If you are thinking of booking a party here, just do it! The absolute best party experience I have ever had. I’ll get the names of my party hosts and post them later.I have never been able to enjoy a party my kids had because I was always doing everything. This was such a good experience. They helped with every party of set up, even including help me with last minute decor. They broke down all of the decorations and did ALL the clean up.They were nice, friendly, accommodating and made sure that everything was perfect from start to finish.

I love this gym because of the great staff. My personal trainer, Jessica Jordan, met me where I was in 2018 and has guided me through a 45 pound weight loss journey. She always knows just what to do or say to encourage her clients, especially when we hit road blocks or feel unmotivated. She is the best!!

Nice and clean facility an friendly and professional staff. I wish the lap pool has more lanes. More than half of them are used for kids swimming school very often and others get to us only two lanes. Also, hot tubs becomes out of service very often.

I signed up for 24/7 not closed at 10:00 pm and the worse Hot tub, pool and steam room close an hour early. We pay the highest $$$ to go this gymBecause all the good things there but it changedThey were want to close the gym by midnight bf the COVID-19 and some of the was closing midnight the only once left Troy and novi and they already put notice those gym will be closing midnight on one Month but the COVID-19 cameAnd guess what? They got what they were looking for closing 10:00 pm and it will be PermanentIt say 12:00 am midnight but most of inside the gym shut down 10:00 pm shower and go home.

I love this gym!!! But.. Taking away 6:30pm classes?! That’s bs! Sorry, not everyone can come during work hours. Paying $100+ a month.. for what? Highly disappointed ☹️

Went to go get a 30 min workout because online it says it closes at 11 and the lady in the front turns me away at 10:33.$150 a month for my family. Spend half that and get better accommodations at another gym

Great fitness club with many many nice features and perks like daycare, swimming pool indoor and outdoors, Expensive monthly dues but you get a lot of great amenities that other clubs dont offer

First time at this location. Was a bit shocked at how dirty the locker room floor was. Several showers also needed the body wash replaced. Weights and cable grips/handles were scattered everywhere on the gym level. Seems like they need to have the employees ramp up the frequency of cleaning rounds.My home location is a diamond gym, so I knew the services might be different. However, I didnt expect it to be quite so different...

My first time there was easier than I thought. No funny looks from anyone. And nobody rushing me off the equipment. Also, the employees were right on top of cleaning.

Everything you’d expect from a Lifetime facility. I am a swimmer and primarily use the 25m, 5 lane lap swim pool. It’s kept at a perfect temperature for training. The locker rooms are always kept clean and the staff is ever professional and courteous.

They are super friendly and it’s clean. Love it

This gym is great and the staff is fantastic and friendly! Jackie at the front desk is super attentive and quick to help me with any questions. Sarah went above and beyond finding my lost company card; when it wasnt found in either of the lost and found spots she searched through every other office in the gym that it could have been turned in to, no matter how unlikely it was that it would be there, until she found it, and she was exceptionally polite the entire time.

I like LF more now since its not so crowded there. Now you can do your routine without staying in the line.. Machines are great but some training equipment you need to buy and take it there ( like ankle straps, leg weight, hand straps but I dont mind that because of hygiene). The gym culture there its so poor that I want to cry sometimes. Its rare case when someone re-rack weight, bars and so on

Horrible customer service and 0 desire to accommodate the needs of customers. Staff only cares to get off work early and does not wish to help customers. $70 a month but feels like it should only be $10 a month.

Probably the best gym ever and something for everyone!Indoor pool,outdoor pool, water slides for the kids and hot tubs and swim lanes for the adults.Kids programs and clubs and steam rooms and spa for the parents,and lots of available classes!

I went to a function there today, Sunday March 20. It looks awesome from outside, till I visited the Men, bathroom, shower lockers. It was disgusting. The floors were muddy, waste baskets full of napkins, and the whole area smells. I am not a member there and I will never be after I visited the place. I dont recommend it to anyone.

