M. J. White & Son did a basement restoration for me after my water heater exploded and flooded it with a few inches of water. They were professional and always demonstrated a Can Do attitude. They kept me informed every step of the way. Roger, Steve and Angie were outstanding. They did absolutely excellent work. I would definitely recommend them and would certainly use them again.

We had a basement flood and a small room in the basement had to be demolished. M.J.White was the contractor our insurance company recommended to rebuild the space. The work was done well. We are very satisfied.

I cannot give enough praise to the owner Joel and his amazing team. My insurance company contacted them after another remediation company did a horrible job. A separate contractor found mold after they said it was fully remediated. Jim on Joels team stripped all of the flooring, down to the sub floor - cleaned and sanitized and got rid of every speck of mold from my water leak. I was explained the entire process by Joel, Isaiah, and Jim. I complimented Joel on his great team members, and his team members beamed when talking about their boss, Joel. Jims quality of work and work ethic was second to none. I cannot express the peace of mind knowing my family is now safe with a PROPER mold remediation and clean up. Contacted M. J. White & Son for repairs after roof leaked, causing interior damage. Beginning with the first contact to assess damages, followed by project manager, repairs went smoothly. Crews doing content removal/return, dry wall repairs and painting and more, were all handled professionally. The crews in these departments were pleasant, helpful and well skilled. Did quality work.. I would highly recommend them again.

They were recommended to me by my insurance company I was a little hesitant at first HOWEVER I’m so glad I went with them. They were super professional; very communicative. MJ White and Son recently took great care of an individual referred to them for damage to their home after a tree limb fell on their garage. Their pricing was very reasonable for the work they completed and Angie was always very helpful throughout the process. 10/10 would recommend them again!

During the Christmas weekend we experienced an emergency, we had no heat and our furnace went out so we reached out to Les Neal at M.J. White &Son who immediately got to work helping us. I had a roof leak in September 2019. It was the first time I have even filed an insurance claim on my home. MJ White & Son made the process very easy by talking with my insurance adjusters and being present for the insurance inspection. They prepared the estimate very quickly so that my claim could be paid out in a short amount of time. They also did a very thorough job and were very professional.

They were our remediation company when there was a leak in the basement. They came in immediately to dry up the basement. They packed up over 140 boxes of stuff from the basement. They removed the tile, carpet, and part of wall damaged. They worked with me to pick out replacement carpet and wood. The whole process could not have gone any better. They have also cleaned the area every time they were on site, included the debris left by the tree removal company. The scheduling for the repairs was also great. Everything went smoothly. MJ White takes advantage of people and they are dishonest. They charged my family $1,616.00 for removing 20 sqft of dry wall and set up 2 fans to dry the area for 3 days. Their charges are extraordinary: hundreds of dollars per day for 2 small fans, $144 dumping fee for minimal trash they could have disposed at my house, 5 hour labor cost of $236 for equipment setup/take down fee where they basically plugged in 2 fans, and multiple other charges such as cleaning my small kitchen floor for $68. I also installed the dry wall myself after not receiving any information on costs etc. I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THIS COMPANY!

They worked seamlessly with my insurance company and made for a painless process from start to finish. I Wouldnt refer this company to my worst enemy. They totally screwed us after having them come out for flood in my basement by not sending appropriate paperwork or a carpet sample to my insurance company. I had to call them to come get their equipment out of my basement as they almost forgot. Their contractor called me and pressured me to use them for the final repair and told me, he wouldnt waste his time at my job if I was going to play games and get other estimates Do not use this company, even if you are desperate!

I have never had in all my years file a claim with my insurance company. I just wanted to express my gratitude to the fast service I received as soon as the claim was filed. A nice young man came that very day to cover the roof damage. Les Neal also came out that day and he was very kind to explain what was needed in order to fix the damages. All of the people who came out to do the repairs were very professional and nice. They were always on time and very good. I hope I dont have to go through this again, but if I do I would choose MJ White. Thank you.

