Priebes is an excellent car care center. Everyone is super friendly and they are able to offer estimates and will call before they do anything to your vehicle and get permission over the estimate price if needed. The service and care you receive is the best. This may not be the cheapest service, however you can know that your car is well taken care of. They will call for regular maintenance reminders if needed. They are an all around great group of people.

I was from out of town and had an emergency situation. they were able to fit me in and repair the car to get me back on the road. Price was reasonable and staff was friendly and helpful. would highly recommend.

We live in Illinois, but our daughter is a student at Oklahoma City University. Our D’s car battery went bad a couple months ago while under warranty at Auto Zone, so she replaced it at the AZ next to OCU. She began having the same battery issues almost immediately, so I called Priebe’s thinking it was a bad alternator or draw in the electrical system.Shane answered the phone by introducing himself and asking, “Who do I have the pleasure of speaking with today?” Wow! It’s rare to get that kind of reception anywhere, let alone a car service shop! The rest of my experience with Priebe’s was consistent with this warm reception.They offered to drive my D back to campus after she dropped of her car, which was reassuring for a dad like me who always worries when his D uses Lyft or Uber.Shane called me to let me know that the battery was bad and also the wrong model for my D’s car, which prevented Priebe’s from performing additional electrical tests. Since the battery was still under warranty, and my D has no other transportation, Shane agreed to have their delivery driver trade out the bad battery at Auto Zone for us! The person I talked to the night before at AZ didn’t pass on that Priebe’s would be there on my behalf, so Shane called me to make sure they were at the correct AZ. I called the AZ manager and straightened things out, but Shane could have just had the driver go back to the shop and put the onus back on us to get the battery swapped out... but he didn’t!Priebe’s continued their electrical testing with the new correct model battery. Fortunately, they didn’t find any problems with the electrical system; it was just a bad battery from AZ. The total charge for all their effort was only $117, which was less than I thought it would be, and certainly less than they deserved! Also, the fact that they didn’t find anything wrong is reassuring; some shops always find something wrong, even when nothing is wrong.This experience ended by my D calling Priebe’s to coordinate being picked up by their driver at her dorm to go pick up her car!I trust Priebe’s and Shane wholeheartedly with my D’s car and will only take her car there for any future problems! This was one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had and am happy to recommend Priebe’s to everyone! Thank you Shane, and thank you Priebe’s!

My ancient car started having problems, and a friend highly recommended Priebe’s. They were honest about what my car needed and would have fixed it at a good price, but due to the extent of repairs needed and the age of the car, I elected not to go that route. The charge for the diagnosis and poking around in the engine was also a good notice. While I am disappointed, it certainly was not the shop’s fault, and I will be using them again. They also had a “contactless” experience for those of us who are trying to stay well during the pandemic, and I very much appreciate that.

I love this auto shop! They have taken incredible care of my 06 Mustang. I feel they are very honest and give great advice. Then, when I bought an Audi and the Audi dealership couldnt get my car in for over two weeks for an oil change...Priebes got it in the next day. They have this really cool system where they text you a link after they have evaluated/serviced your car and it has photos of everything, like, instead of being told you need a new air filter you can see the photo yourself. Car issues on a road trip, bad movie, right?!? Priebes turned this crazy situation into a happy ending movie!! Just passing through town you dont know people, places-we were lucky to have picked them! From the check in, to the thoroughness of the mechanic, so accommodating-all A+ service!! If they hadnt been so helpful, I think we wouldve given up and gone home. Ive bragged on them to anyone that will listen, so thank you all again for everything you did. It really made what could have been an awful situation great. And my car is now working perfectly thanks to them!!!

Replaced passenger headlight

I had always heard good things about this shop going all the way back to the 1980s, and it was only until recently that I needed my car fixed. My cars suspension had a serious issue and I knew was going to be a potentially expensive repair at a Dealership, but after calling around a few other places, I learned Priebes estimate was cheaper but reasonable.. I made an appointment for Tuesday and they had my car ready the next day, much quicker than I had anticipated.. They did a great job and my car is like new again. I highly recommend and no doubt will bring my car back for future service!

I dropped my car off on a Sunday - I used the night drop, which was quite convenient and secure. You fill out your contact information on an envelope, describe the issue briefly, and put your key in the envelope. Your key goes through a mail slot inside the building.I got a call from the shop at 10am on Monday with an initial estimate. By 4:30 he called again to let me know my car was ready to pick up. In all, I was quite pleased with the shop’s speed and quality of service, as well as the convenience of drop off. I would rate them highly on communication also - they utilize automated texts to let you know your status, as well as to follow up after the service is complete. I will definitely come back for future needs.

Had a great experience here! Had had some bad work done on my car at another mechanic that didnt fix my problem. Brought it in to Priebes and they got right to work! Everyone was so nice and communicative. By the time my car was fixed (and it wasnt long), I felt like I had been included on every step of the process! Highly recommend!

Seems pretty dishonest. I call for a general quote of a wheel bearing replacement. They wouldn’t even give me a estimate “without looking at it” I took it to the dealership, I know it’s for sure a wheel bearing. But they couldn’t even give me a general quote “without seeing it first” I would like to know before I spend hours waiting on them to look at it to tell me it’s some outrageous price. I’ll take it somewhere else, that doesn’t beat around the bush.

