The gym has pretty decent equipment but unfortunately it is not well kept up at the University location.Rope pulls worn out and frayed.A couple of the barbells are bent.One of the power racks appears to have either home, or poorly made bar hooks. They are threaded but don’t fully thread leaving the loose and hanging.The Cybex machine has been down for months.The front door is frequently broken restricting access.And the bathroom is usually unstocked and unkept.And lastly,The “music” repeating has got to change, depressing at best.

Dont sign up here if you strength train or want value for your hard-earned money.Ive been a member for almost two years now and when I first came I was excited. Flex24 seems like the whole package at first: a big gym with every machine, class, and real lifting equipment youll ever need. However, they are severely lacking in true lifting equipment department. If you go in for a tour make sure to feel any of the bars. Not a single one has an ounce of knurling. That means zero grip. Take a closer look at any bar and youll see the best one is at least a little bent and the worst is unusable. I cant imagine how long its been since the gym bought a single new bar. These are the same bars Ive been forced to use for all this time and there is no sign of management buying new ones.The second most alarming thing is the flat bench presses. Every benchs cushion has awkwardly been deformed by decades of a thousand butts. Further, they are very cushioned limiting your ability to generate tightness in your bench press. The worst offense though is recently one of these benches broke so management ordered a bench MORE CUSHIONED THAN MY BED. That new bench I was excited about is complete unusable unless you want to take a nap. To put it simply: the owners and managers dont understand or dont care about the basic needs of people who actually require proper lifting equipment for strength training.And I just want to note that I paid less for a corporate gym in downtown Houston with better barbells than this gym. The price is simply outrageous. Further, You have to pay summer enhancement fees (Ive paid twice) so they can enhance the gym. I simply dont understand where this money is going? Theyve shown lists of minor upgrades to the university location and new group fitness equipment but Im paying these fees as well and my basic needs havent been met for two years. For the amount of members paying 80 dollars JUST for equipment upgrades I dont understand how they couldnt buy 3 or 4 new $200 barbells. As a paying customer I feel ripped off.If you are new to lifting and want personal training, dont look for it here. Ive only seen one personal trainer here and Ive watched him do questionable things to his clients that only a medical professional should be doing. I can see this as a disaster waiting to happen because theres no way this man has a chiropractic or physical therapy license. I looked at his card and his cert is from ISSA. This is the easiest and open-book personal trainer certification. Basically anyone could get this certification with no need to ever study. Any self-respecting gym should turn this cert away and demand personal trainers with certs on the level of NASM or ACE. And if you are looking for training you should do your research on personal training credentials and get the best qualifications for the money you are paying.The most frustrating thing is these issues can be fixed so easily if management just involved the members. They could use social media to have members vote on where the equipment upgrades are going (if any at all...). They could talk to a good sample of different lifters and get some insight into good equipment to buy. But no, they just buy the cheapest and worst equipment possible (if they buy new equipment at all) and use social media to lure more people into a bulletproof contract to make more money. Putting it simply, this is not really a gym run by passionate owners, it feels like a money making scheme. I would say if you are in the area at least look into paying less at smaller gyms like Paynes and Heros. And if you are a serious lifter make the drive to midland for Iron Will Gym.

Moved to Odessa from Canada. Researched a few gyms before coming and this decided to check out Flex24 as well as a few others in the area. I was impressed on my first view of the gym. The front desk staff was mediocre at best. I explained I’m new to Odessa and want to sign up for a gym membership somewhere. Is asked if the do a few trial day and was quickly told no they don’t. The guy at the font desk basically said it’s $16.00 drop in or $75.00 to become a member. No real excitement at all about potentially gaining a new member from staff or any effort to build some rapport. I had to ask for a tour of the gym which also showed no excitement whatsoever. A gym is a place someone should feel welcomed right away and comfortable. All in all the gym good. I signed up for a memebership. Price is very high per month and no access to the other Flex24 gym which is odd. I’m still not 100% sold on this gym but didn’t want to spend another $16.00 to do another drop in. I’d suggest some training on staff in sales so people can get excited. Three day trial period would be great as it is a very good layout and if the staff showed some passion or excitement about the gym I’m sure people would sign up.

Amazing gym, it offers all you need. They have the best work out equipment in Odessa. Clean environment and friendly and professional staff always encouraging you to get in shape. If you need something, they get it for you. They are always improving the facilities and services.I love the class schedule, a lot of choices!!!!! The child care area is great, perfect for families. Flex24 has a great staff along with a wide assortment of weights and machines, the outdoor expansion gives you the opportunity to get a good workout in with the comfort and freshness of the outdoors and the best part is your kids can have fun while you do too in the childcare room. They also offer group fitness classes that are amazing for any person regardless of fitness level; whether fitness is your second language or youre just staring out your fitness journey youll be hooked to the exhilarating music and upbeat moves . Anyone could become their best self at Flex, its definitely where Odessa builds better bodies.

Flex 24 is by far one of the greatest gyms I have made a membership with. Before becoming part of the staff, I came here for a few months and was pleased with how clean the facility is always kept, the wide variety of equipment here and how friendly all the staff is to help with any issues that came up. The dry sauna, outdoor workout range and smoothie bar just give a brief idea on how unique this place tries to be! And with the one time annual enhancement each year, there is only greater things to be expected. If physical and mental self-growth is what you are striving to achieve, the environment here leaves you with none the less!

