I just rented a storage unit today and Kevin was great. Very thorough about explaining the contract and how keypad entry works. Same with the lock and opening the door to the unit. Very nice man and great sense of humor.

Kevin has amazing customer services. He was friendly and very patience. Kevin deserve a raise with the great customer service he provided. I will recommend this Storage facility to my family and friends.

It’s been a challenging finding storage units but I was able to get one a Mini-U storage. I met with Ken who was so professional explaining everything I needed to know and answering all my questions and very friendly and polite. I’d you need storage go to Mini-U storage in Novi and ask for Ken.

Tim, who drove an hour to work at the Novi location today, did an amazing job. He explained everything thoroughly and understood our moving woes. Having such a secure storage unit was a relief. And the AAA discount was so worth it all. Thank you, Tim!

Hands down amazing! They were so helpful and nice. I needed two units on really short day of notice and they were able to accommodate plus let us use their moving truck for free!! And they gave me free kicks!! Good place nice people!!

I do business here, the on site Management team and supportive staff is very professional. Clean environment. Over all company is compassionate. They work with me when it comes to unaffordable rate increases, which means a Great deal because Im on a fix income. I have only one suggestion to reinstall another door to the office, for security reasons, its like a trapped environment with only one way out.

Great and easy setup, very helpful individuals to work with and answered all my questions regarding my situation . It was a great deal as well for me and definitely would recommend to check It out if in need of a storage unit. The shelving that was available in the unit was very nice to have and made it easier.

Both manages are very nice people. The property is also clean. Good rates and not bad for the storage space.

Been there with 3 units for 2 years. Paid accounts on time until recent, several life events have created some creative financial juggling. Late fees for one storage unit are disturbing. $26+. I talked with the manager, of course, nothing they can really do, they try I believe. I only asked for a little relief to return my units to the veterans discount I should be receiving (and was) supposed to have for all 3 units. They assisted and got it updated (except all of but 1 unit). But corporate in their infinite wisdom keeps returning to the old rate. This is just ridiculous how this continues to go on and on and on and on. No customer care, poor website management and poor record keeping (at best). New employees who are not supervised and have no knowledge of business procedures and policies before being allowed to work on their own. So, I now have 2 units at one price and one more at another price, although at one time they were priced the same. Ultimately this is a corporate business true and through, and customers only matter for that first visit. I would avoid this place like the plague if you can, there are so many more storage facilities around that have it together, I have genuinely followed up and only wish I could move. Too much logistics in that for now. I was there for only a few short months and they had already raised my units $23 for two, the other came later. I will be however working to consolidate and then close and/or move to a more common sense storage community. Note, l frequently find nails, glass and shrapnel in front of the units at almost every visit. Suggest you check your area and your tires. Simply, all I am saying is please do the research, ask the tough questions to avoid the eventual stress to come. Its a business, and some businesses treat people with dignity, respect and common sense too. Not with Mini-U. The management staff move on too frequently from this place. I believe those currently in place have tried, but in the end, with corporate screwing it all up, it all comes up short for customer service. Mini-U is a slug of a company and should be ashamed of the way they do their business. It is only my opinion on this post, however I cannot stand this company for the way they have treated me, and I only have myself to blame and I need to correct it. And I will. Rating: 0.

I had a great experience with Mini U Storage. Amber went out of her way to help me. I was helping a friend who had moved out of town to move, and she spent more than forty minutes helping me get everything worked out and solving problems. I really appreciate her efforts on my behalf.

Very helpful and friendly staff at the front desk and was a prompt and quick service.

Easy set up and cheaper pricing. Just having an issue with the lock on my storage, it wont slide over and line up to put my pad lock threw it. Tryed calling to see if there was after hour maintenance and there is not.

Called Penske truck rental and they reserved a truck for me with a liftgate. I went there to get and no one was there. Had to scramble and Penske found me a truck in Plymouth. The woman from Mini U called me back and said she did not have a reservation. If that was the case, how did Penske transfer the rental to Plymouth and why did the Penske rep apologize repeatedly. Lying just makes matters worse!

Grouchy staff makes it quite difficult to even go through rental paperwork to begin with. Buy all packing material and locks elsewhere as overpriced here in office. Staff makes you out to be a hindrance as you ask any assistance. No recommendation from me.

Its a storage place, Holds my stuff, getting very expensive. They just raised their rates $20.00 mo.

Only thing that I dont like is that the gate closes at 9pm

Little place that also rents out trucks for moving etc, only one employee, so be prepared to wit a bit
