We had a great experience at the UPS Store #5851 on Dorchester Road in North Charleston. We were in need of having some documents notarized. They were professional and quickly serviced us while being attentive to other customers. They did an amazing job with the number of customers and their service time to each. Customers were greeted kindly but with professionalism. Thanks UPS Store for your great service.
While my son is out of state for the next year I’ve been sending him frequent care packages, and I’ve had the worst time dealing with the USPS.So, I tried UPS, specifically this branch off Dorchester Rd, and now I won’t go anywhere else. I can’t tell you how awesome it is to walk into this store totally relaxed knowing that my experience is going to be stress-free. The staff are SO GREAT - always friendly and helpful & my son’s packages have all been delivered with NO ISSUES whatsoever. I appreciate y’all so much, thank you!

There’s one woman who works behind the counter— curly hair, glasses, refuses to wear her mask over both her mouth AND nose— she is SO rude every time I’m there. Not only to myself, but to most people she helps. She is overall extremely unpleasant to interact with and unfortunately she’s there all the time. The customer service here used to be way better, but has recently gotten much worse. I would rather travel farther to a different location than to continue coming back to this UPS store.
Thank you Ashton!!!! I had gone in once and saw Ashton making a calendar for a customer and asked about it. I have been using this UPS store for years and never knew they did this. I called Ashton and asked if she could make a last minute calendar for Fathers Day, its in 3 days. She said yes, explained the process and pics needed. I told her I trusted her and just dropped off the photos and let her do the magic ( I included extra incase some didnt work). She called and let me know it was ready. SHE DID AN AMAZING JOB!!!! It is so Beautiful I cried!!!! THANK YOU ASHTON!!!!!!!! I am telling anyone I know that this girl is awesome!! Ive shown it around and she will be getting orders from others very soon, everyone loves what she created. This is by far the best gift!!

Had a couple of packages shipped from this location on a Thursday to be delivered in New Jersey on Saturday. This was fine as they contained perishable goods. Both items were scanned at the same time on the morning of the scheduled delivery. Only one package was delivered, as apparently the driver left the other package in the truck. Called UPS and they instructed me to inform the recipient to refuse the delivery of the second package and that it would be returned to the shipping location for reimbursement processing. Package was returned to the shipping location and I was called and told to come get my package. The person that I spoke to Im assuming was the owner, knew about the situation and informed me that she had exhausted all options and that my claim was refused. In ten minutes?? Really?? Called UPS again and was told to call them and have them call a hotline. Ashley answered the phone and said that the person that I spoke to earlier was on break. She then dismissively stated that we dont drive the trucks!, and that there was nothing that they could do. Not what I was told by UPS! The way that I was spoken to should not be an acceptable business practice! Very condescending and rude. Will NEVERdo business here again and will inform all that I know of who do to cease as well!
Michele and her team are fantastic! I do a lot of printing and shipping for work and they are always friendly and helpful. They take the time to make sure my orders are correct and to my exact specifications. I highly recommend them!
I came here to see whats up beacuse on the main UPS site, they do not even list this store but I knew it was here because Ive used it. Ive only been here a few times to drop off Amazon returns and they were all boxed up so no chance for issues like others stated. I have witnessed long lines, frustrated customers and fax issues while waiting. The one time I asked for a receipt, the clerk responded with a sigh but pressed all 3 buttons to print it. I need to ship an expensive gaming computer and based on the other reviews, I will just go to another store. No masks is a big issue as it tells a lot about the manager and employees lack of respect for others. The fact that the main UPS site deos not even list this store and they have replied to some of the comments apologizing to customers is concerning. Perhaps they are disowning this franchise! At any rate, its enough for me to steer clear of this place in the future.
Several trips in during Covid have all seen the staff wearing proper masks and a gross lack of concern over the health and well-being of clientele. I’ve been using other locations since and will continue.

