FIVE stars at Mavis!Ive purchased 3 tires for two different vehicles at this location. Started as NTB and now called Mavis. This team is experienced and professional. I prefer this business over the dealership for my tire needs. They are able to do what others cannot because they have skilled technicians/mechanics here.Ive purchased flat tire repair services and new tires with no issues. Prices are competitive and reasonable.They also fixed my rotors and other very important needs for one of my older vehicles with high mileage. I trust them with my newest 2020 model as well. Go here. Set an appointment and be patient because its worth it.

I needed tires and I came to this place. Found out I desperately needed brakes and rotors. On top of an alignment. Jaime the asm was very helpful with everything I needed and explained why I needed everything done. The store manager Jamal was very nice to give me updates on my car. He took me to the back to showed me how bad were my brakes and rotors. Thank you guys! I will come back and definitely recommend this place!

Made an appointment for a new set of 4 tires a week ago. This was going to be my only chance to get them done before my road trip. Received two emails confirming my appointment. Showed up at my designated time, and was told they had no one there today to install tires… at a tire shop. Guy working the counter did not give AF, just said: “hey man, nothing I can do about who comes into work and who doesn’t.” Went to Pep Boys down the street.

Awesome customer service. This is the ONLY place that I take my car to. And the only place I’ve ever taken any of my cars. All the mechanics work very efficiently and do a great job. I trust everyone here with my car. Jamal, the manger presents outstanding customer service and takes care of customers immediately. Carrington is always working hard while also presenting his time to the customers. Awesome work here. Great prices.

When it comes to brakes you definitely want quality service. You cant mess around when it comes to your safety, and more importantly - the safety of your loved ones. Jamal is awesome! I will never trust anyone else with my brakes.

My mom had a horrible experience with Jamal. He raised his voice at her and kept accusing her of doing something to her car just so he wouldnt have to validate her warranty. Just kept insisting she was lying and trying to get her to tell the truth about what she did to the car. Made her feel like a child being scolded by a parent. And in front of everyone there! She cried when she got home. Very rude and unprofessional. My mom didnt do anything to the car. She was just trying to get what was wrong fixed, even though she just got that fixed there last December with a 1 year warranty. He made her repay for that service even though it still is under the 1 year warranty. Will never go back there again or recommend anyone to go here. Will be contacting upper management as well about this situation.

My daughter’s tire had a slow leak so we took her car in and they repaired it quickly. Jamal was very professional. Excellent customer service and reasonable price. I highly recommend.

I was very pleased with the service I received at Mavis. The team was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I couldnt believe the price I received; they beat my previous favorite location by almost $85 per tire. This is my new favorite place for tires and brakes.

Great customer service!!! Carrington and James are great and very professional. And the guys in back were fast and respectful. They were very smart and informed me of what was wrong with my tires. I’m glad they were willing to take me in the shop area and actually show me what was wrong. Most car shops wouldn’t do that. I’ll be back for my other car repairs.

This is my second time visiting Mavis Tires and brakes. My experience here has been not short of amazing. The customer service is exceptional and prices are good. Visit them to change your tires.

They are very thorough in there inspections finding all the things I knew were wrong and a couple I didnt know about. Anyway they passed the test I gave them with a borrowed car. So Id recommend them if you want your car in its best and safest condition.

Extremely unprofessional and manhandles (!!!) upset customers by throwing them out. Corporate recognized that they should fix the problem when they messed up our tire job, yet the manager refused to fix it. Plus the wait is ridiculous, as they do not know how to efficiently process customers. Overall, it was a disaster of an experience. Do NOT go here. Hold out until the union workers get their fair pay at the dealers. You have been warned!!!

The service was great and the prices correct. The store manages, Jamal worked with me to find the best deal on my 4 tires, and I even got a 150 dollars rebate on my tires. The whole staff gave great service and were very professional and courteous.

Got 4 tires mounted on wheels here. Other than mounting them, scratchin the inside barrel with something creating deep scratch marks and on the front lip and inside barrel, they didnt clean the back of the wheel to properly stick the weights. Last time they get my service and recommendations. Also somehow took 4 and a half hours to mount and balance 4 wheels.Edit: The mavis team and Jamal were able to sort out the inconvenience. They were fast to act and admit the wrongs. Gave no hassle for a correction for my situation. Real people who are able to work with you and talk with you about things you need.

Shopping for tires is a complete nightmare but Mavis makes it super simple. Employees are customer oriented.

Professionalism in dealing with customers, wanted to get the car aligned and most of the places said they cannot do it unless I leave the car with them and come back at the end of the day, I talked with Jamal and explained to him that I have to have it done today since Im traveling next day, I went to a near by restaurant till they can start on my car, they called as soon as they were ready and did the alignment

Very poor customer service here. We were not provided with the product promised. Went there for a battery. An issue that the mechanic could not identify was discovered. When taken to another mechanic they had to replace the new battery that had been installed at Mavis. Will NEVER go here again not even for tires and brakes which is their specialty!

So unprofessional! Avoid unless you have all day to deal with them.I ordered tires from them they said they would get there the following day around 12 and they’d call. Didn’t hear from them, decided to wait, I called them at 2 and no tires yet. Called again at 4 and no tires yet. They said rudely they’d call me when they got there. Next day, they open at 8 so I waited for a call. 11 am no call. I called and wow the tires have been there since yesterday evening ....whatever, dropped my car off at 11:30 said it’d be ready in 2 hours. Waited for a call at 2 ish. Nothing. Called them at 2:40 no answer, 10 min later no answer, 5 min later they answer and it’s still not ready... bro. I said how much longer they say it’s next so 40 min...imagine if I had a trip or work the next day or an emergency... so unprofessional. Avoid.

