PatRicks Auto is my new go-to for all my automotive needs. A while ago, new to the area, I was having trouble with my old truck and consulted a highly recommended repair facility, but they refused to work on my vehicle because they said it was too rusty. On my way home, the vehicle broke down so I had it towed to PatRicks because their tv ad resonated with me...We can fix ANYTHING! And they did! I was so happy! Several thousand miles later, after traveling across the country a few times, towing a horse trailer and an RV, the check engine light came on. After receiving conflicting information about recommended maintenance and repair from a dealer and a popular oil change facility, I wasnt sure who to trust. Thats when, once again, I turned to PatRicks Auto. They had me on my way in no time at all at a fraction of the cost, and they dismissed the laundry lists that would have cost thousands. My tuck has a little over 211,000 miles, and with the expert help of PatRicks Auto & Truck Repair, I expect to cross the 300,000 mile threshold!

This was some years back. I dropped off my fifth wheel for a wheel bearing repack. Picked it up a few days later. It hadnt been touched. I spoke with the lady in the office, who called in a shop person, and much yelling was heard from outside the door. I had to come back the next day to pick it up - after they had actually done it. But, they would have been quite happy to have me pay and drive away with a suntan. Once burned....(Addendum: Im impressed that they keep their records seemingly forever, but I can see why after reading some of these reviews. They denied everything that actually happened, as Im sure they did with the rest.)

I have a 2005 Damon Intruder. A slightly older rig but in great shape and I trust Patricks to keep it that way. They did both required and preventative maintenance for me and the work was top shelf all the way around. I had done, Brakes, Bearings, Racers, Chassis lube, Oil Filter, Transmission fluid change, Generator service, Serpentine belt replacement, headlight replacement. One of the many things I really appreciate about them is their knowledge of the quirks different units have. ie. I had asked about the steering pump that was making a little noise at times. They said with my chassis type that that was a common issue and wasnt an indicator of a problem of any sort but true to form checked it out anyway. Thats the kind of insight that only comes from experience that will give you piece of mind when adventuring out in the middle of nowhere. Thanks guys for all of your skill and excellent work! Found my permanent maintenance guys!

They wanted to charge me over $800 for a single wheel bearing replacement. They told me thats about $400 for the parts alone. Bear in mind that is only 1 wheel. The most expensive bearing/hub assembly I could find on line for my truck was $158. I bought 2 online and did both my front bearings and hubs on my own for $300 in just over 3 hours. Im grateful that they found that my ABS issue was just a bad wheel bearing but that price is insane. Still ended up paying $115 for the diagnosis.

PatRicks installed a NEW $400 fan motor incorrectly on my Dutch Star diesel RV which failed, They then reinstalled the old motor incorrectly which failed in Micanopy. Affordable Truck Repair in Gainesville spotted the bad previous install & alerted me. I photo documented all installs & after reviewing, it conclusively shows Patricks charged me $840 labor for bad work plus they destroyed a new $400 fan motor. They have not honored their 12 month/12k mile warranty & will not refund any money for their mistake which cost me over $2500 to repair. Please contact me @phowardgso@gmail if you want proof, I would not do business here again.

We took our diesel RV to PatRicks for an oil change, and are glad we did. They were knowledgeable about the precise product our unit needed and had it in stock. If we had taken our RV to our local oil change spot or if we had done it ourselves, we would have likely screwed up with the wrong weight or formulation product. While there we also got some RV education, always a good thing. We will definitely go back to PatRicks.