Dishonest, Poor Workmanship, Absent Customer Service.Came to assess a water-stained ceiling. Ended up ripping up my plaster wall and ceiling down to the studs. It rains a few days later... rains in my house!A $1000 bill shows up at my house, I call to complain about it and they threaten to put a contractors lien on my property. I would highly recommend MJ White & Son Inc. for contract repair. We had a sump pump failure while out of town, and the backup sump also failed. USAA insurance claim alloted so much money for repairs. Project Manager Les Neal came to our home and discussed the options and our vision for repairs to getting back to normal. He set expectations to my reality and was in contact via email, txt messages and phone even during the Thanksgiving holiday. His team of contractors were thorough, honest, trustworthy and respectful. Plus, my two little shiz tzus loved them, and the teams ensured that Augie and Wyatt didnt run out the open doors! Les always ensured the replacement materials I picked out stayed within my budget and were within code for a basememt. A special thank you to all the contractors, who - as they entered our home daily, made me feel like this chaos of a flooded basememt (with everything now in my livingroom and garage) somehow was the norm. Their kindness and confidence was comforting thus allowing us to go about our daily routine. We had a flood in our home at the end of June last summer. We had an extensive amount of damage (kitchen, bathroom, partial basment). We chose MJ White for the renovation as we wanted to support a family business. The first couple months were rocky with getting someone over to start the project because they were so busy. Then I had issues with communication and I felt anxious about it all. My husband and I stayed patient since we understood the business. Once things got started, our experience tremendously improved. I communicated alot via text with our PM and he was very responsive and followed through with everything discussed. The floor company and plumbers they hired out were wonderful and did a great job! His crew that came to our house were respectful and did a great job. If we had concerns with what we saw work wise, we let Mike know and he addressed it. We are about 2 weeks out from our project being complete, but as of now I would recommend this company. My advice is to be patient and make sure you communicate any concerns you have throughout the project if you have any. Mike and his team will take care of you. I will update my review once job is complete.Update: Signed off on our restoration today (12/27/18) and everything looks great and the paperwork was 100% accurate. We are very pleased.

MJ White & Sons was referred to us by our insurance company after we had a pretty serious electrical garage fire, and our usual contractor was booked for the foreseeable future. MJ White & Sons was quick to come out and give us a quote and timeline for the work. We were impressed with how quickly they were able to rebuild our two story garage/attic. They were very responsive when we had questions or issues or requests. The majority of the timeline fell over the Christmas holiday and they worked every day except Christmas Day, including Christmas Eve. They were very friendly, and even carried our trash bins back to their storage location after the garbage trucks picked up our trash on trash day. They completed the work quickly and the garage looks exactly as it did before, just how we wanted it. We had one issue with a replacement door handle on a fence door not being quite how we needed it replaced (and not how it was originally before the fire burned through the fence door), and they were receptive to our request to change the handle and came out the next day after allowing us to suggest the style we wanted. We are very grateful for all of the work they did, it is so nice to have our storage and parking space back before the snow comes this winter. We would recommend their work, we are very happy.

To be honest ....Plz do not go with this company the worst company ever . My house got struck by lightning they came out and patch the roof up so rain dont make it worst. Thay started out really nice they want to help us get whatever we need and get things done ...damn I fell for it ...happen in August of 2015 now we are in mid Feb 2016 still waiting for them to finish . I say this I never been so stress out ...this much in my life . Im to a point that I want to hired someone else to finish the work but I cant the money is tied up with them and the mortgage company . I can go on an on but I will let you know when they are finish.

Worst Service Ever! Terrible project management, sub-standard work, poor follow-up and problem resolution. The main office does not have a clue of the kind of work the contractors are doing and how they represent the company. I agree with others, I wouldnt wish this company on my worst enemy or even their own employees.