We put our membership on hold due to the pandemic. In January received a charge and emailed my contact twice to refund the charge. Just noticed the February charge and called the club. I was told no refund and id be charged for another 30 days. If they were patient and could wait until I am vaccinated I would have gone back but instead I will support local at a small local gym when I am comfortable. I would think a business hurting as bad as this one would do everything to retain clients. Oh well.

Worst Place ever for GYM!! Especially the billing department. They forcefully renewed our account and when we asked to cancel on phone asked us to come to location physically cancel and we did that still ended up paying one months charge.I had to cancel as we dont feel comfortable in going to a physical GYM location given the COVID circumstances. Very disappointing in Life time fitness club....

I feel very comfortable coming back to this gym after 6 months of being closed. They have a temperature screening at the front desk before you go in, everything is spaced out on the fitness floor and masks are mandatory. During my workout I noticed most of the people cleaning the machines/weights after using them. Also, staff members are going around and wiping things down. There is disinfectant spray/wipes located everywhere and hand sanitizer. Courts are still closed, but thats a given. Nonetheless, I am very happy to be back and feel very comfortable.

Great place to work out even during pandemic. Equipment kept very clean, employees consistently making sanitation rounds, and members are very careful about cleaning up their workstations.

They need to work on organizing the weights more often because the majority of members cannot handle putting them back in the correct location

They claim to close at 9 however the employees refused to let us in to play basketball from 6:00pm to 9:00pm on the weekends. Can’t believe I’m paying $70 a month for them to close the basketball gym 3 hours before they close the rest of the building.

Continuously raise prices while removing perks and quality.

The front desk woman (African American) was extremely rude when asked for a day pass. She did not even greet me when I said Hello. She made me feel very uncomfortable, uneasy and queasy. Thank goodness there was a trash bag close by. This is not how Lifetime Novi should treat their consumers. It ruined my day.

Amazing gym!!! Mary freshwater is amazing and so are all of the sales people. They are extremely helpful and kind. The front desk staff are always kind and professional and always check you in swiftly. Cleaning staff are always cheerful and sweet and I can’t tell you the amazing conversations and kind people I have met. The members are always kind and friendly as well!! I had my free first training session with Sam, extremely easy going and knowledgeable. Had me trying some new things I never tried before and kill my arms (which is exactly what I wanted thankfully) I would recommend him greatly and many of the other trainers I have met. I got my hair done at the Salon and Stephanie gave me the exact hair color I have been wanting for two years and I feel beautiful and am glad to have made a new friend. The equipment is amazing there is so much to offer with classes as well Thee wish something for absolutely everybody! I can not recommend this gym enough and I don’t have enough great amazing things to say about it. I not only feel like I found a new gym to call a home but amazing friends as well! MY WIFE CANCELLED OUR MEMBERSHIP DUE TO COVID 19 AND I JUST NOTICED THAT THEY HAVE BEEN CHARGING ME SINCE SEPTEMBER 2020 TO A CREDIT CARD THAT ACTUALLY I NEVER USED FOR MY MONTHLY PAYMENTS!!! Lifeguards are not paying attention. Pool should have been closed immediately! Swam into a big glob of phlegm!!!!!When I canceled my subscription to their membership, they have consistently try to bill me for an additional month. Beware. This place is the absolute worst

I just got a membership here I can’t get in at 9:30 and I spoke to front desk rep and I understand the gym closed at 10 but they wouldn’t let me in at 9:30. They should probably note that on their website. I use to go here all the time but now this place is terrible, I wouldn’t recommend spending more than 70$ here for a membership if they can’t let you in at 9:30. This is insane

As a fitness enthusiast what else do one need. There are basketball courts. A huge gym floor with all the exercising equipment, A separate place for aerobics, Swimming pool for kids and adults along with jacuzzi and steam sauna. There is also a kids center available for your younger ones. Its one fine destination for everyone in the community. Oh did I forget to mention a cafe, ohh yes it is also there .

