Sylvan has really helped my daughter academically and has given her confidence in school. She struggled with Math as a Freshman and Sophomore. Sylvan tutor Ms. Catherine, who works with my daughter, is patient and knowledgeable. She has worked with my daughter through the homework assistance program which resulted in a major boost in my childs math grades, standardized academic scores and self confidence. My daughter went from failing grades to a steady B earning student in Math at NHS. I am very happy with the assistance from Sylvan Learning Center of Novi. I plan to continue their services until my daughter graduates from high school.

Our sons grades improved dramatically, he has so much more confidence and it is amazing the difference Sylvan has made. It has been such a positive experience, special thanks to Heather and Kathy for finding the ideal tutors for our son.

Sylvan Novi tutors and management have consistently accommodated and provided excellent academic support to both our children. My daughter has been attending tutoring here for math and reading for 5 months. During this time I have seen an overall improvement in her attitude towards school work and learning in general. She really enjoys her tutor and the staff at Sylvan.

Josh absolutely LOVES his time at Sylvan...so much in fact, he wishes he could go on Saturdays! We will keep it at twice weekly, however! He didnt even want to miss one of the sessions when we had something to do as a family. He chose Sylvan and we allowed it that night!

The Sylvan of Novi Center went out of their way to accommodate our family. They found a perfect fit tutor and kept the center open through the lunch hour to meet the special needs of my son. We will definitely use their services in the future

I wrote this review 11 months ago.Our daughter is enjoying her experience at Sylvan and looks forward to her time there. They give the children an opportunity to earn incentives through hard work. Kathy and Heather have kept us (parents) in the loop with her progress. They truly care about my daughters future. I am here 11 months later, adding the fact that our Daughter just scored a 33 on her ACT. I feel even more grateful for the knowledge, support that Kathy, Heather and ALL the wonderful teacher have given my daughter! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

With the help of the excellent tutors at Sylvan, my daughter was able to significantly improve her ACT score results. This helped put her in a higher bracket for scholarships at the universities she is interested in and also helped her to qualify for the honors program at each school. I highly recommend their services and will likely be a returning customer with my younger child.

Great, dedicated and knowledgeable pre-calculus and algebra tutors at this Sylvan-Novi helped us a lot. Very helpful to both of our high school-age children through the years. The directors of this center are very patient, flexible and understanding.

Sylvan Novi exceeded my expectations. My son got so much more from the program than tutoring. The director, Kathy Michel, is so dedicated to the children, it felt like she was a part of our family. Truly, a life-altering experience for my son. It helped him understand his own learning style, and affirm that he was struggling in school because of the methods being used, not because he couldnt learn.

My son who is 16 and struggling in school has been coming to Sylvan Novi for about 2 months. Our daughter had a great experience at Novi Sylvan Learning Center with Kathy Michel and staff. Sylvan was instrumental in getting my daughter on track with elementary school Math. Our son attended Sylvan Learning of Novi while in high school, where he was tested and evaluated by Kathy Michel. Thanks to Kathy, he was identified as a hands-on learner. After taking several college courses and struggling, he decided to enroll in a computer tech school, where he has experienced the kind of learning she encouraged, and has enjoyed success in his courses and will soon be certified in several areas. We are so grateful to Kathy Michel and Sylvan Learning Center - if not for all their help we never would have learned of our son’s learning style and how to best cope with it!

My daughter has been coming to Sylvan for 10 years. The staff is very accommodating when needed to switch times around or add days. Sylvan has also taught my daughter good study habits and organizational skills. I highly recommend giving Sylvan a try, for they enhance your students grades, confidence, and learning abilities. My granddaughter who is 12 looks forward to her classes at Sylvan, and she shares new concepts she is learning with me. She has large class sizes at school, and Sylvan provides individual and additional instruction. She loves her teachers! She gas been going more than a year now and the program has changed with her needs. I am so impressed with her progress and that she can get help with homework and study for tests when needed even on short notice.

My daughter was behind in reading due to hearing issues. We brought her to Sylvan, and in a short time she made huge strides in her reading skills. They have an excellent program, there are frequent communications meetings to discuss progress, and everyone is very helpful and friendly. We are so glad we made this choice.

