Within the 5 months of meeting with Dr. T., I can confidently say I would not recommend this doctor or this office as a whole. Dr. T. would meet with me online and these 5 MINUTE meetings consisted of utter carelessness and left me feeling as though I was burdening him. In our fist session, I described some of my symptoms of depression and anxiety, and was asked, So, you really think you have depression? Once I finished describing my symptoms, he proceeded to ask me, Is there any medication that you were looking to try? WHAT?! Arent you supposed to tell me that, Dr. T? This was the only psychiatrist that I was able to reach when I was first searching, so I stuck around. The meds he provided me helped, but our next meeting would not be in time for my refills. I would be on the brink of running out, before needing to call my pharmacy to get an 3-day emergency supply. During this time, I would call the office multiple times, leave messages, and no one ever answered or called back. I now have found a new psychiatrist who actually listens and it is unfortunate that I even have to write this review. My advice: if you want a doctor that will help you, find somewhere else.

I have been visiting CT Behavioral Health for over 18 months now and I have been impressed ever since my first appointment. Not only is the office staff efficient, personable, and helpful but the care I have received has been life changing. I was made to feel safe, supported and like I truly mattered. I was even able to communicate with my therapist during her off hours and this made such a world of difference. I would recommend this practice to anyone.

I have a wonderful therapist that has always been there for me. We have a wonderful rapport and she has helped in many areas of support.

Dr Awwa is a blessing to me and my family. He has patiently seen us through some rough times. I have needed his help in some difficult situations and He was right there backing me up and doing everything to help. He has my upmost respect and trust. You can sense his love in helping people to get better. I know its not just a job and money with Him at all. Generally His staff is the same as He is. I consider Dr Awwa to be part of my foundation. I know I can get help and understanding as well as medical care that is 100% trustworthy. I could say so much more. See for yourself, youll be glad you did.

I would not seek care through CBHA in any location. They have switched my provider several times and every time I have to set up a “new patient” appointment. Also, if you owe even 20.00 they will not see you which means you will not be able to continue your treatment. I would think based on the field they’re in they wouldn’t be sticklers for petty sh*t like this but they are. There are better practicing groups out there that TRULY care for your well-being... seek them out.

I began reaching out to therapists during the holidays of 2019. CBHA accommodated me and treated me with the absolute ideal of care during an exceptionally difficult time.Karen in the office was empathetic and helped me with the process with patience and compassion. She connected me with a therapist who matched my needs.The caliber of therapy I have received since beginning my care far exceeded my expectations. I am feeling improvement already with help from my therapist. I could not recommend CBHA more highly.Care in-person and via telehealth are conducted safely and efficiently. My interactions with my psychiatrist have been equally beneficial and I am receiving stellar care from them as well.If I absolutely had to make a critique: the lines in the parking lot could use a touch-up.

My family and I have been going to CBHA for over a decade seeing multiple providers during that time. Each and every staff member has always been professional and excellent at accomplishing the task at hand.

I called the office numerous times all day long, without an answer. When I finally got an answer from someone they transferred me to another person which I then was greeted by the answering machine. I hung up and called back and still did not get an actual person. They don’t seem to care for their patients. All while just trying to get a refill approval on a prescription, that has been out since Friday.

I’ve been out-of-state on a 6-week training & have needed refills. The pharmacy in the state I’ve been in has been great. The issue is CBH. The receptionist I had today was especially awful. I called for a refill yesterday. Nothing was sent over. I call today & get all types of attitude. I called back & left a message for the coordinator (Karen I think) who’s not called me back. To add insult to injury - no prescription has been sent over. I’ll be looking for another practice when I get home.

Both my psychiatrist and my psychotherapist are very kind and caring, knowledgeable and informative. They really care about my overall well-being and not just my medications. They are very sensitive to my situation and always asking how I feel, how I’m doing in my overall life and if theee is anything they can do to make it better. They make me feel like I really matter and am not just a number or jamming the next person in in order to make more money. They spend all the time you need with you for your needs. It’s a really nice place of healing.

I’ve always come here. Probably for about 12 years now. I’ve seen a few different providers and have always had a good experience. I currently see Audrey Allen APRN and she’s awesome. She listens, takes her time and genuinely cares. The front desk staff are always pleasant.

Dr Traboulsi is never on time. I have had to walk out of the office several times without being seen because of having to go back to work or having another appointment. This is absolutely uncalled for.

For me, Dr. Noaman has been nothing short of fantastic. He has listened, taken my concerns seriously, and together we arrived at a medication regimen that works for me unlike anything I have ever experienced. I told other doctors about intolerable side-effects. I think they all, to varying degrees, discounted my word and substituted their judgment as to what was, and was not, tolerable. Consequently, I have spent the last 20 varying degrees of muddled and depressed. With Dr. Noaman’s guidance, I now take one-third the dose of one of the three medications I took prior. I see each day differently.

I have been with CBHA for three years and during my time here I have never felt cared about in any way. Recently I had to wait 5 months for an appointment with a new doctor. After meeting with her once, I am told the day of my next meeting that she has apparently left the practice, and it took two months for me to meet with someone new. My appointments have been canceled without explanation and my appointments have never happen less than twenty minutes late. The psychiatrist I saw for years (because he was the only option with my insurance) was incredibly rude, dismissive, and told me my mental health issues were just due to me being a teenager. Some of the receptionists act like they care but don’t actually do anything to help. I would advise staying away from here unless you like to be treated poorly and have your money wasted.

