This locations service is absolutely HORRENDOUS, as you can also tell from many of the comments here. I waited 3 weeks for a massage they booked and confirmed, only to drive there and have them tell me they didn’t see it and they gave the slot away. They told me they’d book another appointment in 2 weeks and help me out when I got there. I waited 2 weeks and when I got there they did NOTHING for me and told me they couldn’t do anything. I can’t believe their management, super rude.I do want to say Sari did an amazing massage and she deserves to be at a better location. However, I’m never going to this place again, there’s a much better massage place in Carlsbad!
I had an appointment with this location. The therapist had an issue and had to cancel. But they didnt call my phone or text. They sent an email, less than 1 hour before my appointment!Of course I hadnt checked my email and showed up for my appointment, 10 min ahead of schedule, only to find out my appointment was cancelled!SLAP IN THE FACE!!! They sent me a text after my appointment was cancelled saying, that I had to cancel the appointment! Why couldnt they text me before? Dishonest! Nice try!I will never return here! Office staff NEEDS training!
I just had the BEST upper body (med) deep tissue massage by Clare! She worked on muscles that I didn’t even realize were tight, all the while being cognizant of how much pressure was needed for which area. Highly, highly recommend her!
Ive had numerous massages and two facial services at this location. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful. The massage therapists and estheticians are professionals and provide excellent care. I highly recommend Corrin for facials (saw her twice). She is outstanding, and the 90-minute facial is a relaxing indulgence.

