Paid $100 for a diagnostic on my computer just to find out they couldnt get it to start up either..

I gave these guys a tablet and asked them to fix the screen. They kept it for 4 weeks and then called me and said it was done. When I picked it up nothing had been done to the tablet and the employee was clueless on why nothing had been done. I wasted 2 hours with these guys for nothing.
If I could give them 0 stars thats what they would be getting. I took my phone in cause it wouldnt come off of the starting phone screen. They told me there was nothing they could do but send it in and I would have to pay about 150$ for a new phone. I then came home and googled how to soft reset and it fixed my phone. In the end all they wanted was my money. They didnt even try to soft reset my phone or anything.
My phone was having issues and needed repair. I had been in contact with Apple and it was still under warrantee so they suggested to take it in to this store or the Apple store in Farmington, Farmington being a bit further I decided to go to Best Buy in Riverdale. Yeah never again! First off the guy who helped me seemed like he had no interest or effort to assist me then he said my phone was damaged so it voids my Apple Warrantee my phone is not damaged at all! just has a couple scratches on the screen. I told him it was not damaged and he proceeded to say that because the screen has scratches apple takes that as being damaged, I kept saying how that made sense since my phone was not cracked but anyways his next words were Well we can try to fix it but we most likely cant and if we cant you just need a new phone which will cost you $400 right then I told him thanks for his help and walked out. The next day I went in to the Apple store in Farmington and they couldnt fix the issue so got me a new phone in less than 10 minutes. Goes to show they dont know what the heck they are talking about. seemed like they guy wanted to get me out as soon as possible and not resolve my issue, at least thats the vibe I got from him. Lesson learned I guess.
I took my computer in under warranty and they said they had to send it out to asus, which was fine. But I get it back and it had windows 8 on it when they told me it would be windows 10 and now it won’t even download any updates for the hard drive or graphics card and they refuse to do anything else with it or fix the problem that wasn’t there before even though it’s still covered in their warranty. Total waste of time or money.
Ive had the geek squad protection plan since May 2017 on my galaxy S8 and when i called in to cancel my plan they could not find any information under my phone number or name. They found my account using my credit card number and informed me it was covering a phone number Ive never been associated with. I asked to be refunded a full amount since i wasnt being covered and was told there was nothing they could do except cancel the service. Then the representative put me on hold for 25 minutes and i had to use anther phone to call back in to confirm my card would not be charged in the future. i will never use geek squad again or even step into best buy. Ive had an account with best buy for over 9 years but theyve lost my business for good. Id also recommend they hire people in the USA for their customer service contact line because they were very hard to understand and were probably located over seas.
Michael (not myself) over there at Geek Squad sets the standard for customer satisfaction. Ive never seen someone work so hard and so diligently to solve my problems.I went in when the hard drive on my laptop completely crashed and he worked hours on end to help me recover all of my files and bring my laptop back to life - even better than before!He educated me along the way and never once made me feel like a burden. He worked as if the problem was his own and was desperate to find a solution.I cant speak for the rest of the teams performance but I can speak for Mikes and Ill tell you what, when it comes to tech support, this guy is the real deal.Thank you, Michael T!
Geek Squad has never failed to solve a problem for me. They are quick and efficient and always friendly.
Ive had an unsatisfactory experience. I originally had sent my Samsung notebook to them for help with my charger port. I waited two weeks, only to be met by disappointment. Sure, my charging issue was fixed, but that only brought a whole ton more problems. I am having blue screens on boot and driver issues. This did not happen after I sent my laptop to GeekSquad. Now Im just going to ask Samsung themselves with any problems I have, do not trust these guys.

Every single time I have gone in for help they try to factory reset my computer. They dont actually know how to do anything else.
