My dad recently went in today to pick up a rental vehicle, which we will be using to haul large items. My dad made the reservation back in mid-June and when we went into the lot this morning, there was only one dirty vehicle sitting in the lot. We are frequent renters and rent about 1-2x a year. Each time we rent from this location, the vehicles are always dirty, sticky, and have fingerprints all over the interior. Upon bringing this to their attention, they said they aren’t allowed to wash the outside of the vehicles in the lot. Not to mention the price you are paying to rent these vehicles, which are not taken care of, is outrageous. If you’re in the market to rent a vehicle, save your time and go anywhere else but here. Hertz has more reasonable prices.

I have rented from enterprise multiple times in the past couple of years and never have had the experience I encountered on April 9th, 2021. I had scheduled my pick-up time for 3:00pm. I arrive to the office and am notified that the vehicle has not arrived and it will be there in 30 minutes. I opted to wait and wait is more then what I did. It took the driver 45 minutes to return with my rental that I booked for 10 days. Upon arrival I had to wait an addition 30-40 minutes for the vehicle to be cleaned because the previous renter left it in shambles. When it was time to do the vehicle walk around, I had to point out physical damage on every inch of the exterior of the car and sadly that is not an exaggeration. The vehicle was only fueled to a quarter of tank so I had to make it my priority to stop at a gas station before returning to my residence to load the rental and take off on a 12 hour drive to South Carolina. On departure from the rental location, I noticed a small vibration but just thought that was how the vehicle was. Once I departed on my 12 he drive, I noticed the breaks were what was causing the terrible vibration. Any speed over 10mph would cause the breaks to vibrate violently when coming to a stop. 6 hrs into the trip the tire pressure in two of the tires dropped from 35 psi to 22 psi. I stopped and filled the tires twice just for them to lose pressure continually. Once I arrived to my destination, I parked the rental and refused to drive it until I could speak to roadside assistance the following day. Come April 11th, I contacted roadside assistance and notified them of the vehicles issues. The representative informed me to bring the vehicle to Myrtle beach International airport location for a vehicle switch out. Once I arrived I was greater by Matt, the Area Manager. This individual went against the roadside assistance request for a vehicle switch out and told me I had to bring it to Firestone and get it fixed. I then called customer support and notified them of the situation. They then proceeded to call and email until Matt acknowledged the switch out request. Only after two more hours of my time did the issue become resolved. I am deeply considering renting from hertz from here on out especially if they can match the rates I get with my corporate discount.

My first dealings with the Norwich branch, I was over charged for a smaller vehicle. I dealt with the Groton branch and was treated like a ni××34, went back to Norwich and got a car that shouldve been off the road. When brought back, the option i was given was to take a smaller vehicle. Meanwhile the whole time the manager was holding a car to send out for himself.

Overall a comfortable and relaxing experience.Without a doubt, best staff of the several Enterprise locations I’ve patronized over the years.Staff made what is normally an essential expenditure feel more like a personalized service, tailored to me needs like a custom fit suit.

What’s the point of reserving a vehicle and when u get there they don’t have it and and try to get u into a smaller vehicle and say well that’s all we can do for u never using the Norwich location again I’m considering using any other rental company from now on and the customer support is no help at all when trying to get the issue resolved

I usually rent at this location. The entrance/exit is terrible. Dont go in if you have a low car. My daughter reserved the car, I was picking it upThe car was so small I felt like I was riding a golf cart. The car struggled driving up hill.The car was not cleaned well. Something all over the stirring wheel, Looked like coffee. The car also starting to smell funky. I was going to bring the car back early but no one was there. They might have left early because off the holidays. No sign saying closing early, let people know they were closed on Christmas eve. I was stuck with a car I didnt drive. I was not offered a discount or anything when Ioi turned the car in.. I will go elsewhere next time

I was extremely disappointed with how late they were picking me up . I made an appointment for 10am on a Monday morning for them to pick me up at a garage where my car was being repaired. The driver did not pick me up til 10:48 and we still had to go back to the office and do the paper work and inspect the car. I was very late to an appointment that I had. They shouldve already had everything ready to go and been there at 10. Whats the point of making an appointment then?

