1st Transmission shop put in the AOD and the setting was never set correctly, or the transmission was shipped from a third-party defective. Bob offered to help with my issue even though he could have made more money taking another full-service repair project. In the end Bob put in the warranted transmission and truck is driving perfect.Next time I will buy from Bob and use Bob to put in the transmission. This would have saved me thousands of dollars.

Ive never been treated with so much respect by a repair shop. I was somewhat tight lipped about how much I knew of my vehicles issues, and these guys were absolutely honest and thorough. Their prices are extremely fair and they dont try to rob you, which is more than you could say for most shops when you have a laundry list of repairs to be done. I will be going to them every time they have room for me in the future.

Great shop. Brought in a broken connector which is an unusual repair for any shop. Thomas, who was working the front office fixed it himself all while juggling the phone and other customers. He did a thorough job and went over the repair afterward. The shop was clean, professional and extremely timely. All the employees were knowledgeable that I encountered. Good shops are hard to find in South Florida and I know where Ill be bringing my vehicles from now on. Definitely impressed.

I’m very particular about who I take my 72 Dodge Dart to. I’m always worried that whoever I take my car to will not return her the way I dropped her off. Transmission Doctor SAVED my vacation! LITERALLY! I was last-minute checking my vehicle for an out of state trip (I was supposed to leave early the next morning towing a motorcycle to NC) when I discovered dark metallic residue on my dipstick. I dropped the pan and found it full of metal, and knew it would never make it. I had never done business with these guys before, but they were SO highly recommended by the classic and car community and from personal friends that I figured I would give them a shot.I spoke with Larry, introduced myself, and told him of my dilemma... of how my entire planned vacation depended on this vehicle. He asked me how fast i could get it over to him (it was around noon)...to which I arrived a short time later. Before I could even finish the paperwork they already had it up on the lift doing the disassembly. Later that afternoon I got a call explaining the broken internal parts, and that a few parts had to be ordered. My heart sunk a little. By mid-day the next day I received a shocking call to come get it... IT WAS COMPLETELY DONE! Holy smokes!Larry and the guys were my HEROES! They got me out of a bind. I went on my trip and everything was perfect! It was essentially a new transmission! They had also replaced my blown out motor mounts and discovered a separate issue with a seal in my 4x4 transfer-case which they fixed as well. I was in good hands!Im writing this a year later now.. many trips and tens of thousands of miles later, and my trans still performs as good as new!These guys are the REAL DEAL! True PROFESSIONALS and car guys who know their stuff! A local family business that has been around for decades with good honest REAL dedicated car people to take care of you. WOW!!! Amazing service all around!!! Bob is the man, Very patient with me while I decided what I should do With my transmission. Long story short I decided to rebuild my transmission for my 2005 ford expedition. PHENOMENAL JOB!!! I have never felt my expedition feel as responsive as it has been since the rebuild. Bob will follow up each day letting me know how it was going, which didnt take long service is fast . Very professional through out the shop. I brought my Expedition back a week later to swap my air suspension, (because it had given out. was an on going issue) to coils and they also lifted the truck, again fast service and blew my expectation out of the park!!! Grand slam! Highly recommended for any vehicle and job, they will get it done! They have definitely gained all trust and I will be going to Transmission doctor Indefinitely. I have a 2002 Dodge Caravan 3-4 years ago I had serious transmission problems. Took it there and they checked it. told me what needed to be fixed I okayed that and for 3 years no problem. Started to have a transmission problem again [the van has 165,000 miles on it] minor problems, but something that needed attention. Took it to TD and in a short time had it fixed. Now I take my van there no matter what the problem AND I recommend them to anyone who tells me they have a car problem. The are great! honest and easy to work with

HOW CAN YOU CHARGE $2600 FOR A TRANSMISSION REBUILD AND NOT REPLACE THE REAR MAIN? LAST TIME I RECOMMEND ANYONE TO THIS SHOP. WHAT A SHAME

I had a Chevy Tahoe that the transmission failed. I was very Leary about transmission shops because Ive been taken for a ride with others in the past. i researched and liked the reviews from other customers. Thomas was very pleasant and took care of my transmission quickly at a very fair price. I sold that truck and bought a Ford expedition. after a few months the transmission failed. i went back to Transmission doctor and was very please with the overhaul. Just recently i was starting to have problems with higher gear changes. Thomas told me to bring it in. come to find out there was a small leak in the pan which he covered. the problem was one of the spark plug coils was starting to fail. He suggested a new coil and spark plugs (which i have never changed.) My front brakes were needing replacement so i had that done as well. I picked up my truck and was very pleased. The next day i had new tires and an alignment. everything was working fine. the very next morning i had hard failure of another coil pack. I called Thomas and brought the car in. He had it fixed in 20 minutes and did not charge me for the repair. I have been a customer for 2 years and this is my first choice for future work! Remember some places can give you a cheaper repair but using inferior parts and work. They pride themselves on high quality at a fair price!

