After over a year of waiting through supply chain shortages, Sherper’s was the only dealer I could find, that I could feasibly drive to, that was able to work with me to pay ahead of time for a specific Old Town model and color kayak I wanted. Folks in the store were super friendly and one of their staff even helped me figure out how to tie down in the front and rear of my car. Everything from the purchase to the pickup was a pleasant experience.

I have bought a few things here. They have more high end equipment for camping, running, hiking, kayaking and general outdoorsy stuff. Never had any real interaction with the staff except at one checkout. I ordered online form Sherpers and the product was good quality and fairly priced online. Overall a good place to look and get an idea what you want and but if its in stock.

Always great! You will feel like family when you shop at Sherpers. Beats the corporate big box stores, impersonal service. The prices compare well.

Went in to find some Some good warm Cross country ski gloves . I was prepared To spend 70 or 80 But I found just the pair I needed for 39 . There are helpful and knowledgeable.

We love Sherpers! The staff is always friendly and so helpful to find what you need. They will beat any competitors price and are happy to search for your items at their other location if needed. Weve done kayak and paddleboard rentals through them and each time theyve been so helpful to assist in loading and strapping down your rentals. They have plenty of accessories to safely tie up everything. The clothes they carry are awesome and great quality! Definitely check out this local business!

I bought a couple of Kayaks back in early May. Thought I knew exactly what I wanted, but after talking to Eric (I believe), I changed my mind! He was an avid kayaker, very knowledgeable, answered all my questions and was unbiased. I couldn’t be happier with my decision to buy the Olde Town Loon. Delivery was seamless and he was knowledgeable as well. Advised me on carriers for my truck and how to handle the kayak. Highly recommend Sherpers!

Bought an old Town Loon 120 today and service was awesome. The guys there were super knowledgeable and patient with me while I took an hour to decide on a kayak. Not pushy and nothing but helpful. Theyve got my business as long as Im in the area.

Growing up in Oconomowoc we would frequently visit Sherpers and we always received good service and the store was well kept. More recently I have rented kayaks from them several times and the gentleman working was very pleasant and helpful and everything went well. However this past week I have been trying to rent kayaks online from them for the upcoming weekend and their website seems to be down, I called about this on Monday and spoke with the rudest woman, unfortunately I don’t know her name but she was so unpleasant and just kept saying “if the website is down we don’t do rentals” I was trying to inquire if there was some way to reserve over the phone or if I stopped into the location if they could make an exception as we had company coming to town and we would really like to use them for our rentals. Instead she told me the website will be up in 30 minutes and to just keep trying otherwise they can’t rent to us. The website never came up and so today I thought I would try calling them one more time and hopefully speak with someone more accommodating but unfortunately I got the same woman with a terrible attitude who just kept saying “mhmm” in the sassiest voice when I would ask anything. I’m not sure how they rented kayaks before an online reservation system but I’m certain it wouldn’t be that hard to ring my credit card up in store, either way no excuse for rude service. Regrettably I will be taking my business elsewhere, where I don’t have to beg them to buy their services.

We went in looking for Girl Scout items. We were greeted by friendly and knowledgeable employees who helped us with find exactly what we were looking for! They were there to answer our questions without being pushy! They really meet all of your outdoor adventure needs! We highly recommend shopping at this store!

A surprisingly good collection of nice outdoor clothes and gear

Sherpers has what you need!! Camping, hiking, canoes,boots, jackets,military gear. This is an older store. I prefer the Hales corners store. This one seems crowded with things. Can be hard to move around. But you cant say they lack on products!!

I havent been in there I a few years and but I will be going back there they have Baffin Boots witch is the warmest winter boots you will ever find and camping equipment nice place to go.

Best place for outdoors gear! I buy all my camping stuff here. Staff is friendly and have always been very helpful.

Ive rented kayaks and paddleboards from them. Everyone is always extremely nice and helpful. They even help you get the rentals onto your car securely!

Sherpers is Sherpers. Prices are good. Kind of caters to the outdoorsman but not really. Surplus inventory is what it is. Good knife selection though; Bark River, Esee, SpiderCo., Benchmade, and American Made Buck Knives. Knive cases in Hales Corner were in a bit of disarray with lack of knowledge by employees. Oconomowoc store visit was excellent but store is smaller than HC.

Not bad, has a variety of things that you would expect at a surplus/outdoor store. Kind of was wanting to see more military surplus for sale though.

Small but powerful. The store has a good selection of sporting goods and sport clothes. I enjoyed browsing through it. Its the best sport store in Oconomowoc, so try there first before driving too far.

Great staff to assist with all questions and give non-pushy product advice. Ben was great and helped me make a great choice for my first Kayak and paddle.Glad to give this store my business.

Sherpers is an outdoor enthusiasts retail store in downtown Oconomowoc, WI. If you like outdoor activities - its a great place to spend a little time. They offer a great selection and competitive pricing.We purchased a Lodge dutch oven as a Christmas gift and it was $5.00 less than we could get it at the big box stores. If you are out in Western Waukesha County, Sherpers is a nice stop.

The store hasnt changed since I was a little girl, but its guaranteed to have people who know what they are taking about, high quality items, and a decent selection. They have a good selection of camping great, knives, clothes, and footwear. Downstairs they have quite a selection of tents and kayaks.

Everytime I am in Oconomowoc I have to stop here!! Super awesome selection of hunting, camping, fishing, hiking, snowshoeing, survival, and military surplus gear!! Must stop shop for rope, Paracord, webbed strap, buckles, camo netting and tons more. Prices are very fair.

I have lived in Oconomowoc for 25 years and shopped here just as long. Unfortunately, I will not be shopping here anymore. I purchased a pair of expensive waders and used them twice before leaks occurred in three separate areas. I tried to return them to get another pair, but was told I needed to have proof of purchase even though the original tags were still on them. I got the records and went back to and they then told me it didnt matter, that they wouldnt help me. I asked what the policy was and the manager didnt really know. So, I have my new leaky waders and they have one less customer.