I started in willimantic and ended in Norwich. Usually we rent from Brooklyn ct who is awesome but there closes to the pandemic. Anyway hit some snags In willimantic but nothing the manger of Norwich couldn’t handle. Awesome service there. For a young manger he did his job awesome and professionally. 👍

Very very nice when I arrived took a little longer than I expected, standing outside in the cold and snow was a little irritating. But everyone was present and the employees had to be outside to. But in the morning I was running about 20 minutes late and I made a phone call to them play for me that I had a $20 late charge for every hour I was late. Although I was going to be only a few minutes. Other than outside in the extra charge not too bad the car was clean

After a billing fiasco they may be late for work by 2 hours... The Dodge Durango that I rented smelled of cigarettes Even though they have a no smoking policy on their cars. Was charged a weekly rental even though I only had it for 5 days. Money worked out to be the same though there was no offer for me to keep it for two more days. Enterprise is generally a great place to rent a vehicle reasonable rates most of the time...

I was highly disappointed. After reserving a car 26 hours in advance, when I got there, they informed me that an economy car was not available. Correct me if Im wrong, but if I reserve a car that far in advance, shouldnt they ensure one would be available when I arrive at the scheduled time? I ended up having to rent the largest minivan ever! A 7 passenger Dodge caravan.They did waive the extra $7 A-day fee, because it was their fault that I couldnt be put in an economy car. I had a very difficult time maneuvering this monster of a vehicle. I was very uncomfortable driving it, and didnt enjoy the experience at all. Had I not needed a car that day, because mine went into the shop 2 hours prior, I would have walked away. Next time I need to rent a car, I will go to Hertz.

I was extremely disappointed and frustrated in the way I was pressured multiple times to accept a substitute for the vehicle reserved 3 weeks in advance. I also was forced to wait an extra 45 minutes for the reserved vehicle to arrive on site since this location was experiencing a shortage in available vehicles. I was called twice by the locations manager on the day of the rental pickup as an attempt to persuade me to change what vehicle I would accept and asked (3) more times while on location waiting for my vehicle to either change to a large sedan, a truck or a mini-van when I needed an SUV to move my childs belongings to a college campus 900 miles away (5th trip - knew exactly what was needed). Upon my return of the vehicle, the staff was seemed more interested in taking care of the UPS driver than in servicing their clients efficiently. I actually had an employee insist that I could not park my personal vehicle where I did as he stated it was a problem for entering and exiting the lot (which was not accurate). At that point, I was so irritated with my entire experience that I simply dropped off my keys in the drop box and left. It is highly unlikely I will rent from this location again.

I was picked up promptly at the dealership after dropping my truck off. The Enterprise service team were friendly and professional. I drive a F150 and they placed me in F150 because thats what Im used to driving. The customer representative charged the car rate and not the higher truck rate. The vehicle was a dream to drive. We had a small bit of damage to our car. Enterprise met me at the body shop with a loaner and I was able to drop off the loaner at the body shop when the repair was complete. The Enterprise representative and was very personable and thorough in her delivery.

Received an insurance rental car with a nail in the tire. Had to use enterprise roadside assistance service to pay for a problem that I didn’t cause in order to drive it almost 70 miles from work to a major airport to exchange it for a minivan (which was not comparable to my personal vehicle on my auto insurance policy). Spoke with regional manager in Hartford, CT, who promised to arrange a vehicle swap to something other than a minivan. When I called the local Enterprise office the next day to verify there was a vehicle to exchange the minivan for, there wasn’t. The regional manager absolutely dropped the ball and put all the responsibility on the local office, which took the brunt of my frustration. Ultimately Enterprise comped me a very nice GMC Yukon, but not after I did all I could to hold them accountable for their mistakes.

