Our kayak tour with Keats (our tour guide) was everything we hoped for and more! We had never kayaked before and Keats made us feel super comfortable. My one daughter was quite nervous but Keats put her at ease and within a few minutes of being on the water she was laughing and having a great time. The sunrise tour offered a gorgeous, serene setting and really allowed us to take in the beauty of the surrounding area. Keats is very knowledgeable about the ecosystem and taught us quite a bit along the way. If you are even considering a kayak tour then Trailblaze Adventure is who you want with you along the way! I had inquired about renting bikes for the day to ride on the beach. While thinking about that, the owner mentioned the kayak tour to an island. I’m so glad he did! My entire family enjoyed the trip to from and on the island. Also, Meara, our guide was super nice and informative about the wildlife in the area and gave us a great tour. It was well worth the price and we would definitely do it again!

My boyfriend and I took a short trip to myrtle and wanted to do the various activities offered. There are a lot of companies and tour options available for kayaking and paddle boarding but trailblaze adventure should be the one you go with; our experience was absolutely delightful. Keats our tour guide was helpful and encouraging and knew a lot about the area and helped me greatly as a first time paddle boarder. I was nervous and unsure I’d get the hang out of it but he was patient and offered tips throughout our journey. I ended up loving paddle boarding! We took the Regular salt marsh tour which was very peaceful and beautiful to be paddle through. We took a break at a little beach and got to walk around and explore and he even offered us cold water. We would love to the private island tour if we ever come back to myrtle beach!

So I have never been in a kayak before and was beyond nervous. Keats was absolutely amazing! He was calm and helpful and walked me through how to use the paddles and steer. He stayed near and talked to you throughout the whole experience. We stopped at some wetlands before heading to Waites Island. He showed us some of the wildlife there as well. We had a beautiful paddle back as the sun was setting. He is awesome to talk to as you are experiencing the beautiful scenery. I cannot wait to go back!!

We really enjoyed riding the bikes around, Cherry Grove. Bikes were in excellent condition and dropped off at the designated time. We’ll definitely rent bikes again next year.

We booked a kayak tour for a group of 7 people. Keats, our tour guide, took us on a wonderful guided tour of the marsh and bay. We kayaked to an island and were able to take a nice break and walk around before making the return trip. Keats was really knowledgeable about the area and always took the opportunity to point out the local wildlife. We had a wonderful time and would 100% recommend for anyone visiting the area!

Amazing experience for the whole family! We had so much fun. Rare to find such a professional, high quality service. The owners, a father-son duo were super accommodating, friendly and very well organized. The gear was immaculate and they thought of everything. We did a Kayak trip to a private island - we enjoyed the tranquility and peacefulness. Meara, the tour guide was very pleasant, so calm and easy-going. The kids had a blast, too. This was not our first experience with Trailblaze Adventure, we previously had rented golf carts a few times, and were impressed with their professional service and flexibility. In the 20-some years we’ve been coming to MB, we never this kayaking experience existed! It was really great. Keats, our guide, was awesome. Super personable and shared lots of interesting knowledge about the marsh area. The cost for the 3.5 he trip was so reasonable and what I loved the most is there are no hidden fees. Our guide took photos on his phone as we were actively kayaking and sent them to everyone after the tour. No extra cost of $30-50 for a thumb drive of pictures! It was a really nice way to spend the morning.

What amazing kayak adventure! I’ve never kayaked before and was made to feel completely comfortable. Life vests were available in every kayak. The guides were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and skilled. The tour was a leisurely (mild effort) paddle down the waterway to an uninhabited island. It was crowded the day we were there with many other kayak tours in the water around us. Our tour included a stop at a sandbank marsh area where we saw sand crabs and had a great discussion with our knowledgeable guides. This was great, because all the other tours went straight to the island, so we had two adventures in one! Then, when we got to the island, it was a gorgeous, natural beach with gently rolling waves. Our group strolled along the beach, stepping in and out of the warm water, in silent awe of the natural beauty around us. This trip was with every penny and more. I highly recommend this company when you are visiting North Myrtle Beach or Myrtle Beach. You will go back to your house/ hotel relaxed, wonderfully tired and grateful for the experience. This was an excellent way to see parts of the coast you won’t see on the normal vacation beats. Great value and good company.Keats made sure we arrived at the boat launch by texting us beforehand. When we arrived he greeted us by name even though we had not met face to face. Our guide, Mira (?), was confident, caring and able. She was able to answer all our questions along the way.Both she and Keats did all the heavy lifting that was necessary for the kayaks. All the equipment was in good shape including the life vests, paddles and kayaks. They even snapped a few photos along the way and sent them to us.Overall this was a great way to spend an evening leading into the sunset.