I have young onset Parkinsons disease and deal with a lot of pain. For instance, the last three months I have been laid up recovering from brain surgery. All this during Covid so my wife couldnt even visit me in the hospital. I say this because I am more stressed out and frustrated because of Message Envy Oceanside than during brain surgery! They started up their payment engines and charged me while I recovered from brain surgery. I cant even get a message because of my medical device, yet they will not refund me the money.This business is taking advantage of people with disabilities.***Update***I sent the form the Owner sent me a few weeks ago and still nothing. Also, i tried to transfer my messages over to my wife and I cant even do that. They stole $350 from me.
Massage envy charged me while they were closed during a pandemic. After calling several times and leaving several voicemails and threatening to leave bad reviews a manager finally called me back. The manager told me my account was canceled and I was refunded.Of course 30 days later I was charged again. Upon calling the location I was told that I never canceled and that somebody would get back to me within 72 hours. When she was flippant I asked the employees name and she refused to give it to me. When I asked her managers name she refused to give it to me. When I asked for the district managers name she refused to give it to me. Same with the owners name.When I told her I was going to leave bad reviews if I wasn’t contacted within 24 hours she told me that she didn’t care that people still come in and that they are always fully booked.This is the kind of attitude and service you can expect if you deal with massage envy. Not only can they not get your account canceled but they are going to be rude, belligerent, and standoffish if you try to get your money back.On top of that who wants to get a massage during a pandemic? This is obviously just a blatant cash grab.
For the last 6 months I have had nothing but TERRIBLE experiences with Massage Envy, Oceanside CA. I canceled my membership and they continued to take money out of my account. Recently, I had a massage scheduled and confirmed for a Saturday. However later on the Friday that they called to confirm my appointment, I had a conflict. I called them and rescheduled my Saturday appointment for Friday night. Mind you, this was my last service on my cancelled membership. However, later the next week, I noticed that ME/Oceanside had charged an account that I DID NOT GIVE THEM PERMISSION to use, for $100. This charge was for the Saturday appointment which I rescheduled for the previous evening (Friday). I have gone back and forth with Samantha, the manager and she informed me last week that they have refused my request to reimburse me the $100. Two things are wrong with this, 1. I rescheduled my Saturday appointment to Friday evening; the front desk person obviously forgot to cancel the Saturday appointment. And.... who gets a massage two days in a roll??? #2. They used an account that I only used twice (maybe three times) to pay gratuity versus using the account that my membership was coming out of. I NEVER gave them permission to put this card on file for anything. I WILL NEVER go back to ME, Oceanside!! ....and yes, I have contacted a lawyer.
I have been a member since last March and will not be renewing my membership. Upon signing up, I received a coupon book for upgrades and such. I had an issue where I used one of my 30 minute upgrade coupons and the person who checked me out instead did NOT use my coupon and instead used 1/2 points from my membership points that I PAID for (30 min upgrade is a half point). I used a coupon in June and a coupon in October for an upgrade so I’m unsure which month they didn’t apply my coupon. Once I found out a half point was taken, in person I told the cashier that this was wrong, they said they would tell their manager and I would receive a call, which I never did. So then I called and someone said a manager would “investigate” and call me back, once again no one called me back. I called for a second time, this time actually speaking with a manager, who said she would call me back and never did. I am so over Massage Envy, once I use the rest of my points MINUS the half point that was robbed from me, I will never come back and I would never recommend any family, friend or acquaintance of mine to step foot in a Massage Envy. A complete rip off. I only come in and use my membership because $70 is charged in my account every month, which I also think isn’t a great deal because there isn’t much benefit to being a member in my opinion.
If you’re looking for a job at this location, DON’T. Their management was highly unprofessional, I applied and got a call back for an interview 2 days later and then did my in person interview. Mind you prior to enlisting into the military I was a Sales Associate and a Junior Clinic Administrator for this company on the east coast. (Loved that location/management) I just thought it was highly rude of the manager to never get back to me on updates if I was offered the part time job or not. As well to having prior experience with Massage Envy, you’d think I would’ve gotten it. But I called back a week later to check the status of my application and was told the manager was in a meeting and they’d leave a message to contact me back. Still haven’t heard back. Unprofessional.
Go see Simone! She’s an amazing masseuses who loves chatting or will let you enjoy the quiet. She even enjoys listening to my Harry Potter audiobook with me. The front desks staff are always nice too.
Great place. Staff is always friendly. My lady, Sari, does a great job and is really a sweet lady. I’m a chatty client and she’s okay with that and she’s good conversation. I’ve had other technicians and they’ve all been good so I have yet to have a bad experience.
If I could give a zero star rating I would. It was the worse experience ever. Will never do business with this place ever again. Each month, Massage Envy would call to remind me about the new charge, which was a nice. When I knew my contract was coming to an end, I kept asking them do I need to do anything to cancel my membership as I do not want to renew. Each and every time the answer was no. To my surprise, I was getting charged after my membership was over and at a higher dollar amount. This place is a total scam. They continued to charge my credit card after my year end contract was over. Since I had about 4 unused massages I wanted to get a couples massage with my husband. I was told that it would cost me an additional 10.00, but actually they charged me 60.00 and of course they did not have any records on file for this charge.
I have been going here for a little over a year and so far the experience has been mostly good. For facials I recommend Juliana, a lovely Brazilian girl who does a terrific job. This place is very clean and I always feel safe there. The also carry Murad products too so watch for the specials. Be careful if signing up for a year commitment, as they also have 6 month plans. A little more than the cheaper places but its very consistent which is important to me.New update, terrible storm here in Oceanside (I could not stand up in the wind and the freeway is a parking lot) and tried to cancel a facial. I am being charged for a same day cancellation because of this. As a consequence I will immediately cancel my membership here. Massage Envy is a chain with no heart and the incompetent young woman at the front desk who had scheduled me for a massage with Julie instead of a facial with Juliana (I found this out when I received a reminder yesterday) should be fired, and along with her fire the incompetent young woman I spoke to on the phone today. No manager available fyi, just another incompetent uneducated coworker who claimed to be in training as manager (like I believe that one). Goodbye Massage Envy, I dont envy anyone who signs up for your convoluted membership program. Corporate Greed and Incompetent poorly trained front desk staff if you can call these thoughtless young women staff.Juliana, by the way still gets my vote as an excellent person for a facial. To the owner, you lost a formerly loyal customer.
I cancelled my membership a month ago and they still charge my card. It is impossible to speak to a manager there because “they don’t have a schedule for the manager” so they can’t tell you when one will be available. I spoke to a manager directly after 2 weeks of trying and was reassured my card would not be charged. And here we are.
These reviews are so clearly from employees and their friends. This place is Horrible! Do not get stuck in a contract... they will never cancel it, continue to call you if you change your payment info. They verbally lie about the contract at the front desk (read the fine print) Dont get stuck in their SCAM. Most of their massage therapists are horrible. They talk to you through the whole 40 min. session (not an hour) Dont know how to deep tissue... there is nothing good about this place! Your better off getting a massage chair!