Amazing place much fun

Top class but you pay top price, overall I liked the gym atmosphere and great staff. Must learn for other gyms. Equipment are top stuff. When you have money go for it. My primary use is the Swimming pool and most of the time they run swim classes during my gym time locking 3 lanes out of 5 on weekdays, so practically you need to share with others in the next two lanes or wait for a chance, this is real raw deal in the Novi one.

Great facility with knowledgeable trainers

Weve been coming here for years during holiday visits from NY. This is one of favorite things about coming back for the holidays!!! It is such a breath of fresh air: Thoughtful staff, great equipment, beautiful people, clean and modern locker room (with locks and eucalyptus steam room!!!). You Detroiters have it good!

Really appreciated Nick DeHetres fantastic efforts when signing us up for membership. Nick is amazing! Hes personable, friendly, and has a genuine passion for the work he does. My husband and I greatly enjoyed meeting him last week and working with him this week to get to know the club more. Highly recommend him!

I had a question about the status of my membership and Paul Singh was so helpful to me! He answered my question not only professionally but gave me the options i needed in an extremely timely manner. He also told me about some classes I should try in order to strengthen my work out regimen. I have been to other Lifetimes in the area, but Novi lifetime hands down has the most friendly and helpful staff.

Cool staff. Very bright facilities. Really clean on the weekends. Fellow members of this particular PF tend to wear outside shoes, so I wouldnt touch the ground.

Huge gym! Great equipments, several classes to choose from, pool is always clean, same with sauna and showers. Cant recommend this place enough. I have been a member since 2009!

Love this facility. Updated the workout equipment. Yoga and workout classes are fun and invigorating! Good instructors. On the expensive side.

In the morning there are often 4 of 5 lanes reserved for swimming classes.And I miss some toys in the functional area.But overall Im really satisfied with this gym, generally really good equipment.

Terrible customer service and shady billing. This place didn’t notify me that my account that was on hold was going to be charged fully because they didn’t take down a proper email when I came in to change my info even though I came in in person and asked repeatedly if all my info had been changed! Been charging me for months and won’t refund me. And I’m seeing lots of yelp reviews on cleanliness issues and bad customer service although I can’t say since I haven’t been there in months.One things for certain is they don’t make it easy to cancel a membership or change it EVEN if you do it in person so make sure you read the fine print before you sign your life away! Be prepared to jump through hoops and provide exact documentation on everything or they can and will keep your money! The account manager Sarah could have cared less and their corporate guy Dustin didn’t either. Even if you do go in person they absolutely can just not record your info properly and keep charging you and they will blame it on you! So beware!

Honestly-- after trying tons of gyms in the area, I adore this place. Belal set me up with a week pass and it took two days before I knew I needed to get a membership. All of the staff are incredibly polite and helpful in my experience so far. As far as personal trainers go-- Nick is the absolute best (hes the only one I know but I really dont care)Id recommend this to gym to literally every single person I know. Monthly membership is steep but the accommodations there are totally worth it.

These people dont provide option to cancel the membership or put in hold through phone support / online, I asked question how can someone place request of cancellation when he is out of town and moved out for emergency reason temporarily, they are not ready to answer. They want me to talk the call center, they are also not really helping, this membership is big TRAP.

Very family friendly gym. I love walking in and seeing all the other families. The Daycare staff and facilities are great! My daughter is always happy to go to the gym :)I use the gym mainly for the Lap Pool and I love it! It is a perfect tempature for a good workout. Hardly never busy...when it is people are very kind to share a lane. :)

Belal is honestly awesome! He hooked up my family with a great deal and encourages everyone to be excited and passionate about fitness! He is friendly and reliable as well. Good job lifetime for hiring him to be at the fore front of your organization!

This place is awesome! The Kids Academy is FANTASTIC for my kids who are a bit older (8 and 6). My kids can go and do yoga, STEAM, hip-hop dance, and rock climbing. The classes are awesome and I LOVE the updated machines and area to use BOSU balls, medicine balls, and battle ropes. The facility is beautiful- clean and the people are kind. I look forward to going and my kids have a great time!

