Great gym. Super clean. Wish they had more Smith machines though, or people didnt just sit there for 90 minutes talking the whole time. Im impressed though. This is the best out of the three locations ive been to.

The fitness center itself is fine. When I signed up I asked how easy it is to cancel. I explained I do not want to write letter and take 3 months to cancel. They assured me it was easy and I did not. Now Im trying to cancel and they are saying they cant cancel. I went into the center. Sorry you cant cancel in person. I have to send a certified letter to different location. I sent a Certified letter with a signature. Someone scribbled on the receipt for the store in New London. I called to tell them I am ready to cancel again and still they are like no. The kid on the phone is like I dont have the letter. OK can you check in the center. There is no accountability. I put a stop payment on my account so now they are charging my debit. I put another stop payment in today for my debt. I feel like a have a crazy ex that Im trying to break up with and she is just not going to let that happen lol. Good luck on your experience. A business should support their customers and respect their wishes. At planet fitness you are a source of revenue and prepare to fight if you are going to take that away form them.

They have no consideration on reminding us when they are taken out annual fees. People live busy lives. Not everyone is lucky enough to have extra money in their bank accounts. Just a suggestion, you as a company should set up automatic emails for a reminder that annual billing is coming up soon even normal monthly billing. Again, people are busy with life and since the pandemic were all watching our money closer. So a reminder would be nice.

Always well maintained, clean, quiet, and easy to hop right in without fear of feeling like you dont belong.

Half the guys don’t wear their mask right and don’t cover their noses. When I said something to the front desk, I was told it was ok because it helps them breath. All it does is help spread Covid. Your staff needs to be trained better and more diligent about safety.

Ive lived in Groton for a while now and had the opportunity to visit both the old planet fitness which is in the big y plaza and the new one which is in the Goodwill plaza. I have to say as expected as its a new building the new planet fitness is much better. Its larger and cleaner.Currently were in the middle of a Covid pandemic but planet fitness is still open for now which I appreciate. The amount of people allowed inside is less than normal but that said a lot of people are staying home so the place is usually only about a quarter to a third full. Theres plenty of cleaning stations around and masks are required so I do feel safe going.The only criticism I have of planet fitness currently is that the new location removed the free weight bench press and youre forced to use the Smith machine now. But other than that you cant complain for 10 bucks a month or 20 if youre a black card member

Friendly staff, good locker rooms but when it comes to billing and annual fees during this covid situation I am highly dissatisfied. They started charging and renewing annual fees even when I didn’t receive any notifications. Called and was told I can cancel but no refunds are ever allowed. I enjoyed the hours but not work the billing hassle when I haven’t been in months.

I had a great time at Planet Fitness. You still get the social distancing, along with a peaceful great workout.

Have gone to this location multiple times to cancel membership, and yet I still continue to get billed. Planet fitness is the biggest scam ever, monthly billing that they don’t allow you to cancel. Staff here was very friendly just seems impossible to cancel subscription.

Extremely clean...masks and social distancing in play!

Only one water fountain and the water was warm. Sour smell in the men’s locker room and a good bit of water on the floors waiting for a slip and fall attorney. Nice amount of equipment and everything else is in good repair. Staff is pleasant.

The staff has always been super friendly and welcoming which is why I LOVE this location. I don’t live in Norwich however, I hate the Planet Fitness near me so I don’t mind driving up here for better service. Honestly, this is the best gym if you don’t want to spend over $50 a month. Great atmosphere, decent machines, little weight-time, and awesome people!

Fantastic! The staff are super nice, the equipment is very well kept, and the other people are good. They have well knowledgeable trainers and times that can fit anyones schedule. If you dont want to work out with a big crowd there are times that its not too busy or you can go at night. Healthy body, healthy mind...

Great Facility just replaced all Cardio Equipment. Staff is friendly, things are clean. Most important to me is the Atmosphere at PF Norwich. Signed up in January only missed 1 day so far. Never thought I would look forward to going as much as I do. Really feeling much better about myself and the progress I am making.

PF is accessible all over the map. It gives me the opportunity to work out in my hometown or on the road with business. PF keeps their gym fresh and up to date.

5 for the price, convenient hours and amenities beside the showers! Low cost options with extended hours alone is awesome.

Very rude young females at the front desk they dont say have a great workout and when youre leaving they dont say have a good day. Maybe you should hire people that are grateful and respectful for these positions.

These guys are GREAT!!!I transferred my Black Card membership to this club from my original club in Phoenix. During the transfer, there was a swirl around a charge to my Visa. Amanda and Matt made it right, and to my favor in one call.The club itself is spacious, well equipped, and sparkling clean. I have found my new gym home.-John

Great facility. Im a black card member. This is a newer franchise location and I use it as my home location. Its a great size, a lot of treadmills and elliptical machines. Everything is nice and clean. Locker rooms are very clean. The staff is quite friendly. Only downfall, if you want to watch a certain channel, you have to use a machine near it, but thats not even a real issue. Plus there is plenty of parking. I would recommend it this gym.