They put in new ecm at $1500 for a $300 plug and play part. Took car away..died at first stop. Towed it back,To patricks. They claimed problem was they got a nonupdated ecm and put in updated ecm. At counter picking up car, I was told that if it happens again, I have to pay more. Got service bulletin from Cadillac and 1st thing is do not change the ecmIts a module ground issue or corrosion in connectors to modules. This cts has 5 modules in all...did I learn a lesson? Everyone was so nice and accommodating, we had to spend the night right down from the garage. They recommended the hotel we stayed at, it was very nice. Beside when its alignment issues it because the slideout is defecrive. 1st find the problem and then worry about the allignment. Mechanics us the alignment issues so they can charge us more i believe they dont want to get paid by the warranty companies because they take too long to get reimbursed. Brought my vehicles here for over 5 years. I’ve tolerated the 6hr hour oil changes. But after today I’m not coming back. The whole reason I brought truck in was for 4 new tires. The guy behind the desk and I picked them out a few days before. But I also needed front breaks and transmission flush. Along with a laundry list of other “recommendations” they completely made up and later admitted to. Dropped the truck of in the morning 9am and they said it would be done by 5pm, 4:30 rolls around they said they couldn’t finish it and it would be done first thing in the morning. I agreed because they usually take forever and I expected it. Then they said it would be done by lunch but didn’t get around to call until 2pm. I show up and quickly realize I have my same tires. I left without ever getting tires. I would not recommend ever coming here

Our generator wasnt working. When we tried to start it, it would immediately throw the breaker/shutoff at the battery. My husband suspected the starter was bad and took it to Patricks for diagnosis. They checked and said the batteries were dead so they jump started the generator. The safety breaker was thrown and they had no idea and thought the batteries were dead. They jumped the generator anyway, WHEN THE SAFETY SHUT OFF AT THE BATTERY WAS THROWN. My husband called them and told them about the safety switch not being put back on and asked them if that was going to cause problems or change their diagnosis. Now, the transfer switch is bad. Prior to the starter going out, there were no issues with coach power. The starter is repaired, generator runs perfectly, but the transfer switch is blown. Patricks ignorance of where the safety breaker was located and not resetting it, then jumping the generator, has caused more problems. Expensive problems. We cannot recommend any rv service that is ignorant of where safety breakers are located and there by, causing more problems. Just by reading the responses from the owner on reviews should give everyone cause for concern. Also, estimate given to replace starter was $1300. Repaired for $278.

PatRicks Auto and Truck repair has moved to the top of our preferred truck repair shop list.My Peterbilt truck developed a coolant leak while traveling through Ocala, FL. I Googled truck repair locations close to us and found PatRicks. Charles on the front desk said come on over. Steve, the mechanic, pressure tested the system and found a pinhole leak in one of the hoses. He didnt have the part needed for the repair on hand, but immediately had one of his team drive out and get the part. I was back on the road in less time than I was expecting. Then at the end of the day I received a call from Charles. He was checking in to make sure everything was OK. That was a first for me and over the years I have had a lot of repairs done on the road!!PatRicks is an excellent operation!! Professional, reasonably priced and conveniently located.

I took my motorhome for an oil change, replace the front bump stops and to do the CHF (cheap handling fix). I had purchased new front sway bar bushings (which they installed for me), as I was going to attempt doing The Fix myself. It turned out to be more of a project than I expected so I figured I would let the experts do it. The work was completed while I waited. Through no fault of PatRicks, there were no after market bump stops available and had to be ordered through Ford. It took a few days to get them, but when but when they came in, I received a call and they got me in the next day to install them. I only waited about a half hour and I was on my way. It was a pleasure working with Kyle and I appreciate everyone there extending themselves to make me a satisfied customer.

Patricks has great reviews but when they gave me an appointment they told me 1 to 2 hours for an estimate turned out to be over 3 hours. charged me 85 dollars to drive my car 7 miles and put up on a lift and just look at it not even hooked up to a computer. the mechanic told me one thing and wrote a report completely different. made me feel very uncomfortable so much that I decided not to have my work ever done there on no vehicles. dont know how they can have a good reviews with so much polite sarcasm used by their manager that acted like I was not suppose to ask any questions what so ever even though I was paying out my own pocket. made me late for my college class all because no one could find a price on a single item it took them one hour additional to reach that point and completely twisted my words with a third party that called to talk to them as a different story than what they told me and a witness I had on my cell phone the entire time that heard the entire conversations of my questions and their answers to be different the next day to the other party. I would not recommend this shop to no one because they even missed the obvious visual flat spots on my tires and said that there no flat spots and called it variations instead. this is not a shop that is honest and obviously might make a kickback with money just making up stories. good thing I have a witness. service polite sarcasm with a smile and long waits.

