As it turns out - McCalls Supply, Inc. doesnt want to do business with me because I havent paid a fee to the local government for a meaningless piece of paper. Im not a contractor and I dont want to be one, and I dont need a contractor either. McCalls has decided that they only do business with licensed contractors - they even refuse to tell the mundanes what the prices are. I assume its a privately owned business, so they can do what ever shady & dishonest stuff they want in order to help prop up the price gouging of licensed contractors - I wont participate and I will never do business with anyone that sources materials from McCalls. I can buy just about anything theyve got at McCalls at a place over on Dorchester, and if they dont have it - Ill order it on line. If your contractor does business with McCalls - theyre probably gouging you on the price, so be warned.
