I just moved to Oak Creek and Im always so intimated walking into auto repair shops but this was such a welcoming place! I called with a last minute flat tire and they were able to fix in less than 15 mins. Price is reasonable as well! Definitely coming back! Thanks Bob!

I went in to get my emissions test and they did an amazing job. I say this because most places who test emissions arent open as late as Oak Creek Automotive is. Its helpful for people who work first shift and dont want to necessarily take off early to get the test. There was a little bit of a line but the guy testing popped thru the people at about 5 minutes a piece. Thats getting your car, testing it and occasionally answering coworkers questions. So 5 stars, 2 thumbs up and whatever compliments I can give.

Went there for an emissions test. Small and filthy building with no parking to wait for an emissions test. Owner was very rude and offered no instruction. He threw a fit when I was waiting in front of the door not knowing what to do in his tiny lot. A true professional would have kindly instructed me where to go rather than throwing a dramatic temper tantrum. Also the lady performing the test did not wear a mask or sanitize her hands between customers. At least she was nice and polite. I wouldn’t ever go to this place for any reason and will not recommend this business to anyone.

I arrived and there were no signs on where to wait or what to do, so I waited in my car while another car was being serviced. After that car drove away, I continued to wait. After about 20 mins I went inside to ask if I was supposed to check in or put my name down on a list or something. The receptionist rudely told me “wait outside.” So I waited another 15 minutes. It didn’t seem like any other cars were being worked on. Then another car arrived and they serviced that car first. I have no problem with waiting for a service, but the fact that there were no signs on where to wait, the rude receptionist giving me no information on what was going are signs that this establishment is extremely unorganized. The cherry on top was that almost none of the employees were wearing a masks, and the ones that were were wearing them incorrectly below their nose. Don’t waste your time.

Just want to say, if you own a 2011 F150 3.5L Ecoboost and its giving you a cold start rattle noise, I highly recommend go to Oak Creek Automotive team to get it fixed ASAP. They definitely know how to do the whole timing chain job correctly.

They seem to be the only place that is willing to do emission testing these days! I had to wait in line to get my test done, but they were moving very quickly. The great thing is when I pass my test I was able to pay my renewal fee and get my sticker and leave. I would definitely give them a try!

Not being native to WI, I had no clue where to go for an emissions check. Google brought up their shop. I stopped in, waited a little bit, then they took care of everything! The employee was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

They offer emissions testing for more hours and days than others. I knocked on the office door and was greeted by two men, who working and took a second to acknowledge my presence. One man kindly guided me to pull in, quickly did the test, offered to complete registration there and backed my car out safely.

I went for front brakes and a serpentine belt. What I got was a pleasant surprise. Bobby and his crew are good, too good. In a time when businesses are losing money and shutting down, they are thriving and I know why. Like I said, I went in for brakes and a serpentine belt, the honest mechanics (Dan and David) could have just changed the brakes and charged me, but they didnt they checked them out and said they were fine, changed the belt and gave me an oil change. Im forever grateful to the staff, and I even enjoyed the conversation and company of the other customers ☺️. Great place, great people, and great, professional, friendly atmosphere. I walked in to try to get my car’s emissions tested and the woman doing the testing was entering cars and driving them without a mask on. I saw that several of the employees were maskless. I will not be using them for anything.

Had to get an emissions test for my daughters car. There were 3 people ahead of me just took my place in line and was probably back on the road in 20 minutes. Thanks to Oak Creek Automotive its getting harder and harder to find a place that does the emissions testing. Thumbs up to them

I’ve been going here for years, and for the most part I’ve had relatively decent service. However, today my mother went in for 4 “new” tires and when she came back, even though the tires are new, they look like they’ve been sitting in the sun for years.You would think after spending $600 on new tires that they would at least make you feel good about your purchase or the tires would look like they are new. I’ve bought new tires before and they should look black, not a dull gray color.When I called to bring up the situation, I was told I can take my car somewhere else to polish them.I’d give a one star had I not have had Oak Creek Automotive help me out with car problems in the past, but after this incident, I’ll be taking my “new” tires and my business elsewhere.

