Geralds Tire is the best place to go for new and used tires. They also do great brakes, oil changes, and front end alignments. I always go to Geralds Tires for my car needs and they have so many locations.

I had a slow leak in my back left tire. Gerald’s got it fixed super fast for me and patched it free of charge! Keith at the front desk was really friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

They are so honest! At first glance it looked like I needed a new tire bc of the nail puncture. A new tire was ordered. When it came time to switch out the tires, they gave mine a closer look and discovered it could be patched and save me a couple hundred dollars! They could have easily put the new one on, charged me(After all they had the new tire) and I would have never known! I REALLY appreciate your honesty!Thank so much!

I bought my car there for a noise I hear when turn my wheel turn out it was my ball joint that needed to be replaced but instead he told me that it was rust on my brakes that cause that noise I paid $397 to have other parts replaced he said that he recommended that can also be making that noise well I took my car to another place and they told me my ball joints needed to be replaced and none of the rest of the things that Geralds recommended needed to be replaced so Im out $397 because Geralds mechanic decide to say he recommended that I change certain parts that could be making that noise. Well I replace it and guess what the car still made that same noise came back to Geralds they sprayed lubricant on my ball joints instead of replacing it no I dont recommend gerlds to nobody I spoke with Jared and he was very kind but he was the one that fixed my vehicle. For one I take all my vehicles to Geralds and for them to actually take my money and play with me I wouldnt recommend nobody to go back there especially a woman. Tire issues yeah but front end car no take it to somebody like pep boys or someone who has a mobile front end guy mechanic

Went in to have a tire swapped from a damaged wheel to a new one - they got me in and out quickly even while being busy. Everyone was very friendly and professional. 10/10 would recommend to a friend!

Ill be fair, the staff is really nice and kind. BUT we waited almost 3 hours before the one tire we needed changed got changed. And only because my mother in law got upset with them because of the wait time did we get the tire changed. Their kindness is what saved me from giving them 1 star.

I checked my front end components before Iwent in for a wheel alingment all ws good .I waited 1.5 hours to have my car go in the aling. bay a few minutes later the tech came and told me my tie rod ends on the right side need to be replaced due to excesive play and at that point I should replace the left side also.I declined and went to my garage and checked my front end again not one bit of play in any component, the tech lied and was trying to sell me parts and service I did not need, he wasnt happy that the alingment would have been $100.00 for 20 minutes work

I would like to give a shout out to a young man by the name of Adam for the exceptional service I received yesterday 2/2/21 on such a cold afternoon.I needed to get my two front tires replaced due to a nail in one and both being being terribly worn. He quickly moved the rear tires to the front as requested and had the worn front tires replaced while working quickly and efficiently with the other guys on staff.He was super courteous and really tried to do a great job while being extremely thorough. I was was there less than a hour.I have been coming to Geralds now for twenty years and I am always amazed how friendly, honest, and hard working the staff of young men are. It truly is always a great day at Geralds!

My car was making noise thought it was serpentine belt and pulley, but after they thoroughly looked it over noise coming from engine, have to take to dealership. They did not charge me anything to look over car. I had brakes replaced end of last year, great service!!!!

This is the worst place to go to if you’re an African American I waited for 3 hours to get a wheel alignment and they had other people come behind which were white and they got service before I did. So I just left without the Alignment. The guy behind the desk was just eating sandwiches and drinking coffee so I’ll never go back to that f_ _ king place again

ATTN 4WD vehicle owners. This shop is like a lot of places that sell tires. If one of your tires is not repairable they will refuse to sell you just one tire. They will insist on selling you a full set of four. The only car professions who give this kind of advice are the ones whose primary business is selling tires. The tire salesman says that anything short of a new set of tires will ruin the transmission, but the regular mechanic will tell you thats BS. So keep that in mind.Other than that, these guys are great. Amazingly efficient and professional. So five stars except for the 4wd issue.

The hardest, most diligent and happy workers around. Changed my tires in hard rain at 40°! Hands down, best service in Charleston. Price was also the best after my 4 hours of searching around and calling. Give them a call and let them do what they do best.