I have worked here at Flex for 2 years now. It is amazing when you work at a place that supports fitness, family and friendship like Flex! They have the best equipment, classes and childcare around! I love how clean everything is when I come to work and to workout. I know 24 hours a day it is a safe and amazing place for me to come in and get back in shape after having my little girl. I cant wait to see this Junes upgrades!!! The updates are always worth the wait :)

The gym is cool but MAKE SURE you read that contract THOROUGHLY before you sign it. I’m needing to cancel a membership (I had to move and have a couple of other personal reasons for needing to cancel) but can’t do that due to the amount of money they’re wanting in order to cancel. I could transfer my membership to someone else but I don’t know anyone in Odessa that would want to pick it up.

Love this gym! Its always clean and neat. They have all the equipment I could need and it all seems to be new and in great condition. Its never too busy so I never have to wait to use anything. Its definitely the best gym here in Odessa!

There maintenance has gotten bad in that location

Flex 24 is the best gym, best classes and tons of equipment! The staff and instructors treat you more like family! I love this place and the people! And the smoothie bar is amazing! I cant say enough! They offer Les Mills classes and those are the best with tons of variety!

Ive been going there for years and enjoy my work out each time. The staff is friendly and I always see them busy helping others or cleaning and organizing the gym. Im able to go workout in peace on well maintained equipment and it never feels too crowded and I never have to wait on a machine.

I work shift work so being able to go to flex at odd hours is a huge plus. The staff is great and very helpful. Up to date and clean equipment. Amber (manager) is very helpful for any questions or ideas you may have.

Definitely the best gym Ive ever been a member of. There is a dangerous issue with weights being left out and cable attachments in the walk ways. The gym, however, is very clean and has the sweetest members-everyone helps each other out. The equipment os very well maintained and the classes are awesome. Flex 24 is definitely a second family for me.

Flex24 gives you a great experience all the way through. The best part is the outdoor exercise area for those days you dont want to be stuck inside working out. Its different from any other gym Ive seen and the staff is friendly and helpful with any questions you have.

This gym is perfect for the first timer no crowds equipment is great hassle free then when your ready you can go to the big one and the experience is greater! So for female first timers its perfect no meat heads or gym eyes or creepers!

Amber is the best! One of the many reasons why I enjoy coming here. Shes so great with the kids and great at making smoothies. I hope she never leaves.

I warned you again, dont join this gym or you will be ripped off by these people. They will charge whatever fees they feel that your fault such as late fee (nothing wrong with the bank or you decided to change the payment method, you better to watch out) and their cancellation fee is totally ripped you off. This place is cursed!

I appreciate all the help and work that Amber does towards making the gym a better place. She is very helpful and you can tell she enjoys her job. Also the new cable system they added is a great addition to the gym.

Flex 24 is the most awesome gym I have ever been to! Les Mills classes are awesome as well as their instructors. Flex 24 is the first place where I have been inspired to get in shape! Fun and Friendly atmosphere and great for families!

I’ve been a member for years and a huge fan of the bring a friend Friday. It’s been a thing for years. Well today (without notice) I brought a friend and was told “that’s no longer a thing.” I was extremely frustrated and upset and the only consolation I received was “well he can purchase a day pass.” Are you kidding me? I’ve been a loyal member for years and have never had an issue when I have brought a friend on Friday. I think it was very rude the way the manager handled it and when she was confronted I was told “sorry, that’s not a thing anymore.” I really do love this gym but I am very disappointed with the way the manager handled the situation.

I been a member since they opened in 2007. They have been improving this place every years since day one. This is the only gym i have been in that have a cleaning crew clean the bathrooms on a daily basis. And now with 2 locations even better.....Love IT.

This gym is very neat and well taken care of, I enjoy the group fitness classes provided at the 42nd location, and I love how friendly everyone is. Overall just a great gym to go to! :)

This gym is the best filled with amazing staff, the free weight selection is awesome everything about this gym is the best especially the classes and the instructors I wouldnt go to any other gym. This gym is amazing!!!! Amber is always so pleasant to see and the kids daycare is unbelievable. Love all the choices of machines, cross fit, classes, cardio... You name it they got it.

This gym will rip you off. They charged me for months after my contract was over and never contacted me and then sent my non payments to collections! They then proceeded to blame me for the staffs incompetence. Nice facility but horrible business ethics.

BEWARE***DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS GYM!! My husband and I work as contractors and are only in certain places for 6 months to a year, so we specifically asked the young man about early termination in case we had to leave before the year ends, he explained it wouldnt be a problem as long as we showed proof of relocation, there couldnt be another one of their gyms within so many miles and also we would have to pay 30 days in advance, so sounded legit and fair, we never thought twice about actually going over the fine print on the contract trusting the knowledge of the employees. Worst Mistake Ever!!! Come to find out by the manager Stephanie, it would cost over $600 per person to cancel early or find someone who will take over contract which that would be another $75 per person to even do that as she states we will do anything we can to help, She Absolutely Will!! Anything she can to take all the money she can from you without even feeling bad. Im sorry I know it was our fault for not going over the contract but you normally take it for granted and think people are honest to ho over what you are signing. After seeing we were still being charged after emailing the information we were told to, never got a response, finally we spoke to the Assistant Manager Julie, she said the same thing about the cancellation that the young man did so you will get the run around and a bunch of Im sorry for the miscommunication. STAY AWAY!!

This one is closer to work for me so its great if Im on the weights and not doing a class at the one behind the mall. Always so clean.

I have been going here for approx. 3yrs. Yeah its a little more expensive than other gyms but I would rather pay a little more and have a better workout without the crowds any day.

The things I like about flex 24 is all the employees are very nice and helpful makes others feel comfortable working out also it is a clean environment and keeps everything up to spec which keeps others wanting to come and have fun at the gym.last but not the hospitality is the greatest and the employee Amber crossland keeps everyones spirit up and makes others feel great about themselves