I went to Oak Creek Automotive in order to have the MANDATORY Milwaukee County emissions test done earlier this week. After waiting for 30 minutes in the 90 degree heat an UNMASKED worker asked for my keys. I politely told her that I preferred to move my car in and out of the garage myself. I was told I could not do that. I then asked if she could wear a mask since she was the one that had to move my vehicle. Again I was told no. This business has an UNMASKED worker going in and out of countless cars each day potentially spreading the virus and people wonder why MKEs COVID numbers are so high? Im extremely disappointed in this businesss practices. Get your auto-work and emissions testing somewhere else. *Im not just some nut thats afraid to get COVID. I happen to be an RN and could just as easily spread the virus to that worker and whoever elses car she enters because she entered my vehicle unprotected

I took my truck in October 2020. They kept my truck for 3 weeks. They never followed up with me. I had to keep calling the shop with no resolve. Finally, I picked it up and was charged $920.00 it still didnt run right. The spark plug coil wasnt bolted down. I had to take it back and was charged an additional $150.00. At the end if it all I paid $1,145.00 and my truck is still not running good. I had to take it to another auto shop. I do not recommend this place. Save your money and go elsewhere.

I have been going to Oak Creek Automotive for 20+ years. To say they are a mechanics mechanic is in understatement. I am a shade tree mechanic and normally service my own vehicles. However, there are some things I need done that I dont have time or the equipment for. The also service all my work trucks. Never once have they let me down. And they stand by their work. I had a seal replaced in the rear axle of a work van and started to leak again. They fixed it, no charge. Ive even thrown them some curve balls. Took a truck in that had a wobble and we were leaving the next day on vacation. As usual, they hit it out of the park. 4 new tires, rear shocks, rear brakes, and a front end alignment. We were on the road by 3pm the next day! They are fair and they are honest. I dont what more you could want out of a mechanic. And if your reading reviews, take the older negative ones with a grain of salt. I was just there today and there are a lot of new faces.

This is our new favorite automotive place to go for oil changes, rotations, everything we need for a 13-yr old car and a brand new jeep. I called on Monday around 4:45pm regarding an emissions test on a recommendation from a friend. I was told they perform these services until 6 pm by the woman that answered the phone. I informed her I would try to be there by 5:30 as I work until 5 making getting testing done difficult. I walked in and a service tech asked Whadda want? Based on the fact he was talking with a woman in the bay, I was unaware he was speaking to me. He pointed me through the unmarked office door where 2 gentlemen and a woman were seated. One of the gentlemen was on the phone and the other lounged back in his chair. The woman had her back to me. The man on the phone looked at me and said Yeah? again, I couldnt tell if he was speaking to me, or the person on the phone. The other gentleman looked up and asked if I wanted emissions. The woman spun around and told me the machine was down!! 45 minutes earlier when I called, there wasnt a problem! Coincidence? Poor customer service skills by everyone I encountered, and if the machine was in fact down, why wasnt I informed when I called!

Relatively quick emissions testing, and professional. Wait time is approx 10 min per test. For those curious about covid precautions here, none of the employees were wearing PPE, including the person driving the cars in and out doing the emissions testing.

There were three people in line ahead of me, but Denise was efficient and friendly, and got us in and out in no time flat! For a small fee, you can also get your registration and sticker immediately! Beats the heck out of the DMV anyday...

Meh! They failed our emissions test and then couldnt issue a temp tag because of a computer glitch or it was too close to quitting time...not sure which.

I had a great experience. I called on a referral and can see why my regular mechanic would recommend this shop when hes backed up with work. They were able to get a mechanic to test drive and diagnose my issue quickly despite being backed up and took care of what turned out to be a minor issue while I waited. When a shop executes on the little things, explains their work in plain English, and goes out of their way to help a customer, I feel good about working with them, and I trust my regular mechanics word on the quality of their work.

Went in for an emissions test; was in and out within 10 minutes of arriving. Every employee was very hospitable and friendly.