I replaced all four tires as I had 51,000 miles on my tires and one tire was completely bad. They gave me the price of one tire, two tires as that was a savings and a price for four tires. They told me all four tires were worn and I absolutely needed to purchase one new tire. I like all four to be near the same in tire tread and I was 11,000 miles over the 40,000 mile estimate on my current tires. They gave me a good price on all four for 60,000 mile tires, so i will be back to buy four more at the 100,000 or 110,000 mile mark. I have been to Geralds for small leaks and they repair those fast and keep my tires going usually for the normal life of the tire.They are very busy so I had to make an appointment when I came in at 1:00 in the afternoon and I was able to do that as it was not an emergency. I feel they are honest in assessing the wear and damage to the tires as it matches my own estimation.Geralds is my go to for tires. I use other places for other car repairs.

I brought my 911 in to patch a tire. The manager was very kind and great to talk to. I felt extremely at ease instantly like it would be done correctly. It was. It was fast service and great. Geralds has been around before I was born probably but they’re definitely an honest place in the tricounty area.

I had a flat all of a sudden late afternoon and drive straight to Gerald’s and they helped me out with getting nail out of my tire and didn’t even charge me.I have an electric car and they did all that was required to make sure the battery was not damaged when lifting the car. I even received a beautiful rose. It was really nice to be taken care of when in a bind. I will be back.

Saturday 9/26/20 I arrived early & by the time they opened 25+ people were In line.Each person received excellent care. The staff worked very well together.They gave me a quote for a Heater Motor (much less than the dealer who told me most of the cost was labor to get to said part!)When my car was done I was not charged!! The Motor Connection had come loose and they reconnected it!!I had been out of work a few months and this was a God Send!Thank You All Sooooooo Much 👍🏻💖

Went to Gerald’s told them I was hearing a noise on the front end. Told them I thought it may be motor mounts but I wasn’t sure if they could please check it out. Left my car there for hours they finally gave me a call saying that my motor mounts are bad should they go ahead and repair? After giving them permission for the repair and it was all done. They gave me a call back saying my car was still making the same noise and it’s the CV joints and it would cost me another $375 to repair. I was still responsible $320 for the motor mounts that had nothing to do with the noise I was hearing under the front end. As professional mechanics I expected them to be able to diagnose the problem and get it repaired the first time not charge me for a guessing game. After my disappointment with Gerald’s I later went to another facility about the noise. They told me there was nothing wrong with my CV joints. Made an adjustment to something I cannot remember the name of and without replacing anything or charging anything I was on my way with no noise and grateful that I did not pay them $375 to rip me off. Shame on you!

I will never come here again. I am really surprised that their average review is so high. I bought four new Cooper tires from them within the last year and each of them have had to be patched multiple times. Either they dont know how to patch tires correctly or they are selling bad tires. Not to mention the poor work conditions for their employees. I got my newest tire patched 4 days ago and just went to go to work and its flat again. I do not know anyone else who has had as many tire issues as I have had since I have gone to this place it is truly unbelievable. This weekend Im buying 4 new tires from Costco and if I continue having tire misfortune Ill come back and delete this review but I highly doubt that will be the case.

We had been having an issue with a slow leak on one of our tires. Took it in today to Geralds on Rivers Ave. Geovanni and Jonathan was so nice and resolved the tire stem issue quickly. I have never had a problem with the Mt. Pleasant shop. I gave 4 stars as a joke really. I have been trying to get them to install Nitrogen in my new cars tires since I got it at the end of December 2019. Try as I may, the Nitrogen tank is empty when I show up. Love the folks there and will keep trying!!! They are the best!

I have been a dedicated customer of Geralds since moving to Charleston in 1993. I enjoy the warm reception I receive on arrival and the quick offer of assistance. My most recent experience was to have a slow leak checked out on the original tires on my 3 year old car. The leak was repaired with a smile and I was sent on my way in short order! I will be back in the near future to have my tires replaced and look forward to the visit!!

I went by there for a low tire. Found out that it wasnt leaking. They checked and aired up all four tires. No charge! Weeeeee, just havin fun!