For Valentines Day I bought a couples massage for me and my girlfriend. The massage therapists were good but the room, beds and lotions were freezing and not enjoyable what so ever. This leads me to believe they werent ready to use the larger room even though I booked it and reserved it as a couples massage. The at the end the receptionist ask me how everything went. I told her. She didnt acknowledge my complaints she just tried to sell me a membership. Definitely will not go back.

I have been a member of Massge Envy for almost 10 years now. My membership is still at a different location because it took an act of Congress to get my membership moved to Oceanside. As a result I am technically a member of a different location and actually I am glad I am NOT a member of this location. The front desk and management has been a revolving door on roller skates. You could not keep up. When they finally had someone great they would end up leaving. It has been better the past few months but for a year..WOW..very high turnover. Also this location has absentee owners. I have never seen them and you can never contact them. Not good.Having said this there are two amazing people at this location. Suri is beyond amazing! I deal with the fiasco of the overall business to get a massage with her. She books way in advance so plan accordingly. Suri is personable and professional and gives the best massage in North County. Also Easton is an incredible facialist. Just one look at Easton’s glowy complexion and you know this is the person to touch your skin.10 stars each for Suri and Easton. 3 stars for the disorganized hassle at the front desk and lack of owner presence.

The masseuses are good at their job and the location is comfortable, but Im not happy with their business practices.They didnt mention they charge for a month after you cancel, so I was charged for an extra month after my 6 month subscription. Which they didnt tell me renewed automatically. Then one front lady scheduled me for my final massage two weeks after my time ran out, so I lost that $60 massage. No recourse, sorry about that. They also didnt tell me up front that I can only pass one massage to another person once per person every six months, which was a pain.Good work on the massage front only goes so far. Wont be coming back, thats for sure.
I got a massage here which was great, Im not going to lie. The only reason Im giving them a one star is because theyre contract is ridiculosly stupid. I signed up not even 12 days ago and tried to cancel due to personal reason however, Im not able to do that until my contract is over. There should be a grace period of at least one month because things do come up that is unexpected. However, I guess just like everything else, this world revolves around money instead of customer satisfaction. And you wonder why this place is not getting good ratings. Theres your problem.

THIS IS THE MOST UNORGANIZED MISMANAGED FACILITY I HAVE EVER BEEN TOO. Their front desk is an absolute nightmare!! Only reason I am checking 1 star is because there are no -negative ones. Save the stress & book at one of their other locations! I called to say I was sick, pucking actually & was told it is my choice if I want to come in sick, if not theyll be billing me anyway - I had a 2 hour scheduled. Previous to this I showed up several times, they either didnt have the appt or scheduled me with someone who doesnt do the massage type I requested....Their incompetence is endless.... can never get in on short notice it is the WORSE MANAGED BUSINESS I HAVE EVER COME IN CONTACT WITH.
Massage was great and was very relaxing however the front desk staff was a little unprofessional. After I arrived I witnessed a loud conversation between the front desk staff that involved speaking rudely about a customer that had just left and included profanity that I felt was not professional to use in the vicintiy of a customer. Also while checking out I kindly declined the membership when asked about it and was asked multiple times why I wouldnt want to get one, and was told that I wouldnt get anything benefical out of only coming every now you wouldnt go to the gym just once would you? Well its the same thing with massage and so a membership was the only smart option. Had to decline at least 3 times before I was checked out. I understand the pitch of the membership but felt like I was being scolded for not wanting to participate.