Absolutely the worst shop ever! Jamal (Black Male) is the worst he lied on my brother and my mother and tried to take advantage of them. We took my moms car here for brakes and they broke her Sway bar now I ask you why are they even touching the sway bar for barke job!? They then told us she needs new brakes and bar for $1100 and also said she that they didnt brake it. I forgot to mention we just got her all new brakes rotors and pads in May and here we are today July 15 and they said she needs everything replaced! Dont not go to this place they will brake something on you car and deny it and try to charge you for it!

I knew they needed to be replaced they didnt try to hard sell me. They gave me the options of what could be done and let me decide. Its refreshing to go to a shop and pay what you were quoted and not be pressed to fix everything. Mavis will definitely be the first shop I call when I need service.

I highly recommend this location! I recently took my vehicle to get serviced. As I walked in, the manager Joel, greeted me and said they would be right with me. There were a couple of customers ahead of me, as someone who works in customer service, the acknowledgment the moment you walk in to a business was the best! Most locations or any type of business, they lack that interaction with customers. Once it was my turn, Joel had asked what brought me in, with no appointment, he arranged for me to get serviced. As the techs/mechanics were working on my vehicle, Joel would provide me updates to where they were at, the findings and how much time was left to complete the job. Even waiting for a bit, that update was helpful and did not leave me wondering whether my vehicle was started or what not. My overall experience was great, polite, knowledgeable staff, kept in the loop and the prices are great! I will definitely be going there for all my vehicle needs and will definitely be referring friends/family! Thank you Joel and staff for great customer and mechanical services!

Jamal(Store manager) is one the biggest crookes in the automotive industry who takes advantage of unknowing customers .Not only is he very unprofessional but also marking up prices over 5 times what they cost.My mom went there and was charged $4000 dollars for under $2000 in work (had a dealership and 2 independent shops verify this by a second opinion and quote ).Not only that but Jamal charged for parts that were not even changed .When he was confronted on his shady borderline criminal actions he became very belligerent and rude !! Escalated to corporate (bill Gallagher) who I was assured would return the call that day and he took a week to just call back !!with no solution to these obvious issues!! DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY !!!Update !!!!Called the number that was requested to call off of the Mavis response and it got nothing resolved ! Mavis has decided to screw another consumer yet again.Submitted 3 quotes from a dealership and 2 independent shops that all were at least a 35% lower then Mavis to my credit card company along with a written summary of the whole situation and I will be receiving my money back from the credit card company !!! So please don’t go to Mavis and get unprofessional service and price gouging mark ups on parts .They are scammers !!!!

This is the first auto shop I’ve visit where the staff are friendly and attentive to their customers needs. I came in 30 minutes before closing and most staff at other places would of turn you away so they can close for the day. Jamal took care of me and the other staff member with the short braids was just as friendly. I recommend this shop any day and time.

Brought my car in for tires and wheel alignment and left with 3 NEW issues that did not exist before I came to this shop. Management (David Washington) refused to address any of these issues or give me a refund for the shoddy work. The mechanic that worked on my car could not even perform a simple wheel alignment. II DO NOT recommend this shop to anyone. Poor customer service and no resolution.

In my opinion this place is total chaos unorganized and unprofessional picture they have up on Google maps does not look like the place you go to I bring a tire in to get it fixed I already took it off at a car and gave it to them because they say the weight is very long they tell me that they will call me in a few hours I bring the car in and they will put it on. Never heard from him so I went back up there to check my tire was ready but they did not have time to put on Will not come here again

I came in to the shop for warranty work on a tire. While the shop has had some issues in the past with service and and consistency one of the manager (Jamal) was more than helpful. He was able to get an appointment scheduled for me and then took personal care to make sure all of my questions were answered. He is holding his techs and mechanics accountable while maintaining both the front and back of the shop. Customers are getting in and out in a timely fashion and although you can’t please everyone all of the time, his efforts are not going unnoticed. He is knowledgeable and polite and I wound not only come back myself but recommend the same to my friends and family.

I’m a girly girl, I have no car experience at all! My car made a loud screeching noise when I pushed down on my brakes! A guy named Carringten was very helpful! Turned out to be bad brakes!! Highly recommend!!

Just called this location to inquire about a set of new tires, the first employee I spoke with was kind and accommodating....when I called back to schedule my appointment and purchase the tires, I spoke with an employee, who I believe was named Steve. This employee was short with me and rude. I refuse to spend my money here now. I will be trying the Countryside location due to their lack of customer service skills.

They were slow. They made people wait hours just to change their Tire. Literally hours. I went there having brake issues and they suggested things totally unrelated and totally unnecessary. On top of that they said they wanted a hold my vehicle another day when I specifically called there and asked if they can get the job done today. Take from this what you will.

Jamal tries his best! However, I spent a total of 3 1/2hrs in there Saturday 1/2/21 and then 2hrs on Sunday 1/3/21. They said they fixed my tire on Saturday and it was flat on Sunday. Now they found a gash on the side of the tire. They didnt see that on Saturday???

My girlfriend Liz was just at the Oak Lawn a short while ago and she had the best service from Jamal and the team. They assisted her in a very timely manner. I recommend this location for all of your tire needs.

The customer service was great! I arrived for a new tire and the manager took out the time to stop what he was doing to obtain my tire number. The price was reasonable for Goodyear tire as well. There is a waiting room with vending machine and tv to chill while waiting for car. The place was not crowded at all. Kid friendly place. Please try this spot out!

Had a 3pm appointment. Show up and get told they couldnt do it today, the system went down and now they are backed up. Im not sure what system both affects your ability to work on cars putting you behind, AND your ability to call a customer and reschedule before I showed up... but I wont be back. Never heard of Mavis, not sure if its just this location... but when it was NTB service was good.