This should be a zero star rating due to the lack of customer service. Lack of communication, and lack of commitment to customers from the entire company. I reserved a Jetta (or like vehicle) on Oct 1 at 2pm, for a Oct 2 730am pick up. When I arrived to the facility (a house) I had to wait outside due to covid (no problem). I was asked for my ID so they could locate my reservation and when the employee returned with my ID he informed me that they didnt have anything available but a Van.I didnt reserve a Van nor can I use a van as I was heading to Philly to pick up my daughter from school so she could surprise her mother. I wanted something that matched our current cars, not a van. As that would be too big to navigate in and out of the city with ease.They had a Jetta, but he had mechanical issues. They had 4 other cars, but they too had plate issues. Thats what the employee told me. So I left in our own vehicle upset because NO ONE had called prior, no emails, nothing from this location or anyone from Enterprise.As we are heading down to Philly, I called customer service, and informed them of what happened. I was told that a regional manager would call and try to locate a car for me. We get to Philly, turn right around and head back. I was able to make it the entire trip without a single call from Enterprise. I call back around 7pm to figure out what is going on. I had again informed the rep of what took place and she tells me its not usual for a regional manager to return a call the same day and or find a car. I said Ok, whats next? she informs me that someone should be calling within 24/48hrs to fix the situation.Well, its now Tuesday October 6th, Not a single call from anyone at Enterprise. I did receive an email welcoming me to Enterprise Plus (no clue what that even is).You would think with COVID, and many working remotely that engaging with customers would be paramount, I guess Enterprise doesnt care about its customers that much, not even enough to inform them the car they had reserved is no longer available. Disappointment is an understatement at this moment as Im still trying to understand why ONE person couldnt pick up the phone and call me? If youre looking for a rental car company that cares, pick another one, Enterprise isnt it.

The stupidity of the employees amazed me. I was never told by these people I would need 100 dollar deposit upon receiving this vehicle so I didn’t plan for it. Therefor when it came time to get my rental I was forced to be broke the whole week. inexcusable stupidity.

Courteous staff. Picked me up at auto body shop and drove back to the rental office. All paperwork was done on a tablet and we didn’t have to go into the office. When I returned the car, the process was smooth and took only a few minutes.

Ive rented from this location several times, and Ive had only positive experiences. Phone reservations are easy, and people are always quite pleasant and friendly. Several times the lack of an available full-size car has resulted in a terrific upgrade. Pickup and drop-off processes are always smoothly and quickly executed. My only complaint is that exiting the lot onto West Main Street is sometimes challenging.

Ive used this Norwich branch three times now and they are Great. Once I used for business in which I forgot my house keys in the car after returning, they immediately contacted the new renter and had my keys sent to me. The other times I had a car repair go from what should have been 2 hrs turned into a 2 week cluster, but the staff was accommodating, friendly, and helpful.

The car rental experience itself was surprisingly easy from registering online to picking up my car I like how they have handheld tablets to walk out to the vehicle inspected, signed put my credit card in their tablet it was just so quick . The only downfall is when I initially put in the request for car rental and a gentleman had called me and talk to me about my request and so forth it was different from when I went to pick up the car they said oh you were quoted x dollars per day for some type of insurance. I never spoke to the person on the phone about getting an additional insurance for the vehicle so that was something like I felt like I was being forced into taking it. Other than that the car itself the ease of getting in and out and dropping it off was very nice. It was the first time Ive ever rented a vehicle and if I had to do it again I would definitely go through enterprise .