Sylvan has done wonders for my son. Not only did it improve his skill level it helped build his confidence level to help him succeed in school. Our daughter has been going to Sylvan Learning of Novi for 5 months. Moving back to the US from over seas we noticed that our daughter not only had huge gaps in her learning but also was behind in school. Novi Sylvan has been a lifesaver for my daughter. We started here the summer prior to 2nd grade and she was struggling with reading and still mostly on a kindergarten level. She is now a 3rd grader and reading on grade level and above level in some areas. Sylvan has really been a great supplement to the work that we are also doing at home and at school. Both Kathy and Heather, as well as, all of the instructors are great!

My son had a lazy summer. We thought he was ready for 1st grade. When he started he forgot almost all of his sight words and his early reading skills. I quickly went to Sylvan and they got him right in. He was going twice a week. Sylvan got him back were he was in no time and reading at the level he was supposed to be. Now he is doing very good and knows all of his sight words and reading books. I would recommend Sylvan Learning Center for any child of any age. Your child will excel in school because of their teaching techniques, and gain confidence and motivation as well. We have only had our son attending Sylvan for a little over a month, but already we have seen a significant overall change. He is utilizing the Study Skills services and has become more organized and confident. Although he is in eleventh grade, we discovered it is never too late to make a difference in his studying habits. These skills will take him into his senior year, through college, and adulthood. Our family had a great experience with Novi Sylvan Learning Center. Sylvan helped one daughter increase her ACT score and helped improve another daughters math grade from a D to a B+. Not only did Sylvan help her with her current homework, they also helped her understand foundational concepts she had missed when she was young. This allowed her to voluntarily move on to take additional advanced math courses in high school that were not required.

Sylvan of Novi (Kathy, Heather, Jeremy, Mary S., & Rick) have been very helpful to my daugher. Their individual attention and homework support is greatly appreciated. Regular feedback to parents is wonderful. Instructors are more than competent to guide students in all grades.

I can honestly say that without the Tutors at Novi my son would not gotten accepted to 2 of his top 3 colleges(we are still waiting on #3). My son has Aspergers and it is hard for him to collect his thoughts on paper. When writing college essays this is a big liability.These ladies worked with him and I just cant say enough good things about them. They were able to work around my Sons extracurricular activities and help him overcome some of his challenges.Thank you so much Heather, Kathy, and Mary!

I have enrolled my son to Sylvan Learning for robotics and I am happy that he is loving it. EVery week he gets to build simple but interesting lego robots which are programmed in the class. I definitely recommend this to your kindergarten kid.

My 7yr old son truly enjoyed the Robotics class. Each week he learned something new. The instructor provided a picture and report of what he learned during the session. They even got to name their projects. I look forward to joining another session.

Our family is very grateful for the Novi Sylvan Learning Center. The kids grades are above 3.5, they are confident and eager to learn more. Every staff member (from testing to lesson training) is driven, supportive, and focused on the intellectual development for our kids.We have refereed Novi SLC out to friends and family, and they have be impressed with the great structure of learning and interactions with students.Finally, my kids have learned the use of a weekly study schedule, this is a great tool for my kids. This schedule helps them properly mix snack time, study time, school sports, and family time, giving them flexibility.Big Thanks & Hugs to Kathy. :)

Sylvan has done wonders for our daughter. She was struggling on tests on all subjects and we did not know where to turn to for help. Someone suggested Sylvan and my daughter has more confidence on tests now. Her scores are back up. Her reading level, we found out was 2 grade levels behind and after 10 months at Sylvan, she is now six months ahead of her grade level. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I was at a point of not know how to help her but Sylvan knew exactly what I was going through and has exceeded my expectations for our daughter. She has a confidence in her now that I did not see before regarding school work.

I am so pleased with the progress our son has made at Sylvan Learning Novi. In 4 short months, he has improved his reading comprehension by 2 full years, and will now continue to work on 10th grade algebra and 9th grade reading, as he enters his freshman year. I am so pleased that the staff has provided such an in depth and personal approach to getting him back on track. We will add a study habits course this summer so that he can hit the ground running in high school.