Have been going here a few weeks, usually heavy use during mid day but not packed. Have only seen one machine down for repair/maintnance and that was back up in a couple days. Very clean gym, friendly staff, and a welcoming environment. They have several tvs that are connected to the workout equiptment, you can bring headphones and watch as you work. USB ports are also on the machines so you can charge your phones too. Very nice gym

Can’t pay with cash, must had a credit/debit card on file which is ridiculous. Can’t pay monthly, have to pay for a year. I moved about an hour away while I still had the membership, yet I was told I couldn’t cancel over the phone even with all of my info. I have to DRIVE AN HOUR back to this specific site to cancel in a matter of 2 seconds. Staff aren’t helpful and they have pizza and food party’s here?!? Why kind of gym promotes to get fit, yet has all of this food you can indulge in?!

The WiFi is not strong enough, can never connect to the server when the place is busy, a little irritating. Can’t enjoy the full experience.

Early morning user, staff is almost always friendly and welcoming (even that early in the morning), equipment is well maintained (although some of the more advanced cardio machine features are missing), would definitely recommend to others!

I found Kimberly to be enthusiastic and energetic upon entering, almost too much so, but I let it go. I came with my fiancée, like I always do. We love working out together. My fiancé and I went in on a black card so we can workout together. We finished our workout, and I sat next to him while he got a massage. I went into his tanning room with him and was alarmed by Kimberly yelling from across the room that only 1 person is allowed in at a time. I had just seen a couple exit one tanning room about 5 minutes before. I then stood awkwardly outside of the tanning room waiting for my fiancée. I decided to make the best of the five minutes or so I’d be waiting by doing a wall sit and she asked me to sit in the lobby. I don’t know why Kimberly wants to separate me from my fiancée but I found it really off putting. Why do you care so much where I sit? I thought this was a judgment free zone? We’re planning to take our business elsewhere. Also the water fountain is still warm.

Only went with a friend but it was awesome! Large selections of machines + weights, and lots of tvs. Even a 30min workout room for those of you in a rush. There were a lot of ppl but it was 20am and my friend said it was busier than normal. The lady at the desk was super nice too. Gonna sign up soon! (its also the cheapest gym around)

The Staff go out of their way to make everyones day better....no matter the time or talent ....never a judgement no matter how weary one is or long one stays in a massage chair....after 3rd Shift I am grateful.

This rating doesn’t have anything to do with the trainers or staff who work there. It’s just this is a newer planet fitness and I was expecting more from it. They have a lot of machines and treadmills. There are machines for resistance training, dumbbells, and smith machines. No free barbell. It gets crowded which makes it hard to find a bench and use dumbbells at times. Good gym for those that aren’t into compound weight lifting meaning deadlifts, squats, bench press, basic compound workouts. Some can be done using dumbbells but it’s not the same. And I personally don’t like Smith machines.

I work out my brother with cerebral palsy and he loves going to this gym. He has lots of friends here and especially likes the massage bed.

I go 5 days a week gets crowded in the pm so i typically go early in am to be able to get machines

Watch your wallet! This location charged my son for two memberships for two years under the same name. After their error was discovered, they REFUSED.to refund the extra charges.

Make sure you get your cancelation in writing was charged 4 additional months and have not used the gym since October 2015. Spoke to manager Matt Jones was of no help . Very disappointed in this place. They need better customer service.

They wont let you get a membership unless you give them access to your bank account. Wanted to pay in advance to avoid that because its fishy and creepy but they charge a $70 penalty!! Most places give a discount when you pay in advance, which I wasnt even expecting, but to charge extra is outrageous. Watch your bank account carefully with this company, Ive heard so many bad experiences of fraudulent charges that never get resolved.

Dont like there game membership plans to where theres hiding costs more to pay and how you have to pay each month a week before the dead line or have 5 days after youll be charged 15 bucks late fees.

The gym equipment wasnt bad, I disliked the customer service; it seemed as though asking a question was a major inconvenience to several staff members and their attitudes showed it. I have two stars because the equipment was always maintained but that does not outweigh the customer service.

This place is only for beginners and old people. They constantly get in your way. Also the music selection the employees play consist of adele, iggy azalea, and brittany spears. They have the worst music by far. DO NOT PAY FOR THIS PLACE.

For less then $20 a month get in a good workout with free WiFi, a chair massage or table waterjet massage and a tanning session.....

Gym has nice equipment and staff is mostly friendly. The problem occurred when I had to move out of the state unexpectedly without another location close enough to use to my new place. I wasnt able to cancel my membership in person because of the quick notice. Sent a certified letter as required but because of the recent storm it was delayed and arrived after the Jan 25 deadline to miss the yearly fee. Tried to explain to both the manager and corporate but was pretty much told too bad your problem not ours or blaming it on the computer system not letting them. Unfortunate they dont care about keeping getting me back as a customer in the future. Next time looking for another gym that is a little more understanding when stuff is out of your control.

My kind of gym. Reasonable fees, clean, huge, massage chairs, tanning section, courteous staff and brand new machines.

They dont have a pool, They dont have group classes, They dont have a lot of amenities like other gyms. This gym is more for an individual who cant afford a better one and for people who just wants weight & Treadmills. I was a member here. Now I go to The Edge Fitness.