I have always used Enterprise in Norwich.I have always had excellent customer service no matter who you talked to or who you deal with they are all super nice, friendly, helpful and always look to get you the best deal.I do wish when the clean the cars they would also make sure the windows were clean as well. I always,have to clean the windows right away. I am a plus member and do not like the,way the points accumulate. In that respect I feel I am being ripped off. The cost is high and I feel they should give more, that of course has nothing to do with the local branch. They are,all outstandingI would recommend this office to anyone

Came to Enterprise last minute (they were closing in roughly an hour) looking for a medium sized rental for two days. Received a beautiful 2018 Ford Escort with less than 6,000 miles on it. Beautiful ride for the two days and really makes me think about Ford in the future! Nice job Enterprise and thanks for the excellent service.

I have never been treated so badly. They reserved my car knowing my age and without ever having told me I needed insurance. When I arrived they did not rent it to me and I lost my trip. Never rent a car there, they were impolite.

Ive been a regular renter here since they opened up the office in Norwich. Everyone has been great. No complaints on the staff. Very good. The only issue I had was the last rental car I got. The tire low light was on. The woman who helped me said she checked the tire pressure on all the tires and they were fine. When I got home, my husband wasnt happy I had a car with an issue as I was going to be traveling alone a long distance without knowing if there was indeed an issue with the tires. The woman who helped me was vey understanding and corrected the situation and I switched cars when one became available. Only problem I would say is that they shouldnt rent out a car if there is an issue with it. It should be serviced, especially when you are spending $230.00 on it.

My only complaint about my experience with them was getting a vehicle that wasnt as good on gas as the one I had reserved. I had reserved a VW Jetta many days in advance but when I went in for pickup they only had trucks left. Im not quite sure how they determine who gets what vehicle but I ended up spending alot more in fuel costs then initially planned. Other then that, the staff is fantastic and the entire experience went smooth and seamless.

Michael not only helped moved my belongings from the rental to my car, but he was very helpful and provided me with exceptional customer service, even though I was very upset and impatient. Rented a car from this location. They charged a 250 deposit on a corporate account. When I returned the vehicle I left an item in the vehicle. Contacted the location and was told that they cant send personal items back and that I would have to come in to get it. Not worth the time to deal with a company that cares so little about customers.

I was scheduled for a 8:30am pick up at a local body shop. At 8:45am when the driver was not present I called enterprise and the representative said the driver was running late and was on his way. The driver arrived at 8:50. While he was nice, he did not say sorry for being late. I was late for work and late to dropping my 2 children off at child care. A curiosity telephone call and sorry would have been appreciated.

Only two people on staff at this very busy location. They did NOT have the class vehicle(Intermediate) that I requested. My only option was a Nissan pickup or a compact Ford Focus. I reluctantly chose the Focus. Disappointed.

Had reserved a full size car, but when I got there they didnt have any. Had to wait 45 min for them to find one. The girl we dealt with when I went to pick up the car was great. When I reserved the car the total was $273 and change, yet when I returned it the lady at first said $540. I said no that is not what we agreed on. She finally said $283 and change. Not sure what the extra $10 is for seeing the receipt was being emailed to me and I never received it.

I was not happy with my last visit to get my car. I called at 12 for a pick up knowing it would take a few minutes as the machine said immediate pickup. They said they were very busy and could not get me for an hour. I said i would call back if i could not find a ride. I did so a few minutes later and she said she would get me at 130 which was an hour and a half. I waited out side and finally called back at 207 and the man said I was scjeduledfor a 2 oclock pick up. I rold him she had said 130 and it was still paat 2. He said he would be right over. He finally came at 225. He explained about some problem at Mohegan Sun gas station and alot of people needing cars. I didnt care at that moment I had my sons wedding to get to and was now running late. He did the paper work fast to get me on the road. The car was not clean on the outside dust on the door openings and the windshield was covered in pitch. It did drive nice and I have always had great service before this.