We had the best time. We are going to do this again. Getting to go to a private island and swim and hang out for an hour was great. We stopped half way through to rest and walk around for a few minutes. They were providing facts about crabs on the little island we stopped on and picking them to show everyone how to hold them. It was great.

Went sup boarding with 4 kids under 10. They took care of everything, guide was amazing and even took time to show kids the wildlife. Although they were all a little bit scared at first by the end they were super happy and having a great time. Cant recommend enough! Youll have a great time.

We booked our trip last minute, and Trailblaze Adventure had an opening. The company called us in plenty of time to offer a refund or to reschedule for a later time in the day because of a technical issue on their end. The rescheduled time was for the island at sunset, and it was absolutely beautiful. The guide was fantastic, and everyone in my group was beginners, so she was very helpful. My husband and I had our three children with us, ages 15, 11, and 5. We took two tandem kayaks and one single. Everyone had a great time.

Keats and Meara are an absolute favorite of ours. We had never been to Myrtle Beach and just took a chance on this guided kayak tour. Not only did Keats rearrange our reservation to make sure we had the best day, Meara was informative and fun the entire time. We are complete novices in kayaking, but she made us feel comfortable. We are in our late 40’s and this tour was perfect! An extremely fun afternoon!

It was a really nice trip. May be rough paddle on a windy day but overall its pretty easy going and they have great guides. Ours was a blonde haired girl. Cant remember her name but she was great.

Wow what a gorgeous evening on the water. We arrived a little late but it was all good. Our guide, Keats, gave a us all a quick demo of how to use our paddles and had us in the water in no time. Our group was 8 total and Keats was very helpful. He got us moving along and pointed out interesting sights. He had great knowledge of the local wild life and what we could find along the way. My 12 and two 15 year olds had a great time kayaking for their first time. Keats even took time to let them try paddle boarding. All in all I would highly recommend Trailblaze Adventures and Keats. This was a great kayak tour! The online booking was easy and the shop is run by a dad and son, which is adorable. The boats were new and the guide did all the lifting for you so it is very accessible to all abilities. I would highly recommend a kayak tour. But also we rented bikes to ride on the beach and the price and service was awesome!

Keats went above and beyond to accommodate us and deliver 8 bikes to our condo for our last day of family vacation. Because of a life changing medical diagnosis as a child, our 19 yr old son had never learned to ride a bike. But thanks to Keats at Trailblaze Adventure, my husband finally had an opportunity to teach our son how to ride! (It was heartwarming for everyone on the beach watching this man teach this young man to ride a bike! Everyone clapped when he finally got the hang of it!). We will most definitely rent here again! What a fun excursion! Keats & Mira were great guides. Trailblaze stops at a marsh where you can find fiddler & blue crabs. I’m not sure if other groups do this, but it was a fun learning experience for a group that knows little about the ecosystem on the coast. Be prepared to be tired at the end. It’s a mile to the island & could be difficult if you are out of shape or on a windy day.

We rented 4 kayaks and they met us at the Cherry Grove boat ramp. They were very friendly and professional. Highly recommend this family run business. Kayaks, lifejackets, and oars were top notch and in great shape.

What a great paddling excursion! Keats was a wonderful instructor and guide. He showed us how to paddle our kayak and paddleboard. And on the way to Waites Island, we stopped on a sandy beach and he showed us how to catch a blue crab (with his hands!) and a horseshoe crab! Trailblaze Adventure had great equipment and even loaned us a dry bag for our things! The trip itself was just enough – not too tiring and yet long enough to enjoy the beauty of the inlet. Fun time and we will definitely be back to do again! Highly recommend!

My tour was a complete BLAST. The most fun I had all vacation! The route was beautiful and peaceful! And the island we stopped at was astonishing. Beautiful white sand, clearer water, and hermit crabs everywhere! It was so cool. Our guide was so helpful and it was just truly amazing. Our Saltwater Marsh tour this afternoon was fantastic! We loved everything about it. Our guide Keats was excellent. He was friendly, helpful, patient, took photos, brought water and made us all feel comfortable. I was paddle boarding for the very first time and he is the perfect guide for beginners. Went on family vacation and wanted to hit the water one morning. We kayak at home all the time. Found Trailblaze Adventure rentals and in just a few minutes online we had scheduled a morning adventure. We had rented 4 kayaks and a paddle board. It included a life vest and whistle for each person. We brought our own dry bags. We drove to the boat launch and met Keats. He gave us a quick rundown on what to do and where it was best to go. He let us know when the tide would bring us back so it would be an easier return paddle. He helped us into the water and off we went. We had great weather and nice 12’ sit on top kayaks. Would definitely recommend Trailblaze Adventure for anyone looking to rent for a couple hours!