I had an unsatisfactory experience at Patrick’s Auto repair shop. I chose them for my repairs due to customer reviews on the internet, but my experience was not a good one and feel that incomplete service was done on our 2005 RV at that time.In early November we called Patrick Auto and explained that our slide out would not come back in. We had to hire a repairman to come and push it back in manual. We told them that we believe the motor was bad and informed their representatives that and of some other repairs needed. I could not get the fluid lights on the panel inside the coach to work, door hard to close and the awning over the front side needed to be replaceAfter checking out my vehicle, there representatives confirmed the problem and called to let us know when the RV was ready. We picked it up and went on our next outing and found that the slide would go out but would not come back in. The same problem we took it in for. The first time they just checked the slide motor and said it had loose bolts and tighten up the bolts. The second time we had to take it back in for the same problem. Then they said the motor was bad. We told them that when we first bought it in they should have checked the motor and not tell me they assumed that the motor was fine after they tighten the bolts. They charged us the same labor cost for (2) visits which I felt they misdiagnosed the problem and therefore over charged us or should have given us some type of compensation because of their misdiagnoses.I also discovered that they replace both of our awnings when we only requested the front slide out awning be replaced, and we never ask them to replace the bedroom slide out awning. Nor did they call to get permission to replace the 2nd awning.Part of the panel lights were working but when they fixed the fluid light now the power light and other lights do not light up red anymore. Everything works on the inside panel, but we can’t tell if the power is working until we try it because it does not light up RED, the 120-watt converter does not light up RED. They told me it would cost $300.00 to put in the LED blub. These lights were working fine when we took the RV in for repair. Now they are saying there is a short? If there was a short why did they not call us if they needed permission to repair? We gave them our extended warrant number but was told the first time nothing was covered. They did not ask for it the 2nd trip so I thought they had the record. When we picked up the RV, with a cost of $1449.49. I asked if the warranty covered any of this cost and Kyle told me they did not submit the warrant that I would have to request it because they have done the work and the check would be sent to me. I called the warrant company and was given the necessary information to process the claim. Called and spoke with Kyle and requested the factory part warranty, Patricia RV repair warrant and the labor cost. Had to call them (3) times before he said he would submit the information. I did receive a check for the part but why did I have to go through the problem when they could have mailed it the first time?I would not take our RV back to them for any work nor refer any of our RV members to their shop.

First, we took our RV in for several issues. 1. The passenger slide would open by itself. 2. The diver slide was closing to tightly. 3. The wide shield washer motor was not working properly. 4. The radio/CD player would not reject the CD. 5. The awning was not working properly. And a few other small things to include an oil change. They checked it over and found a major hydraulic issue. We have insurance and they had to deal with the insurance company. Kyle, told us what the insurance would and would not cover. We asked about the radio, Kyle said they would not cover it. We called the insurance company, they said no one had put in for it. We called Kyle and told him. He said he would put in for it. We checked the following week. He still had not put in for it. By the time he did, it would no longer go under our first claim. Kyle said they would take care of it. They finally told us they would not cover it unless we paid the extra deductible, even though it was their failure to put in the claim. Then, they were unable to fix the awning, unless we paid additional, deductible. Our insurance said that was wrong. They wanted the check from the insurance released so, they wanted to state it was fixed and then start a new claim which would cost us $250. So, we pick it up and the stairs are not working anymore, there is one storage door panel with a dent and scratch in it and now all three slides come in to far. They wanted our balance due and promised to fix the radio, stairs and awning at no additional charge. But that never has happened. Now they want to charge us for all of it!!! The owner told us today, they did us a favor fixing the three slides coming into far without charging us for it!!! What! Only one came into far to start with and they were supposed to fix that one. Instead, they made all of them do the same thing, but did us a favor fixing the two that did not need to be fixed and finally fixing the one we already paid for!! DO NOT TRUST A WORD THAT PATRICK SAYS!! We have pictures of our RV parked on their lot, owner stated he parked it there, with the stairs impeded by a large post! That is what burned up the stair motor!!! Never will I do business or send business their way!!!
