Had an awesome time finding the newest addition to our family! When adopting our new baby shiba inu we were given thorough instructions on how to take care of our new pup and told what to do when he gets to his new home. The staff was polite. I totally am disappointed in the service that we got. After purchasing the puppy... the next day my son and I noticed that we were allergic to him. After not having him for even 24 hours they still took 35% of the puppy’s price which was over $2000 and they would not help in the situation. Unfortunately we will never recommend this place they should have a 24 to 48 hour return policy whether the dog is financed or not with no harm or money taken. They basically scammed me, Took all the puppy products back and the puppy and still charge me over $2000 just because I had to return him back due to our allergies and asthma attacks. When I called the claims department they said there’s nothing they can do to help. What a total loss. Not to mention aside from that The dog was so sick he was coughing so much and had so much diarrhea. Overnight the crate was full with diarrhea when we woke up to let him out! All this and we had him less than 24 hours !! They better get him some medical attention. He wouldn’t eat and seemed so sick with all the symptoms he was having. Do not purchase any dog from them! & in response to your reply, you totally ignored the fact that the dog was so sick 🤒 !!! He was covered in diarrhea the next morning and would not move around the entire time we had him! It was less then 24 hours regardless of documents !!! You should have done something to accommodate us instead of charging us over $2000 for absolutely no reason!!!!!!!!!!

Unpleasant experience here today. Came in and waited politely for over 10 mins with no greeting or anyone to ask what my family or I needed while they looked past us several times. When we approached them and finally got some help, they acted as if we were a bother to them. The dog we loved on also attacked us and was aggressive like no dog I’ve seen before. Even with us calling for help several times we were ignored, until about the 7th time. The female manager was inches away at the next cubby over and witnessing this the entire time, ignoring us as we asked her to take the dog away because she was too busy making a sale. She finally picks up the dog, says nothing to us, and continues to speak to the customer about their purchase. No apology or anything! Maybe this manager (wish I had gotten her name) and/or the employees have a specific type of colored skin they prefer. They have zero professionalism here and it sounds like a lot of dogs here are sold with illnesses. I would not recommend purchasing a dog from here. I know I’m not. Looking elsewhere and will not be back again!

Theyre extremely overpriced. I checked the price on a dog a good breeder would sell for $500. They wanted $6000 for a $500 dog. Dont waste your money, and find a breeder. The animal is probably better taken care of, too.

My partner and I had an unpleasant experience with an employee at the this location today. We currently reside in Chicago, IL but were in the area visiting family and friends. We decided to stop into this location because my partner is actively looking for a French Bulldog. I also recommended this location because I purchased my miniature pinscher from there just 4 years ago (the service was superb at the time). I understand businesses are dealing with some challenging times, but my partner and I walked in completely masked and willing to take any precautions necessary to protect the pups and the employees. We walked into the store unaware of the current inventory and not expecting to lock on our eyes on a beautiful brindle female French Bulldog. My partner was awe. As I mentioned, we have been looking around, so we are aware of pricing when it comes to these dogs, at this point, we are just looking for a pup just as interested in us as we are of them. When inquiring about this dog, we were met with some hesitation from the employee because in his exact words, if you are not interested in buying the dog, he did not want to take the dog out if we were just there to play with it. He also goes on to explain after we both showed confusion that he was only trying to protect the dog and continued to make the same statement regarding whether or not we were serious with moving forward in purchasing the french bulldog in which we wanted to have a closer look/and experience with. We understood considering the major impact of COVID-19, but we did not understand why he chose to speak to us in this manner. There were multiple families in there inquiring about different breed of dogs and maybe we just interacted with the wrong employee. My partner and I both look young for our age but are both working professionals. I will not get caught into the idea that it was our appearance that influenced his reaction, but I would like to provide recommendations. I would like to propose that this location (maybe all locations) provide interested customers with the proper PPE (i.e. gloves etc.) to protect the health of the pups. I would also recommend wiping down a pup following any interaction with a customer if this is not done already. I walked out disappointed and not expecting this type of interaction. We have decided to take a different route in our pursuit of our new addition to our family.

Petlands ads frequently show up on my Facebook page.Id commented with the screenshot of the OFA testing of the sire of one of the puppies and commented that the dam did not have any health testing completed in OFAs data base. Id said nothing negative- just provided information that any responsible dog purchasers should know. My comment was deleted and I was blocked from commenting. If this doesnt speak for the integrity of the breeding of their animals I dont know what does.Do yourself a favor and research the testing your breed should have and purchase from a reputable breeder. You can find the testing recommended for each breed on the AKC webpage and the OFA webpage has a database of testing completed. Dont waste your money on petland puppies.

This place is fantastic. Have a friend that got his fur baby from here in the past so I came to check it out. Going home with a beautiful German Shepherd today! The staff is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! We didn’t know what we wanted, they found us the PERFECT dog for our family and helped us the whole time. They were very honest, helpful and thoughtful since we asked SO MANY questions. We came home with the BEST dog and they were so much more helpful and the price was so much better than a breeder we were looking at.

Gage was so helpful during this entire process. He was very patient with us with asking questions, and always had a helpful tip with whatever we had questions with. No only was everyone in the store helpful, everyone was so kind and welcoming! The process was so easy to get our new puppy, and everything that was included with the purchase made the puppy process so much less stressful. I cannot express enough how thankful and satisfied I am with our experience here. I will DEFINITELY be coming back for future purchases & will be recommending them to everyone!!!

Clean shop, well versed employees and really cute puppies. Thing is, there prices are astronomical. Even considering everything they give you and the special perks, they still mark up the price of the dogs by more than 50% than what a licensed breeder would cost. If youve got the money to dish out its a great place to check out several breeds at once. But if you know what youre looking for youre best off going to a breeder because it will save you a few THOUSAND dollars. And as long as you find a reputable breeder, the dog will be of the same quality, promise.

Cages could have been cleaned more frequently but dogs do go often. I always find the caged puppies so sad. I hope they all find homes quickly.