It’s been close to 7 years since my last visit to this shop and it was the quality, patience and workmanship that brought me back last week... I recently bought an older pick up truck (a 1997 ranger) which I’ve been slowly restoring and wanted to get the timing belt done as preventive care. I brought my truck in on a Wednesday night and Thomas said he would do his best to get it to me by Friday. Thomas called Friday and explained they had everything put together but noticed a small oil leak coming from one of seals. He called and asked if they could keep it over the weekend and I obliged. I don’t know too many shops that would do what this shop did...I didn’t expect to get the oil drips fixed but like last time they went above and beyond and wanted to do it right the first time. They even offered all my old parts back which most places don’t do and gave 12 month 12k miles on parts/labor. Clean office, friendly, honest and knowledgeable staff. Good pricing as well. I don’t normally write these but it’s not very often you get great customer service. To the owners...you got a great staff, you’ve earned my future business...keep up the great work. Thank you to all involved.6-15-18 Gotta give the transmission doctor another thumbs up for getting my truck back on the road. I had a frozen clutch pedal that wouldn’t budge....and had to have it towed in. The truck had an original clutch with 165k miles on it and it was time for a new one. The plates were fused and the slave was leaking, also a broken trans mount. The crew had the clutch kit, slave and transmission mount in the very next day. I can’t say enough about this shop, they are trustworthy and do it right the first time. If you need a great set of mechanics this is the place. While driving my car and without warning….my car jerked very hard and the check engine light came on. We immediately took it to the Hyundai dealer and they said the “machine” said I needed a transmission????? The tech gave my husband a piece of paper with actually no information on it. We thought about that for a while and called the tech at the dealer the next day. We said “what exactly is wrong with the transmission” that I need a new one? He said something about the third gear not engaging and gave us two prices, one for a used and one for a new transmission. We were not satisfied with that answer so we took it to the Transmission doctor on McNab Road. They were very nice and immediately looked under the hood (which the dealer never thought to do)!!! Thomas showed my husband a small leak that was dripping from a hose and said to bring it back the next day so he could check it out further. My husband took it in first thing and by 11:30 that same day……….my car was fixed and guess what???? NO NEW TRANSMISSION. It seems the liquid from a lose hose was dripping on the sensor and shorting it out. That was my problem. SOOOOOOO I would have spent money for a brand new transmission with the dealer only to have the same problem!!!! Can you believe that??? Thank you Thomas and all of you at Transmission Doctor. Needed transmission work and shopped around before calling Transmission Doctor They were competitive said cost would be $1590.00 I agreed to have the vehicle towed to their shop. Next day they call and say the bill for rebuilding will be $2550.00. Since it was a older vehicle I decide not to do the repair.. I ask they dont do any work on the vehicle and I will have it towed to the junk yard. They tell me I owe them $1,280.00 almost the full price they quoted for the rebuild, just for towing and inspection. They refuse to return my vehicle and inform me they are going to charge $ 100.00 per day for storage starting immediately. The police come and tell me they can not help get my vehicle back, once it is towed to their shop it is a civil court matter.

I dont even give this place a half star. Took my 5.0 mustang for a rebuild and it came out worst then when i first took the car. Brian the owner doesnt give a dam about the customer, even after i complained about them not starting on my car the day he had promise. I was charged $1500 for that crappy ass job they all did. My advice, RUN!!! run far away from this place. They will treat you like crap and wont fix a damn thing!

I would recommend Transmission Doctor to anyone who inquires !I did some research on line, read their reviews and decided thats where I wanted to go. I am very happy I did. I have an antique 2002 Chevy Astro Van, the kind most people could not be paid to drive and most mechanics hate to work with (because of the receding engine design). And in order to work with a van as such, you have to know what youre doing.Well, the professionals at Transmission Doctor know what theyre doing. They did not flinch when I took my Baby in to them. They immediately said they would check it out to see whats going on. I love my Astro, it has served me well and continue to do so. I needed an engine wash, and needed a diognosis of any leaks or problems that should be addressed. Larry and Thomas were very professional and are genuinely nice guys. They thoroughly explained what they would be doing, then informed me of everything that needed to be done after washing the engine. I was advised on the urgent issues needing immediate attention and what could be done a little later. My engine was cleaned, my oil was changed and the leak was fixed for a good price. Larry was even so kind as to offer to give me a ride to work (not far away) while my Astro was being taken of. I could tell the great difference in my Chevy after picking her up.I will absolutely be going back to get my follow up work done !

My transmission would act up once in a while but can still drive it anywhere it would make an occasional noise so I drove it to the transmission doctor where Thomas told men to leave it, Several hours later he called and told me it would cost 1800-2400 to rebulid the transmission, being that it was an old car I figured I would drive it for several months more till the transmission was too far gone and told Thomas I was going to pick up the car, and not fix it. Thomas sounded pissed off on the phone so when I got the car the reverse didnt work at all and the drive jumped bad and was no longer drivable and gears where grinding which they never did before and had to tow it back home. I believe because we didnt have the work done they ruined the transmission completely, I wish I never took it there I will never bring any car there again. Ripoffs dont use them.

Came to these guys with a transmission problem left with much more problems then i brought it in with. when i told the owner what was going on with the car after i picked it up . he tells me they never touched that part of the car and the part that i need is 500$ on top of the 260 i paid this con artist to diagnose the car. DO NOT!!!!!!!!!!!! come to this shop if someone points you in there direction go 100 miles in the opposite way.