Belal made visiting this gym a wonderful experience. He was congenial and patient with any and all questions I had. He respectfully showcased all special gym offerings and was sure to follow up shortly thereafter. Wonderful time!

Personally I loved having a pool I could swim in whenever I wanted. Its 50 dollars a month for the least expensive plan, but you get what you pay for. When I went to quit, they didnt try to scam me like fitness 19 did. They just had my sign a paper and poof I was done. The pool is great, its even outdoors. They have an amazing basketball court, and the rock climbing wall is to die for. The workout room is good too, they even have classes. The only way for them to improve would be if they could get like an indoor track or something. For 50 dollars a month you get towel service with the awesome warm white towels though. Im just saying, its pretty awesome.

I love Lifetime. My membership was on for awhile and I just reactivated with the Novi center, I was at Troy before. The facility is always clean, the staff always helpful/courteous, and the amenities are outstanding. My kids like the child care area and love the indoor pool - that alone is worth the whole membership. Its definitely expensive compared to other gyms but I think you get more here than with the other gyms so its worth it.

I love lifetime. Such nice workers and very clean. The child center and camp is awesome with my and other people kids. The manager Angie and heather are amazing people and very good and professional. I highly recommend this for other parents and people 👍👍😀

Belal is the guy to go to when it comes to getting a gym membership. He always called me when there were promotions so that I get the best deal and really went out of his way for me. Truly a genuine person.

If you can afford to go to a nice relaxing place thats like a resort instead of a gym, then this is the place for you. The staff are very nice. The only time I hear staff members not being on their best behavior, is when theyre dealing with one of those people. The cafe is amazing. Totally yummy, healthy food! I love this place. Its really like a little getaway while youre there!

Only complaint I gave at the moment is the horrible management of the cafe. I have no idea what happened to old manager, Julie, but I am under the impression that they are once again in a manager-less phase (the rate of leadership turnover is incredible!). I understand they are trying their best and its not that important since its a gym, not a restaurant, but seriously, the cafe should be able to serve food. The last time food was available was a month ago, I have gone 5 times since then and every single time I get the same response: sorry we cant fix food right now, we are understaffed. Come on, guys! You are losing serious money here!

I could have warned all of you, except, I come way before you all did. I had to quit for a while due to some personal problems and ended up being disabled in the end. When I quit them, I had to pay for an extra month for some reason, and so I did, not the type to really argue. I would never recommend it to anyone. It was going down back in 2008 bad, just in the couple years I had been there, there were a lot of complaints, I can just imagine what it is now. Half the time, hair dryers were broke and other supplies were not attainable that were promised in the contract. The day I walked out the door for good, the lady behind the desk who signed my contract final, was so very nasty and offish and rude, that i went into the car and cried. I called back and spoke to a manager over her later, however it seemed to go in one ear and out the other I had many times heard them talking about one member or the other and that is a NO NO no matter where one works. I worked in public for many years and would have been fired for far less. The prices were good when I started, but then when you let the place fun down and dont take care, that price becomes too much. Also, the pool was down and cold in the winter and that was the only thing I used there at all, that is why I joined and it was too cold in the winter and not working or maybe saving money all winter.

Great gym. They basically have it all. Its a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. If youre someone who hits the gym more than once or twice a week, this is the spot for you! I didnt give 5 stars for one reason - the gym is simply overcrowded. It annoys me to see management posting we love to see the gym packed with members trying to be healthy. Wow, were you a politician in a past life? They pack the gym with people in these classes/training session that take up all sorts of space and get in the way of people just trying to do a normal work out. Ive accidentally been bumped into/bumped into people numerous times because theyre all over the place. Its because these people are paying more money for classes. Its a money grab and its infuriating, especially since they schedule them at peak hours (between 5 and 8) and make the gym floor even more crowded. Please fix this and I would consider this a 5 star gym!

