My home was damaged by my neighbors house fire. The insurance offered me an initial payment that was very low, and didnt include a lot of the work that needed done. Im so grateful Scott was able to help me. He sent my insurance a very detailed list of everything that needed to be completed. The supplements amounted to more than double the initial amount that I was offered by my insurance. Initially the insurance didnt even want to pay for my damaged roof and Scott was able to verify the amount of damage and get proper payment. What a relief. Thanks a million, Scott!

We hired this company when we discovered a water leak had damaged our floor. They came out quickly and were great to work with. There were hickups along the way but Scott stepped up and made sure things worked out. All employees were friendly and nice to work with. The work they did is awesome!

We recently had some water damage in our kitchen that also led to damage in the basement. We started with a plumber who directed us to another disaster clean-up company. At first, that company was responsive and good to work with, but as time went on, we didnt hear back from them. In the meantime, our kitchen was torn up with no definite plans or timeline for repair. Thats when we learned about Certified Disaster Services. They came right out and got started on the process. Due to the pandemic and availability of materials, cabinets, counter tops, etc., it still took several months for our project to be completed, but Craig at Certified Disaster Services was in contact with us the whole time. As soon as materials were available, Craig had a crew out to our house to get things installed. They were very professional and did a great job. Not only that, they also got it done quickly. Craig has since retired and I worked with Dave to settle the bill. He was equally responsive and helpful and I really appreciate working with him. We had done some of the work ourselves to help with the insurance deductible, and Dave walked through each item with us to ensure we were credited for the work we did. My refrigerator hose leaked flooding my kitchen, I did not notice it until 3:30pm when I walked in the house and saw that my feet were wet and my wood floor was starting to buckle. I called my insurance company who referred me to Scott Barben from Certified Disaster he called me right away. I could not believe how quickly they responded, his workers were at my house within the hour and began demolition to remove the damaged flooring. They also covered the doorways with plastic to keep the dust out of the rest of my house. They returned the next day to finish removing the flooring and brought in fans to dry out the floor. Once they knew the floors were dry, they installed the new flooring in one day. Part of my wall behind the refrigerator was wet, so Scott sent Mike Medeiros to replace the drywall he did a great job. Whatever I needed repaired Scott sent the right person out to my house. One of his workers named Fortino Honorato not only helped replace the flooring, but painted my kitchen also, he did an excellent job quickly and professionally, very nice guy. I would definitely recommend them and use them again for future remodeling or renovations, hopefully I wont need disaster services again, but if I do they will be the company I will call. Scott was great to work with always quick to answer the phone or return phone calls and make sure everything was done quickly and to my satisfaction. Great company!! Thanks again Scott

We had water damage in our kitchen that required us to refinish the wood floors. We hired Certified Disaster Services to repair the floors. Scott Barben was our main contact, and was very good at responding to texts and phone calls and answering questions. We did have some problems with the sub-contractors that came over to move the utilities back into the kitchen after the floors were done (they scratched the brand new finished floors), but Scott immediately took action to solve the problem, and a week later the floors were re-finished and now look great!

They had my home completely rebuilt in about 8 months, which was great considering the weather during the winter months.

I refer everyone I know to this amazing team of experts. I know a lot of people will say that “those disaster relief companies will find any angle they can to make an extra buck” but I’ve worked with these guys 3 separate times in 4 years and I’ve never seen any sign that they aren’t trying to equally support my needs and work well with the insurance company at the same time.The first time we had to call them was because we had a protein fire in our basement. They were SO thorough and diligent in making sure that our needs were met and that our basement was returned to even better condition than it had started in.The second time we had a plumbing issue in our wall. This time there were certain things the insurance wouldn’t cover. However, they found a way to help us make the proper repairs.This last time we have moved to a different home. But when we found a slow leak that had been going for quite some time behind our fridge in our kitchen I knew who I Needed to call. We had mold and fungus that caused the floor to bubble in several areas, rotting wood and possible black mold issues. They have gone above and beyond once again to help our house feel safe, secure and more like home than before.They are exceptional! I feel they always have my best interests at heart. Craig is always on top of things and I’m always impressed. I haven’t had a worker in my home that made me concerned or uncomfortable even once. They work amazingly well with my insurance and help create a happy win-win for everyone involved. Having a home catastrophe can be stressful but I’m so grateful for the Certified Disaster team. We purchased a home that had a leaky toilet ring. Our inspector completely missed and when it finally began leaking through the ceiling into the basement (2 years later) we had a very moldy, mildewey horror of a mess hiding inside the ceiling/floor. We have a daughter with severe allergies and couldnt do the mold thing. Certified Disaster services truly rescued us. They completely cleaned out the mold, kept it contained from spreading throughout the house as they sanitized and thoroughly dried, and made certain the mold was completely gone prior to completing the finish work. I had a company come in to deal with a toilet that flooded and they made matters extremely worse we even had to leave our home due to them. I gave Certified a call and Craig came right out, his team was out quickly and had the entire situation under control so fast Todd and Amber were amazing we found mold and they contained it and we got to come back home quickly. Then Mike was next he did an awesome job with my Sheetrock it looks great, He was courteous and professional. Everything was done so smoothly and Craig made things so easy for me he dealt with insurance issues and went above and beyond to help us. Brett did and amazing job with painting looks beautiful and Dave installed my cabinetry he is very courteous and they all are professional people to have in your home. We recently had ceiling damage due to our swamp cooler leaking and we were referred to Certified Disaster Services. We are very pleased with the work they did to repair our ceiling. Todd and Amber came in and took care of the demolition while Mike repaired the drywall. It was a bit of a challenge, however, he did a great job. John was the painter and he went above and beyond to get the job done along with a few extra touch ups for us. Scott was so helpful and made sure that the job was up to the highest standards. They were all so friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend.