I like the people who work here, but I will be giving my business to stores where employees care as much about my health as I do about theirs. No one wearing a mask on a day when coronavirus cases in the state hit almost 800 and are trending upward? Wont be back till the masks are on or coronavirus cases are gone.
I have had a mailbox here for many years and always do a mail-out for a contractor that we have pretty regularly. I cannot believe some of these reviews & wonder if it was different staff working there with these complaints. The owner, Michelle, Ashton, and Brad have always been very professional and personable as well. Ive never had a single issue in all of the time I have been there.
I dropped off items for shipment this past Friday (December 29, 2018). I checked the status of my delivery the following Wednesday (January 3, 2019), only to find that my tracking number had a “does not exist” status. I returned to the store to sort things out. The person I spoke with was very rude and discounting. The issue with my tracking number was she failed to print a shipping label on the day that I purchased the shipping service - this is why my tracking number had a “does not exist status.” I came to this conclusion because she printed my shipping label when I returned to the store (four days later) and my tracking status changed to “shipping label created,” which is an indication my package was at the store waiting to be delivered. Rather than offer a simple apology and state she simply forgot to print the shipping label on the day I paid for the service, she spoke to me in a rude and condescending tone in the presence of several customers. I actually had other customer approach me and state that the lady was very rude. I was so upset about my encounter I called corporate customer service and was strongly encouraged to return to the store to ensure she placed the shipping label on the correct package because she waited four days to print the label and there were several boxes in the holding area (170 to be exact) at least she yelled out this number when I asked to review the contents of my package. I was unable to review the contents of my package because by the time I returned to the store, all packages had been retrieved by a delivery person. The person helping me continued to speak to me in a rude and condescending manner, so I asked to speak to the other person working and she refused to let me deal with the other person and stated, “She is on break!” She then stated, “I have explained the process to you. I will let someone else explain it to you,” and she proceeded to call the customer service center. She was so rude when she handed me the phone that the person at the customer service center apologized immediately and stated UPS did not condone that type of behavior. The person at the customer service center told me to stop by the following morning and they would let me review my package to ensure the correct label had been attached. Before I left the store, I asked the lady for her name. She told me and then proceeded to write her name down while spelling it in a loud and slow-paced manner, to indicate I was not intelligent enough to spell it without her assistance. And to make things worse, I found out that she is the actual owner of the store. I have been a loyal customer of UPS for several years and this person’s behavior is not an adequate representation of the UPS brand. I was humiliated by this person’s behavior- but I will use this experience as an example of how I should never treat a person. I would not recommend this UPS location- please take the time to go to another location. This was by far the worse experience I have encountered with UPS. I am hopeful that my package was not mixed up with another package due to her failure to follow protocol. When a purchase is made to ship a package, the shipping label should be applied immediately to ensure there are no mix-ups.
I just received excellent service here! I needed a document notarized and copied and it had to be sent FedEx. Brett, who notarized it, went so far as to put it in an envelope for me and put the FedEx label on it so all I had to do was drop it off. This was above and beyond customer service!

So far, so good. The lady that opened my post box for me had excellent customer service.. Older lady. The guy that works there is nice enough. The other lady maybe Misunderstood. She isnt overly nice or jolly, but hell neither am I. She hadnt been rude to me, she gets the job done but she doesnt crack a smile. If I had read these comments first, I probably wouldnt have came here, but Im glad I did.

Called this facility to let them know that one of their box holders would have delayed mail as their mail was incorrectly delivered to my address. The woman I spoke with was rude, disinterested and then hung up on me. Will never do business here again and will dissuade anyone I know from using this location as well.
Why cant you give negative stars? If I could this one would rank well below zero. To be fair, the store was nice and clean - the only positive!.I needed to mail a package to my grandson in CO. Now I went online to the UPS website and calculated the price - the box weighed 7 lbs 9 ounces and was 14x14x14. According to the chart, it should have cost under $35. The USPS would have charged $25.54, but I was going to take the $10 hit because it would be delivered to my daughter instead of her having to pick it up at the PO.So I went in around 12:30 today and had the misfortune of meeting Brad. He could not have been ruder. I think they must pay him extra for the treatment. Anyway he told me it was going to be $41.24. When I asked him what the difference was he said I must not have checked the UPS website - BTW, I did and clicked the little check that said I was paying at an UPS store. When my son was signing the documents, he asked where he was supposed to put the initials to which Brad loudly exhaled and said here and here.Well I finally get a chance to sit down and send my daughter the tracking info. Well I noticed that Brad put the wrong dimensions on - he put 15x15x15. So I called and got Brad....he must have fulfilled his quota of meanness since he was decent. I explained that he put the wrong measurements on - and too my horror he said, no, my boss the owner for as long as I have been working here has told us to add an inch all around to each package. Can we say DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICE. Lest anyone think I had anything sticking up, I taped these boxes flat and will post pictures after my daughter receives it.While we all know that UPS is more expensive, unless you want to be suckered out of some more money, I suggest a ride down the street where 14x14x14 is not added upon!