Extremely disappointed with my experience at Lifetime. I signed up for membership.and made my appointment with the trainer. I was assured the trainer would be able to create a workout that would fit my physical limitations. Unfortunately I left the training session early and in pain. I emailed to cancel my membership and was pressured to give them a second chance. I agreed to try a different trainer, but was unable to make that appointment. I again asked to cancel my membership and was told I needed to give 30 day notice and that they would not honor the date of my first request. Now I’m out $150. Be warned of the pressure tactics, the subtle deception of when notification occurs and the competence of the trainers.

Extremely clean facility. The kids club staff is awesome! The pool is a great temperature and very clean. I love the yoga classes. All the instructors are super knowledgeable.

Belal harajli welcomed me to lifetime as if I was his own brother and took care of me throughout my entire membership with lifetime fitness. I have recently canceled my subscription due to school coming up and having no time to spare. However once I come back I will definitely recommend him.

One of my favorite locations! Always clean, the weights are always where theyre supposed to be. Great atmosphere and staff, it has everything I need and then some. Went in to get a quote on a gym membership and I’ve had other gym memberships and didn’t like dealing with gym employees but Belal Harajli was very helpful and focused on what I wanted and walked me through the process and gave me the confidence to go to the gym. I highly recommend dealing with him. Great sense of humor as well.

Current member (hopefully that doesnt change).I was billed for a transaction never authorized. (Not a huge deal), but the reason for the poor review is the lack of action on behalf of Life Time Fitness at this location. Transaction was from June and here it is December. After multiple attempts Im still owed the transaction and now I have another this month that was never authorized.Rating is based on the poor experience with billing issues and customer services.If this review is still up and you are reading this its still unresolved and will be updated pending the outcome.Great facility. Poor customer service.

DO READ THE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCES POSTED ELSEWHERE AS WELL. It was my misfortune to get drawn into the web of deceit and rampant duplicity at this place which is smartly concealed under a veil of grandeur. Its run by salesmen looking for sales target and hunger for money, customer service is a myth here. My experience with my membership here has been horrible.I went for a visit to this facility and took a tour with a sales rep, who convinced me and rushed to take up a membership. He promised me few deals, that I later realized were of no value.I had come to Michigan for just a few months and had clearly stated my intentions to the rep before joining. I was told that I can cancel anytime without any specific reason. However, when the time finally came to cancel my subscription, the customer service personnel told me that I was in a 12-month loyalty program that needs a full 12 months of membership before cancellation. I took the matter up to the manager but did not get any response from Lifetime for more than 2 weeks. Ultimately, I had to go to the center and painstakingly convince them with all the documents to prove that I am actually moving out, and only then did I finally got rid of the contract. But they tried to their fullest and till the last moment to keep me in the membership (and get the only thing they care about, money).

This place has great staffs, clean locker rooms, clean towels, gyms, swimming pools, kids center, classes, etc. Its the best place!

Cancelled in January, was told I was good to go. Then found out I was being charged still. FOUR MONTHS! I called to rectify the situation and was told there was nothing they could do for me. $400+ dollars down the drain because someone didnt tell me right information! CRAZY. Will tell everyone I know NOT to use Life Time

The gym it’s nice, installations are good but the staff mmmmm...its terrible, they are nice but only to try to sell you programs and sh$@ then if you request something they are rude most of the time and don’t help at all. Im giving one star so the management can take a look at these am work on customer service.Edit: They actually gave me call and I’m happy they want to work on this. So I hope service get better. Signed children up for Ninja summer camp. Were told they would be able to go swimming every day and would be able to climb the rock wall. Upon attending, I was told they couldnt go swimming because they didnt have enough lifeguards and they didnt climb the rock wall because they wanted to mix things up and do different things. After dropping them off for the second time, I also noticed they only had 2 counselors in the gym with them at 8am with 24 kids playing in the background while they signed kids in. Talk about false advertisement and lack of appropriate staff support. It seems though that they have an issue with following required licensing and regulatory requirements as I have just reviewed their most recent audits. Just FYI, the only snacks they provide are chips and fruit snacks.....a violation of R400.8335 (still not corrected).