Sad excuse for human beings working here and terrible service. My girlfriend and I were nearly 20 miles away from home and had a tire flat that we desperately needed changed, and all they could tell us was theres nothing I can do thankfully Pep Boys down the road was more than accommodating & sympathetic. The lack of humans decency at this location was enough to steer me away from Geralds entirely. And I genuinely hope that if the staff there are in a similar situation, that they will be treated with my sympathy than they gave us.A 1 star is far too generous to be honest. And granted I understand it was about a half hour before closing and they must have been tired, but it says a lot when you cant help out someone in desperate need of a replacement just to get home.

Never been here before, but my 1st experience was definitely worth 5 stars. The entire staff was very courteous and polite. The waiting room is comfortable with good seats, TV and vending machines. The managers in charge seemed to be very knowledgeable about the business. 👍

You always feel well-taken care of at Geralds. They work fast but because there is usually a crowd there, you will still have to wait an hour or two. It is my go-to tire store.

I am always impressed with the courtesy and patience shown by each and every customer contact employee at Geralds. Your staff could teach lessons to most of the young people around the Charleston area. My friend went there with a bubble in her left front tire which was under warranty and was told they would not repair or replace it under warranty because she hit a curb ... We dont drive on the left side of the road... She did not hot a curb and they just didnt want to do the work. She has been a customer there for over 20 years and was so frightened that they let her leave without fixing the problem. She ended up going to Discount Tires and after explaining what she just went through, they fixed her up good. Geralds has not only lost her business, but mine as well and Ive been a Geralds customer since 1996. She made a review but for some reason its not showing. So disappointed. What happened to Geralds tires always taken care of female customers??

I was barely out of my car when a tech approached me asking how he could help. They had me all set in less than 10 minutes. No hassle, no pressure to do extra things - just what I needed. I cant tell you how much I appreciate the quick, easy, friendly service. Definitely not your every day car shop. You guys are the best!

Been coming to this Geralds for years.....The customer service has fallen off....And no longer do these boys have any hustle....I have been here for an hour. For just a flat repair...my tire has been off the car for over 40 minutes....But still no one has touched it...Couple years back I would have already driven away...This is not the Geralds it used to be...Yall shouldnt have ran all your good employees off...

John C went out of his way to help my husband who in a jam and needed a tire same day. Because it was late in the afternoon and their warehouse was no longer making deliveries, John personally took his own vehicle TWICE to the warehouse to personally pick up the tire needed for my husband’s car. He had to go twice because the first time my husband inadvertently gave him the wrong tire size. John was the ultimate professional, went way above and beyond, and wouldn’t even accept a tip. It was my husband’s first time going here, and John earned a customer for life.

I went there this morning and waited over two hours for two tires to be put on.The staff was not friendly at all.They had me pull my car up and took tires off and then waited on another person that came after me.I have did busy with different Geralds before and was always treated great.When I spoke to manager, he showed no remorse at all.He was not caring about his staff action.I will not do business at this location no more.

We have done our tire buying at Geralds since they opened in Mt. Pleasant. Their service is the best in the Low Country, bar none! We recently bought a new set of Michelin tires for our SUV, fantastic price, as usual. If the rating had 10 stars, we would give them that rating!

I havent lived in Charleston for 10 years now. Thankfully my work and/or routing brings me back for 8 to 10 weeks per year. I plan my trips to purchase or rotate my tires at Geralds when in Charleston. It may not be the most convenient, but it is the most satisfying.Once again, I travel extensively and largely by driving. I am very particular about my my tire management!!In the past I have tried other tire stores, but the service and expertise does not come close to Geralds. Thanks a lot guys/girls. HaThey are professional and very attentive, from the front desk personnel to the technicians and management.Geralds is not just a great tire store, but a great business in general. You just dont find this kind of professionalism and integrity anymore!For those reasons, I take the time to plan my trips accordingly.

In my experience the hardest thing to find is service people who are both knowledgeable, pleasant and honest. I think the name of these businesses it should be Geralds honest and fair