My father comes to this location and ships international frequently. He is not tech savvy and he came by to make sure the package was not over or under weight and Ashley was the he spoke with. She told him with an attitude that the other employee was not there to help him. He asked her if she could look at it and she refused complaining that every time he comes in she has to do a conversion. In other words my dad is a nuisance. This is not the first time she has been rude. If my dad was able to get around a little more he would not come to this store anymore. Customer service is all about being patient & helpful. If you dont like assisting customers then do not work in a customer service field.
This UPS store does not even deserve one star. I will never go to this store for anything ever again. I was treated like trash this morning. I stopped in to get some comparative pricing and to send a box. On my way in I took a call regarding my daughter. When I got in the store, I placed my box on the center island where the pens and fax cover sheets are and finished my conversation. I even told another customer to please go ahead of my as I was still on the phone. I did not take my call up to the register. When I finished I stepped back in line. The woman then began to insult me, very loudly and aggressively to the other customers. She publicly shamed me like I was her 3 year old. When I said I could hear her, she ignored me and got even louder. So since my presence was obviously flustering her, I turned around and left with my box and mailed it through USPS. This location has zero customer service. Im sorry that my personal call offended her so much, but Im also sorry to say that my call regarding my family was way more important in that moment. I just opened an online store and Im starting to ship daily, I need help with business cards and banners. UPS will not get any of my business. I will go to FedEx or USPS for everything from now on.
I brought a piece for Amazon to be returned. I didnt have it packed. I was told by the unfriendly Clark that I needed to put it in a bag. I asked if they had a bag. Ups hands them out for free. She handed me a plastic bag, I said thank you and she watched my seal the bag. And then she said that will be 1.83 $ I was stunned. I said you shouldve told me me there was a fee. I went ahead paid her. She didnt say anything. Lousy customer service!!!!! I would I go back? No! Make sure pack you item up before you ship.
I drop off packages nearly daily here and use their pack and ship service occasionally. Always fantastic service and very nice employees. Never an issue.
All the people here are amazing !!! Love this place they are always willing to help and are usually pretty busy I wish more people would take the time to leave a good review for business instead of always leaving bad ones !
I just left the store today where I was served by a young female attendant. FYI, the next time a customer comes in to pick up a package and HAND your their ID, make sure you give it back to them the same way you received it. Do not place it on top of the item; it is discourteous.

This store has horrible service. They close at 7pm during the week but I went on Thursday 8/11/16 and they were already closed by 6:20pm. I woman who works their told customers they were closed for remodel and pointed to the sign on the door which said closed Friday 8/12/16 until the following Monday. I was confused, because Friday is the next day. Dont go here make them lose money smh..
Service is typically good. However, I recently rushed there from work one evening to discover that they closed EARLY (6:30 vs 7p) which was a major inconvenience!
I came in there to send off two packages. The young blonde female that works there is just horrible, slow, and outright stupid. Now mind you, i would NEVER call someone stupid on a review, but this girl has deserved that title. Instead of saying outloud the names and addresses, i had texted it to myself, so all she had to do was read the damn thing! 8 mistakes later, i was already seeing red and didnt realize the 2nd package, after 4 mistakes on that one, had the wrong house number on it. When i was notified about this (luckily the receiver knows her neighbors well) i called UPS and they transferred me back to her. Simply explaining that it was delivered to the wrong address, and that customer service transferred me to that specific store, she kept telling me i had to call the 800 # or call the store i went to. Well, trying to tell her that they transferred me to that store and that i am speaking to someone from THAT store, she gave me an attitude and honestly couldnt have been more dumb than before. I realized it was her i was speaking to and asked to speak with someone else. She asked why and i just told her shes too dumb to comprehend anything and that shes the reason why im in this situation to begin with. DONT GO THERE! FedEx your packages if you want great customer service with no worries on if its going to be delivered!!!!

Ended up waiting 45mins for our fax conformation, than it cost me $20 to fax 20 pages?! Than to make matters worse the employees were literally smoking in the back of the store which caused the whole store to stink. Please do yourself a favor and never come here.

If I could give less stars I would. This store closes earlier than posted hours. Very upsetting after changing your schedule to be sure you make it before close and then finding the store locked up and dark.
Basically I came down to have a fax sent but it was sensitive documents as I handed my paper to the woman she turns her back and then puts the cover letter and then starts to read my other papers, taking her time on each page as it goes through not placing the papers on fast enough so the fax stopped A co-worker comes by and said all youre doing the fax wrong and then he looks at the paper to I said oh its a Comcast thing so basically I feel like my privacy is being invaded But at the end of the day this is how youre treated at a place that takes no respect for your information nor you.

They overcharge to fax. I went to fax something and was never told how much it cost but for 3 pages it cost $6. Outrageous. Dont go here for your faxes