My child has an appointment today, January 7 2020, at 10 AM. She is sick, running a fever, and I have been trying to call since the phone lines opened. It just rings. No one has answered at all. I have no other way of letting the office know. This is unacceptable.I have changed my rating now that I know this was a technical issue.

Our daughter was supposed to switch here to see Dr Traboulsi. We waited over a month to be told he refused to take her as a patient Now, because of this we are left scrambling to find her a provider and are going to have to deal with her without her medications. Best yet, no reason was given for not taking her. Completely unprofessional. How can you tell someone you will take them as a new patient, have them put all their faith into you, have them wait to see you for over a month while their medications run out, only to say the dr says he wont see you. Terrible.

I started seeing dr t. when i was 17, from the very beginning he made me feel uncomfortable. when i was talking about my previous diagnoses, he proceeded to tell me that i was lying and none of them were true. shortly after, i attempted to make a follow up appointment with a counselor there. she never called me back and i felt that it was very rude. after a month or so they sent me a letter stating i was no longer a patient there and i ended up having to stop my medication as they were no longer providing them to me. this place is ridiculous.

If I could give this office NO stars I would. Let me start off by saying you would think that people working in a psychiatrist office would be somewhat kind and compassionate... that was not the case of my experience at all. I missed my initial appointment due to being sick. I was then rescheduled two weeks later. I arrived at my 9am appointment 10 minutes early as instructed by the (rude) woman over the phone. No one was at the desk, and no one came to greet me. After 15 minutes went by I then rang the bell again, no one came out. Another patient arrived, rang the bell, and was taken into her appointment. No one even looked at me. I call the office. No answer, so I leave a message. Another 15 min. go by, I ring the bell again, Nothing. I call again, and left another message. Finally after 35 minutes a woman comes out and tells me in am in the wrong office and I need to go next door, and just walks away. Naturally, I am already upset. I walk next door. The girl at the desk does not even look up from her computer, I explained briefly that I had been waiting, and I called etc. She tells me she didnt receive any calls. I told her I left a message, she then checks the messages, on speaker phone in the office (while another patient is waiting) she then advises me I will need to reschedule my appointment. The earliest appointment in the new London office was two weeks, I advised I couldnt wait that long, as I take medication. She scheduled me for an appointment in the Norwich office for two days later. I arrived two days later at my appointment and I met with Stephanie. I have never in my life felt WORSE after meeting with a doctor. Stephanie did not even make eye contact with me, and after 30 minutes of meeting me (half of which was used trying to obtain my medical records) she diagnoses me, with a diagnosis that in 15 years of treatment I have never once been diagnosed with and is not REMOTELY accurate. I will not step foot into this office ever again, and anyone who is looking for compassion and respect for their provider should not either.

I have been going here for some time now and they are great! From reception to the docs and they are even there for you when they are outside the office!

The compassionate, dedicated, professional care, is second to none at CBHA. Any and all practitioners I have been fortunate enough to be under the care of has resulted in far reaching positive results. From the moment you are greeted by the front office staff to the conclusion of your appointment the experience aside from pleasant, is internally rewarding, helpful, and places you on a path which leads you to progress in ways I never thought possible. To reiterate, this practice, the practitioners are always open minded and consistently work towrds improving your quality of life. This model is a far cry from those practices that view you as just a customer. I cant thank them enough at looking at my issues as important and critical to ones well being!

Terrible practice. Dont use them, ever. Their offices arent that clean - at least the ones I went to. They are IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of, no matter what phone number you call. And worst off, they abandon you once they start caring for you. If I could give negative stars I would.

I have fought depression, anxiety, and PTSD for many years. I had settled for just okay, until CT Behavioural Health. This company hires high quality professionals. I have been a client for around 1 1/2 years and have found myself healthier and happier then I have been in years. My therapist is awesome and knowledgeable and we have come a long way. She also returns calls promptly which keeps you grounded. The staff treats you with both respect and kindness. Dr. Awwa, the psychiatrist, is amazing. He can get so much done and really knows his patients. He cares and he knows his stuff. He is up to date at all times and gets so much done in 5 to 10 minutes. On top of all that they offer TMS Therapy, a fairly new magnetic based therapy, in several of their offices. This has been so excellent. If I could give the machine and the staff whom operate it a 100 stars, I would. Why, you might ask. Well, I have had various treatments including ECT. None made a difference. This did. It helped me feel peace long term, rebound quicker from any falls, and feel less depressed then I have ever felt in a decade. And this is how I currently feel after have had it in November 2017 to January 2018. Yes, I am talking a year ago. So, I feel with all this, that I so highly recommend CBHA. I, truly, believe you will not be disappointed but instead happily suprised.

I had to reschedule due to the fact I had a family emergency and they told me that I will get charge a 50$ fee for rescheduling because it wasnt within 24 hours This is ridiculous... anything to get money out of someone. I will not be paying for it. Idk if I am even going to come back. Not happy!

After expressing concerns about the inconvenience of scheduling I was promptly told by the receptionist that “if you are unhappy here you can always leave “. Honestly just disheartening to see a first point of contact to your mental health lifeline be so dismissive and rejecting. Would never go back.

I have been attending therapy at this establishment for the past 5 years. I have benefited greatly by the service they have provided me.

Go somewhere else, Dr.noaman will drop you from the program and not even give you a last prescription to taper you off of the suboxone so you dont have detox symptoms. Very rude also and really just cares about $.But, margie the receptionist. Is very kind and thoughtful. Great person to talk with.
