We have a 7 day, Monday through Sunday subscription.Received just 2 newspapers in a 10 day period.Reported 8 failed deliveries in the same period.Never received any inquiries from delivery department or customer service concerning the failed deliveries. After several attempts we finally got a human, not an automated answering service, on the phone to discuss problem. The only resolution that they were willing to offer was to give us credit for the missed deliveries and extend our subscription. What good is a subscription, even if it gets extended forever, if you dont actually get your delivery.Delivery department is undependable.Customer service is just worthless. No real remedies. No follow up.Multiple employees obviously need to beInspired or Fired.
Poor delivery, hard to get ahold of a human when you have a problem, just automated machine. On the 7th day of missing paper finally got a human who is going to escalate our issue to the local person in charge. Updates will be posted.
We have subscribed to the Star Banner for over 25 years and had a handful of problems throughout that time. In June of 2020 our service changed. Numerous problems with a new carrier. When I complained to customer service nothing changed. I called everytime we had a problem and nothing changed no improvement in our service. It actually started to get worse. So I cancelled my subscription and guess what? Im not even in Ocala but my neighbor called today and said the carrier has faithfully delivered my paper every day since Ive been out of town! Even though I no longer have a subscription. Now they want to charge me for every paper delivered since I cancelled! Now Im trying to call them about the papers they keep delivering and two phone numbers listed are 1. Not being answered and 2. Customer service line is automated and my problem is not one of the options so I keep going around in circles trying to talk to someone so I put my phone number in so they would call me back and no one ever did! I dont know whats going on but they SUCK!
It was a good job opportunity, friendly and courteous supervisors, the job was easy to learn and do, the company is engaged in the daily print media, such as newspapers, advertisements
Awesome
I called the newspaper wanting information about placing an ad but after 35:44, I decided that there are other sources more worthy of my time and money.
Pathetic might well describe the Ocala StarBanner. There are multiple phone numbers for the paper, none of which are answered by live employees. The StarBanner charges $2.00 a day...the Villages newspaper charges .50 a day but unfortunately they wont home deliver in Ocala. Oh yeah; the proof-reading on the StarBanner is non-existent and captions read like a 2nd grader write them...for over $700.00 a year?
Old equipment, no proofreading. Theres a reason why the villages Daily Sun is out selling them especially when most of the Star-Banner stories are about their own kids or personal friends rather than actual news. When they do report actual news it is actually days old.
Still by far the best source for local news in Ocala/Marion County. No TV or radio stations provide more than a fraction of the Banners coverage, and much of that spotty reporting results from news they learned by reading it in the Banner. Daily print paper offers 7-day home delivery or weekend-only packages. Also can be combined with digital access or as digital only. Yes, it costs something to subscribe. But ignorance generally is more expensive.
So expensive. Keep raising
Upper management @ OSB, leaves something to be desired. It would honestly seem easy to understand that w/out carriers, the banner wouldnt exist.. In the UNFORTUNATE event that you happen to get stuck talking to: Tim Gallagher, Laura Giacusa, or operations manager Mario, pls excuse them, their little pea size brains cant process any sort of intelligence.. So.. Talk slow, dont say things FAST or COMPLEX .. And dont EXPECT them to do anything but talk abt how smart and savvy they are. Just try not to laugh all the way out to ur car!!!
They are running on a skeleton crew.. and that is a pure shame.. I know this world is about to come to a screeching halt but we still need the papers.. what would happen if we lost the internet?. it is clean organised and for the most part kindly run.. but it is for profit so the little guy suffers when trying to make it .. which is what I wanted to show them.. only 3 stars for pushing the problem into anothers hands..
Can hardly wait 2 get my Sonday newspaper 2day...went 2 my granddaughters Grad @ Livestock Pavillion yesterday(Brittany Aleigh Ferguson)...looking forward 2 pix in paper:) NMHS~GO COLTS!!! XO
Great newspaper....live the readers letters.
Closed down the star banner. Worst place ever to work
Beautiful place great people helpful
Very good and helpful
An hour on the phone....no response...recording says that my call is very important...but should I really believe that?
They have raised the price too many times. Plus, talking to someone to get the paper held when you go away is impossible.Cancelled my subscription after taking this paper for over 4 years.
Thats who I work for
No Mugshots Anymore!!!
Leans very prejudicially to the left