I was heading from Chicago to Green Lake Wisconsin when my radiator hose broke. I was heading to go DJ a wedding and needed to get there. With not much time to drive around, before the engine would over heat and be undriveable, I was able to make it over to Oak Creek Automotive. Beforehand google led me to a mechanic shop that did not exist! I was lucky to make it to Oak Creek but only to find they are closed on the weekends. However Art just so happened to be working on cars and I was able to at least arrange for my car to be fixed by Monday. He realized I wasnt from around there and I needed to get home to my family before Monday. He came in on his off day to fix my car on Sunday and was able to pick it up on my way from Green Lake back to Chicago. I couldnt of been more grateful, being in a vulnerable spot I could of easily been taking advantage of cost wise to get the repairs but the price was more than fair. It was a long weekend but Oak Creek saved me from traveling back and forth to get my car. Thank you so much!!

When I lived in the area between 2009 and 2016, this is where I took all of my vehicles. I found them always to be honest and willing to discuss options, not just everything needs to be done right now or nothing kind of attitude that Ive experienced before. I was sad to have moved out of the area and to have to look for a new shop much closer to home. Thank you for years of great service on my Jeeps, Dodge Ram, and Mustang!

Had to have my alternator replaced while on a trip - the folks here were quick, accommodating and friendly. They diagnosed the issue within minutes of my arrival, and had a new alternator in the vehicle within just an hour or so. Very impressed.

Avoid if you value your safety!I had a nail in my tire, it was deemed unrepairable by another tire store (national store) stating too close to the rim, unsafe to repair. The tire was punctured in such a way that it was holding air and since the tire was under warranty for road hazard, I took it back to Oak Creek Auto.Long story short, the man at the desk tried to send me on the road by patching the tire. He yelled, swore at me, when I said I dont feel safe taking that tire on the road, that he is not following DOT standards for tire repairs. Finally, he was agreeable to talking to the tire company, and replaced my tire using the warranty, me paying a prorated amount.I think many of us assume that various mechanics will rip us off--like car dealer ships, we just accept it. BUT, there is an inherent trust that they will do what is necessary to keep us safe on the roads. Today was a lesson that that isnt true. I walked away with a few conclusions from my interaction with desk guy:1. He values dollars and cents more so than customer safety.2. Very unprofessional. As a customer, I have NEVER been yelled at or cussed at by anyone who is supposed to be offering me a service. At one point, he shooed me away with his arms and stormed off. As a human being, I would never treat someone this way. To speak with so much anger and contempt towards me was unnecessary. I wonder if he would have done the job correctly the first time had I been a man. A simple apology would have been more than enough for me.3. I will never return to Oak Creek Auto. My and my familys safety comes first. Please consider going elsewhere to ensure youll be driving safely on the road.

Ive been getting my oil changed here for the past two years. Very reliable and affordable as well. Their service is good, the guys are all friendly and work quick. I never have to wait too long to get it done.

I call to get an estimate to get a door handle replaced and the woman I talked to said she didnt think it would take more than an hour at a maximum, not minimum, maximum, at a rate of $100.00. When my wife went for the repair and it took 10 minutes she was charged $100.05. When I called back to question the charge the first thing I said, to the same lady that quoted me, was that she told me an hour of service was a $100.00 and it only took 10 minutes. She immediately disagreed with me and said she never said an hour and then said hold on and put me on hold. When she got back on the phone she said they charged me $56 to which I responded no, my wife told me you charged her $100.05. then she said the part was $34.00, which I get. But that means I paid $34.00 for the part, $10.05 in tax, and $56.00 for 10 minutes of labor! When inquired further, she told me you pay the book time not the actual time and if it takes less time they just make more. I could not believe she actually had the gall to say that. So I suppose the lesson here is if you want to get ripped off by a greedy company that doesnt give you all the information up front but is happy to explain it to you once youve already been over charged, go to Oak Creek Automotive. They will take great care of you and their cash register. Dont forget to ask them about their booked pricing scale.

Weve used this shop a couple of times: for a serious rear-end repair and a minor mirror issue. Both times the team was fair, quick, easy to work with and we dealt with great people. No matter how far or close you live to this place, you should seriously this place for your go-to auto body shop.