Work was done well not perfect. Took multiple come back backs to fix the same problem. They did work around my schedule. The contractor that came out was late on more than one occasion. When it came time to pay, I was unimpressed. I got an invoice with no information on how to pay. The website listed does not work (they are well aware of this). I called and they mailed me an envelope to mail back my payment yet again with no information on who to even make the check payable to. I would not recommend this company.

We want to let everyone know that Craig and his team were awesome! The day we had the flooding in the basement, they came within an hour and did a survey. Then they came the next day (on a weekend too) and did some more on site inspection to determine the damage. They pulled up the flooring and did everything quickly. Craig kept us in the loop and was in constant contact with us about the basement issues. He was awesome and we would recommend him highly ! He was superb and very friendly and had all his guys come out whether it was the demo guys to pull up the floors, the plumber, and also the tile guy to come out and redo the floors. I rarely give out 5 stars, but I have no qualms giving him the full 5 stars. Nobody wants to have to deal with a disaster. But when you are faced with such a situation, you must have a skilled and knowledgeable crew with a director who coordinates the process. We were lucky to have Scott Barben to estimate and direct; he was always calm and answered all of my questions at any time; also Mike (drywall), Chris ( base and trim) Guy (paint) and Brett (paint). The work was well done with attention to detail. Everyone was polite and friendly and tried hard to be as unobtrusive as possible. No one wants a repeat basement flood... but if ever needed I know where to go. We love our better-than-before basement.

Where to begin? I was told by the project manager that everything would be repaired within 2 weeks. However, 3 months later, I still dont have blinds in my house. On two different occasions, I took time off of work to meet the employees in order for them to take window measurements for the replacement window coverings, however, they were no show-no calls both times. My time is valuable, and I dont appreciate being stood up. When calling the project manager (who obviously quit working there), I spoke with the new man in charge. He suggested that I just take a cash reimbursement and do the job myself. Seriously?? They have been paid to do this job, but do not want to do the services that they were paid for.When replacing my light fixtures in the basement, they bought the cheapest ones available from Lowes. Luckily, I was there before they installed them and told them that what they bought would not suffice. The two original light fixtures were a 3 bulb, and they purchased 1 bulb fixtures to replace them. Its a basement: its dark. There is a big difference between 6 light bulbs and 2.I will say, however, the paint job that the painters did was great.The lack of attention to details, and the fact that they are no shows/no calls is why I would never hire this company.

We were on our way to Las Vegas on a Thursday when we got a call from my son saying that we had a poop flood in our basement. AHHH!!! My real estate friend, who happened to be in the truck with us, immediately called CDS and they were on site within 2 hours starting the mitigation. They were so efficient, Sam and the crew actually had the mitigation complete by the time we got back on Monday evening!The next phase had me engaging with Scott, the Project Manager, and that part went about as easy as it gets. He walked me through the insurance appaiser expectations and the claim and repair estimate processes and has been integral in assisting me in my decisions during the entire timeline of this stressful event.The repair phase also went exceptionally well, thanks to Sal and his crew/contractors. I hired Certified Disaster Services to rebuild my home and restore my contents and Im so glad I did. We used Certified Disaster for our clean up after our house fire. They were slow, took 20 minute smoke breaks every hour, stole things from our cabinets (that were supposed to be destroyed by the fire, but werent) and didnt keep records of anything they threw away for insurance purposes. They were not helpful when we tried to use our own carpet guy, instead of theirs and made problems where there werent any. Our main rep for the company, Jason, was dishonest in his records and because of him the contractor we used to rebuilt cabinets took off with $5600 of our money. We were less than happy with their services. But they are what their name implies...a Certified Disaster!*Update....Glen with Certified Disaster called me to “make it right with us” and said he would contact me to talk things through the next day and never called beck. That was 3 months ago....