It took me a while to shop round and find my auto shop in Oklahoma City after moving back a few years ago, but Im sticking with Priebes as long as Im around here.Theyve done both simple and complex work on my car, from brakes and tires to complicated electrical/electronic stuff. Theyve always worked efficiently and honestly, taking the time to explain more difficult or confusing issues in a patient, professional, and no-pressure way that shows a lot of real care for their customers and inspires trust.Their technicians have a lot of experience and tend to work quickly, and the people running the front, from the owner to drivers who will give you a ride if you need it and pick you up, are always genuine and courteous. I cant recommend Priebes highly enough.

I have been taking my VW Bug to Priebes for 9 years now. They are honest and only do the work that is needed. Its also great they will take me home after I drop my car off and come pick me up. I dont trust the Dealerships. I wont go anywhere other than Priebes.

One of my best experiences at an auto clinic. My daughters car broke down in okc. I live 150 miles away. I called Priebes. John(owner)was very friendly and concerned. He got her car in that day. Found the problem that day. They shuddled her to work. They took care of all warranty paper work and phone calls. Work was done promptly. Totally professional. Totally recommend to everyone.

They were very nice to me and had pretty speedy service for my oil change. I am still pretty upset with them for telling me I needed to pay $70 for a cabin air filter change when 1. I came in for an oil change, why are you in my air filter? and 2. My dealership changed it 2 months before that. This is a common scam that mechanics do to women and I feel like they were trying to take advantage of me.

Excellent service. They call and let you know how much your bill will be before they start the work. I like their ability to drive you back home when you leave your car and they pick you up when the car is ready. I would highly recommend Priebes!

My car was doing weird stuff, and I was flipping out! I made an appointment to go in to Priebes. By the time I got there, Shane had done research and even showed me a Youtube video hed found of someone elses car doing the exact same inexplicably bizarre thing. I immediately started to feel better!The mechanic was able to diagnose and fix the issue(s) that same day while I hung out in the comfortable, wi-fi equipped waiting room. They explained everything that my car needed, and which things were most urgent. All the staff I met were super nice. The shuttle driver offered to drive me around several times. I didnt want to leave my car alone while it was in the hospital, but if you want a ride home or even just to go out for ice cream, the shuttle driver will hook you up.Shane kept me posted on what was happening, answered all my questions, and even kept a straight face when I asked if getting security-wanded at an event might have corrupted the data in my car key. After the repairs were finished, he explained everything again and gave me a printout listing everything they did. I even got a helpful schedule of when basic maintenance needs to be done in the future.This is ridiculously long for a review. Im just so relieved that the car is ok, and that I had such a good experience with Priebes. Im a single woman, pretty smart in general but dumb as a rock about cars. I never felt disrespected or ripped off. Thanks, guys!TL;DR go to Priebes.

Called to see about getting some work done on my car. I had already purchased part from the dealer, so it was a genuine OE part. Decided I didnt want to undergo the task so inquired about having them do the labor for me. The person I spoke with on the phone hesitated before telling me they wouldnt do it because it was illegal for them to do so. I understand some shops will not install parts brought in and usually it is because they dont make any money off the part. Still for them to say it is illegal to install a part they did not purchase is absurd. Had they simply stated they wouldnt because that is their preference is much more understandable. Claiming it is illegal is downright unethical.

My car started making a scrape-y, ringing noise (like a bunch of coins in a tumbler), so I called them to see if I could get my car in to be checked out.After I got there they had someone that could help within a few minutes and I was done filling out the paperwork and handing over the keys within 5 minutes. They came outside to make sure they knew which noise was the one I was concerned about (and that they could hear it) before I left so that we were all on the same page. My car got submerged up to the dash and above in a huge flood. I figured that it was certainly totaled (and I had no flood insurance). Not only did Priebes save it, but they did it quick, cheap, and friendly, and I have had no major problems a year later. This place is awesome, and as long as I live in OKC, I will take my cars here for anything.

I received a quote from Priebes to replace my a/c for a little over $2,100. I knew this was high because Id already spoken to my dad about how much to expect to pay. After a couple phone calls to other car repair shops in OKC, I had TWO quotes for $1,300 for the exact same work. The main difference in the quotes was labor. Priebes was going to charge over $1,100 in labor alone! Please call and get other quotes before using this place. You will be glad you did!

Dropped off my 1993 Jeep Wrangler for multiple issues and all were resolved quickly and completely. What I was most impressed about was the constant communication and explanation of the service needed. (And not needed..)We found our new Auto Care facility in OKC for all of our cars now.

I took my vehicle to this shop suggested by AAA thinking it was going to be a good place to have my repairs done properly. The shop called me the next day stating the my car was going to need additional parts, knowing what exactly my car needed I told the manager the they were trying to rip me off! he knew that he couldnt pull a fast one on me because I knew to much. The repairs were done way too fast and not properly, and as a result my car broke down again for the same reason. When I took my car to another shop they fixed and told me that the parts were never replaced and that I was lied to. I am suing the place for a full refund of $1800.00 Be careful taking your car to this place!!
