Scam!!! I should have never rented from these people running a business out of their house on Facebook. They charged me $500 for a bent prop when we never even went out on the boat. Upon arrival I inspected the boat and took 26 pictures before trailering the boat to the lake. She made me aware of a rip in the canvas top. So we opened it up about half way and showed it to me. After we got to the lake I tried setting up the top and realized that the rear was much larger than what she showed me. We contacted them immediately and sent pictures and let them know. They were understanding and asked us if we would like to keep it for a discounted price or bring it back for a refund. Since we have a 1 year old child and the UV index was a 9 that day we decided that 6 hours in full sun was not a good idea and took it back. When we got back we did a walk around inspection and I took another 24 pictures of the boat. They gave us a refund for the full amount including the security deposit and that was that. 2 days later I received a charge for $500 on my credit card. I thought it was a mistake so I tried contacting them. No answer. Text, no answer. Another couple of calls and text over the course of a week with no answer. After a week had passed I decided to dispute the transaction with my credit card company. And now today I received a letter from my credit card company stating that they provided documentation of a “bent prop” and that I would need to respond within 30 days. This is your worst nightmare when it comes to renting boats or anything which is why I take tons of pictures before and after anytime I rent anything. This is far from over but now is my time to help others avoid these people and don’t waste your money. I so regret choosing to do this on our last day of our anniversary trip.