They gave us a “non smoking” car except it smelled like smoke.. oh and VOMIT! They said they didn’t have anything else. We brought back the car and they asked us how was the experience. I told them exactly how it was... trash. The car smelled terrible. They proceeded to tell me that the car didn’t smell like anything, mind you.. I’m driving it id know. As well as the representative Karen who obviously is with a K cause If it was a C she would have CARED. She then interrupted my conversation as I was telling the man that was helping me.. no she was not a manager.. just another worker ear hustling saying that was impossible. I never get my deposit back for the reason that the car wasnt clean so they charged me 125$ for vhehicule cleaning charge. YES 125$ to clean the car. My experience was fine in the beginning until my ex took the rental and didnt return it. The state police found it and Enterprise towed it. Enterprise got to keep the deposit to cover the cleaning and loss of the keys. My insurance covered the property damage. The ex is being brought up on charges. Now I tried renting a car again. Even the it wasnt my fault about the rental car Enterprise will no longer rent to me. And R J from the Norwich office was very smug and rude telling me so. Be sure to make recordings if you plan to rent a car from this place. I booked a car to be picked up from here and dropped in Norwalk. As is customary, before you take the car, there will be a walk around inspection. If you do decide to rent from them, make sure you video record and point out every single mark and dent. The lady from Norwich(How I wish I had gotten her name) was so casual and did it so quickly, and brushed it off saying that small marks are not a big deal. Then, before I am about to pay, she started insisting I take the enterprise damage coverage. I knew for a fact that I wasnt required to(I had literally rented a car 3 weeks earlier and was able to take it without any damage coverage), but she kept insisting and seemed like she wouldnt give me the car if I didnt, so I just agreed as I really needed a car to get closer to JFK since I had a flight the day after.When I delivered the car to Norwalk, they started claiming that there was a serious dent on the side and that it could cost up to $1000 to fix. They told me I was lucky that I got the damage coverage. I can say with absolute certainty that I did not cause that dent. I only drove the car down to my sisters house, left it in the driveway and then brought it straight to the Enterprise dealer. It really wasnt that big of a dent, and it must have been there when I picked it up from Norwich, but I was careless and didnt really scrutinize and didnt have any way to prove otherwise. After waiting for at least half and hour for the guy to write up the report on the dent that I supposedly caused, they decided they werent done with me and scammed me further by asking me to do them a favor and drop the car off at a different enterprise center(I had booked online to send it to the center on Main Avenue in Norwalk and they asked me to send it to the one on Westport avenue in Norwalk) and that they would waive the drop fee saving me about $30 or so. I thought, why not save a little and decided to bring it there. However, when I brought it there the man also started talking about the dent and that he had to write a report, and further wasted my time. He told me he didnt know anything about the discount and that only the originating branch can handle fees. By this point I was sick of these people and just left in complete anger and frustration.I didnt end up being liable for anything but it was a really terrible experience and at least 2 hours of my time as wasted dealing with their claims. Im not sure if they just dont like dealing with the paperwork and try to pass it off to other branches or they just trying to make their damage coverage seem like it is worth it. whatever the case, it is just clear they are professional liars. They lie right to your face. I even told them to their face that I know they are lying and they just kept cool and calm. Really slick. I would avoid renting from them in the future but if I had to I will video record everything.I had a previous experience renting a car with enterprise where I picked up and returned the car to the same branch. It was a great experiences so I was really surprised by this.

Customer service was excellent. My credit card provider put a temporary block on my account when theEnterprise Rep tried th process the payment. He stayed a half hour after closing time while I got my CC customer service to lift the block and yhe transaction reprocessed. Thats th kind of excellent customer service that,s not so easy to find these days.It had been quiet a while since I rented a car so I was more than alittle surprised by the current rental fees. It was a bit of a reality check for me .Against my better judgement I decided to go the economy rental. Big mistake on my part. Im just to old for small cars on long drive. Next time Ill go midsize and have the seat ajusted before I leave the Enterprise lot.Unlimited miles was fantastic and much appreciaredOverall this was a great experiece and I cant say enough about the great customer service.

Very smooth interaction. The car was perfect except for an outdated inspection sticker that my company parking policy did not permit, so Enterprise changed my car out that day, and gave me a terrific upgrade in the process.
