This is the only place I would ever take my vehicles. They do a great job with tires and they are incredibly knowledgeable about tires. In addition to tires they can perform many other functions, oil changes, suspension work, etc. They stand behind their work. In 12 years I’ve spent over $10,000 here and I will continue to take all of my vehicles here. Many thanks to John, Burt, and the team for keeping me and my family safe on the road!!!

We were driving home from San Francisco to Seattle and we got a flat tire. We pulled into H&J Tires to see if they could help. Even though they didn’t have the tire we needed, they didn’t charge us for the work they did. Thanks a lot guys! Very helpful and friendly!!

After getting ripped off at 2 other local shops I found H&J. What a welcome relief to find people with integrity, willing to earn their money honestly. We now use them for all our automotive service for the past several years. I hope they stay around for a long time.

I had heard good things about H&J.I went in to get a brake job for my daughters car.They were busy but said they would look at it and call back with a quote. They called and let me know that she has 75% left on her brakes.Wow what honest people.They suggested rotating the tires. So we had the tires rotated. They said the tires look good. My daughter is leaving home to start her new life and although I will miss her, I feel relieved to know that her car is safe.Thank you H&J

I cant say enough positive things about H&J Tire.My family has been bringing all of our cars to them.They work on all makes and models.The staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful.They are very competitive with their pricing.They have never over-charged for anything.Bring your car here and you wont be disappointed.

Called to get a quote on a tire repair but was met with a rude guy who was as short with a customer as you could possibly be. When a customer calls with an inquiry you should be cordial and helpful which he was NOT. I wont be going there at any point and I suggest you dont either.

We had a serious brake job that needed to be done on our ‘04 sprinter (extended roof & 158” wheelbase) while we were traveling and H&J Tire did a wonderful and quick job at a reasonable price. We were very pleased!!

Great shop! The managers John and Burt and good folks and very reasonable to work with. Much more of a community type of shop as opposed to the large corporate place. Highly recommend giving them a shot!EDIT 06/07/18: I went there yesterday and was highly disappointed. Ill probably never go back again. I used to EXCLUSIVELY bring my car to them. Ive had 4 sets of wheels on my track car and was always had amazing customer service but not anymore.I called in advance to bring my new tires be mounted and balanced on new wheels. Thats it. When I got there they were pretty busy which happens. They couldnt get to it today so one of the service writers offered to keep them overnight which wasnt optimal but at least reasonable to get the work done. He left to get one of the owners to assess the situation.When one of the owners came out he was very stand off-ish and straight up said that he cant guarantee that the wheels/tires wont get damaged. I said fair enough, if you damage them, will you correct the issue with a replacement/repair. He Flat out said NO.For that, I take it that the owner will not stand by their work and wouldnt recommend anyone taking their vehicle there if they care about it.One other thing. Their hours say they close at 5:30 but they actually close at 5:00.

Ive been coming to H & J Tire in Novato for both cars and have always experienced excellent and fast service. Its not easy to find a place you can trust for your car, this is it. I live in south Marin and work in SF, but wouldnt go anywhere else for tires for my car. Thanks, H & J Tire!

The customer service at H & J is excellent and beyond what youd ever expect for a tire shop/ mechanic. I bought some very expensive tires on tirerack that I didnt like due to road noise. John wasnt phased. He helped me pick out something different and got the replacement tires mounted later in the week. I feel like a lot of shops would have been annoyed with me as a customer (since I was admittedly being picky). However, John did everything he could to make me happy. I could tell his whole crew is equally friendly and helpful. The pricing is fair and the service is great. Look no further for a great tire shop!

Prompt kind and honest service. They really stand behind their work. As a master Mechanic for over 20 years I appreciate good service. Burt and John are long-time local Community supporters and businessmen. The poor rating regarding them not wanting to behind their work buy another reviewer is not valid in my view and others in the industry. Repair shops will not typically stand behind Parts supplied by others. Im not saying some shops dont do it as a courtesy or favor, but it usually comes back to bite them. Any profit made on parts goes towards Part failures and unforeseen problems. You dont stay in business as long as they have if you dont stand behind your work.