Long story short: MJ White & Son performed unnecessary water mitigation at my home. DO NOT HIRE MJ WHITE & SON!They removed a portion of my bathroom wall that had no damage, they left a de-humidifier and air mover at my home for way more time than was necessary, and they removed carpet that was never even wet. All this in an effort to make more money from the insurance company.Completely unprofessional, completely crooked, and completely immoral.

Had a water loss at our house a few years back. It seemed as though they dropped everything to get the water and damaged belongings removed from the basement quickly and efficiently. I would highly recommend them for any repairs.

They damage numerous items in my home, that had been in my childhood home, and after a year, my piano is still with the company that was hired by MJ White to move and store my piano, while work was being done on my home. They owe the moving company over $1,000, abd I dont feel I should have to pay it to get my piano back. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!! I would not have given them even the 1 star that I did, but you cant write a review without at least 1 star.

Hired MJWhite to carpet clean my parents house. After a long winter and two dogs running through the house, the carpet was pretty dirty. MJWhite did a great job and even got some of the worst stains out (muddy paw prints). The serviceman was very friendly and courteous. Would recommend them to anyone need to spruce up your carpet.

There are great people at MJ White I have known for years.

I give them one star only because I couldnt give them zero and still post my review .I wouldnt use this company even if they were the ONLY one available. They were called in to clean-up of a trauma scene. When we realized theys missed a lot, and called them back the FIRST time, the employee apologized for the inconvenience. I asked him to call me when he finished to I could make sure he was thorough before he left, but he called after leaving the site. Again, he missed a lot and we finished the job ourselves. The owner of the company was contacted by the funeral home, who suggested they apologize for the repeated re-traumatization of an already grieving family. Their response was a $20 gift card to Olive Garden and a $150 check, completely inadequate. Avoid them at all costs!

Beware of this company and go with a large corporate outfit. My water loss was in November 2013 whereas major repair work wasnt until July 2014. I spent 8 months walking on the sub floor. I have been through 3 project managers, we had one employee harass my mother over a used refrigerator, they ruined my basement carpet via defecting cleaning machinery and the list goes on and on and on. Broken promises, a lot of the work had to be redone, the subs were OK, but they were not reliable and they routinely didnt show or showed up unannounced. Its February 2015 now and I am just waiting for a claim on my ruined carpet. My recommendation is to avoid this small company.

Using MJ White for water damage I had due to Ice Dams had to be the worst experience I have ever had dealing with anyone doing work in my home. It is bad enough that you are already going through a loss but then to be disrespected by employees, having them disrespect your home and wasting your time but not showing up when they say they will is enough to push any home owner over the edge. My project which shouldnt have taken more than a few months just finished this week after 9 months. There was more than $2,000 in damage to my home from MJ White employees, my furniture came back damaged from their warehouse/storage, my hardwood floors were scratched, my door frames bent from equipment, and bathtub scratched. The first project manager I had blamed the insurance company for the delays and when I would take to the insurance company I found out they were blaming me! I ended up getting a new project manager and crew that worked on my home which made the process a lot smoother but it shouldnt have taken e-mails to the owners to get to that point. I wouldnt wish this company on my worst enemy or even their own employees.

I never take time to write good or bad reviews as companies, services, etc can have many factors go into a poor experience which can have huge impacts that may impact a companies business. However, Ive chosen to write my first review due to this particular companies extremely poor performance. MJ White has taken over 4 months to complete a simple bathroom remodel that wouldve taken a half skilled handy man 7 business days to complete. I wont ramble on with all the details, just know this NOT, a non-performance issue on behalf of the customers. To date, the job is still not complete and there is no end in sight as the bathroom sits inoperable while they argue with their 100% contractor pool over whos responsible for the repair/tear out debacle that now must take place as nothing came together as it should have. If you choose to ignore this review, best of luck to you and Ill look to see your review in the future.

So far, 4 months, and three managers later, still making empty promises, and failing to show up.
