David, the service tech, is very professional. He explained everything and replaced / repaired the needs of the dryer. This was a yearly preventative check. He was the tech as last year,. He was training an other technician, bother were professional and friendly.

I Didnt schedule a Preventive Maintenance appointment for my compactor but I was here at the time 8:00-12:00 on 1/22/2021. Was not contacted for a confirmation that they were coming. Other than an email on 1/20/2021, confirming that we had scheduled an Preventive Maintenance for 1/22/2021. No one called, texted to confirm the appointment day before or day of. No one came and no service was done.

The 3 stars has nothing to do w/the technician. He was great, however, the problem STILL HAS NOT BEEN FIXED. The ice maker is still leaking after 4 technicians. We are very disappointed that this cannot be resolved.

This repairman seemed more knowledgeable than the last one called for the same problem. He made a quick diagnosis based on the information we provided about the problem, verified it by testing the suspect part, replaced the part, retested and was gone. The refrigerator has worked flawlessly since then. Good job. Just what we used to expect from service people, but has become noteworthy instead of the norm.

Due to the hurricane, my a/c unit went out (again). It actually goes out about twice a year so stay away from Kenmore if you are not thinking about purchasing a warranty!!! It took a week in a half to have everything ordered and our last technician was awesome and I hope he gets recognized! They were a little slow on getting out but I understand that was because of the storm. Thanks again and Im sure we will be calling you guys again!

We had just had the ac unit repaired 6 weeks earlier for the same problem. The first technician did not ground the motor which is probably why it failed so quickly and had to be replaced again.When we made the appointment, the customer service rep stated he would put us down for the first call of the day so that we could keep a doctors appointment that we had made weeks earlier. On the day of the appointment, the automated system said that we would receive service between 8am - 12 pm. The tech called us around 9 am and said he would be here by 11 am. At 11:30 I checked the automated system again, and it then said our appointment window was 8:45 am - 12:45 pm. I called customer service and was told the tech was on his way and would be here by noon. At 12:15 pm the tech called and said he would be here within an hour. We explained that we were promised the first appointment of the day so that we could keep our doctors appointment. We would have cancelled the doctors appointment had we not been assured that the technician would come first thing and we would be able to make our appointment. The technician finally arrived at our house at 12:45 pm. He was able to determine that the compressor motor was not working. We told him we had just had that same part replaced 6 weeks earlier by a Sears Technician. He pointed out that is was not grounded and had probably gotten struck by lightning, since we had been having severe thunderstorms. He was able to make the repair fairly quickly and left our house by 1:30 pm. We rushed to the doctors office and still made our 2 pm Doctors Appointment. I just feel that the Service Rep should not have assured us the first appointment of the day, if he could not deliver that. According to the technician, the service reps know that the schedule is done daily based on the location of the calls for that day. He said the rep can not request the first appointment and should never have promised us that. He was just telling us that to get us off the phone. I feel that is dishonest and a poor business practice.

Techs were nice and did some repairs but still have a burner that is not working and a part that does not fit. Called to let them know and they tell me they didnt order me a tray and they want me to go out and troubleshoot the grill because the order was completed. If I wanted to work on the grill myself I wouldnt have paid for the extended warranty.

After three visits for a nonworking Hot Water Heater, the unit is STILL not working. Sears FAILED to diagnose and repair the problem three times, and will not get another chance. They have Exorbitant labor costs. Six Hundred dollars wasted because Sears CANNOT diagnose its way out of a paper bag! Ill never use Sears again for any repair. In addition, they dont carry parts at all any more, so basically you have to wait a week for the part to be mailed to you.

Had an appointment time from 8-12. Spoke with the tech at 830a ask him to give me a call when he was on his way. I explained to him I had somewhere to be at 1230p. I left my home at 1205p still no call or show. Then received a call at 1230p stating the tech had just left my home and marked me as a not home. Will never call them again I cant sit around all day waiting on someone to show up late without at least calling me first.

Our refrigerator has been out of service for 70 days waiting for parts. they finally worked on it last Thursday it lasted 2 days and quit again. Now they say they cant work on it again until Jan.3 2019 meanwhile we have no refrig. again after waiting on them for 2.5 months. they refused to send someone to to check it. VERY POOR SERVICE

Technican called prior to his arrival to let me know he was on the way. Showed up on schedule exactly at 1PM.Very professional,courteous,knowledgeable. Diagnosed problem in five minutes. Repairs done in 20 minutes. He didnt leave until I was satisfied that problem was resolved to my satisfaction.

It took 2 weeks to get a technician out to fix my air. My scheduled time was from 8AM-1PM and he didnt arrive until 530PM. I never got a call saying there was a delay or when he was on the way. 20 minutes after he left it went out again. I called back and Sears could/would not do anything more than schedule me for another appt a week later. So thats 3 weeks without air.

Needed an oven repair. Two nice repairmen came out, ordered parts, fixed the oven. Well, it broke again within the 90 day guarantee window. Second Sears repairman came out to assess the situation. He pulls out some wires that had been fused/melted together from inside my oven...looked like a fire hazard...and proceeded to inform me that this was an entirely different problem than the one the original repairmen fixed and it was therefore outside of the warranty and I would have to pay for an entirely new repair. I was shocked since the melted wires he removed clearly should have been prevented by the original call. I could see if it was an entirely different part of oven or malfunctioning piece, but the melted wires just looked like the result of a sloppy original repair. I called the service desk to at least see if the subsequent repair would be covered under the 90 day, ....no help there. I mean it was a joke. Needless to say I took my business elsewhere, and it was repaired for less than the original quote and it’s been working great ever since.

There are four cap nuts holding up the motor fan on the exterior AC unit; two of the four nuts are severely rusted. Three times I have requested that they be replaced during preventive maintenance. On three separate occasions the technicians indicated that they do not carry extra cap nuts to replace the rusted nuts. They said that these nuts come with the motor. I asked what would happen when the nuts rust to the point that they cause the motor to vibrate and needs maintenance / replacement and my warranty has expired. I received no rational answer. The repairman came right on time, was efficient and professional. The ONLY thing Im bothered by is the cost. He was here about 1/2 an hour, used a couple new screws, and adjusted the freezer door. For this, I was charged $99 for the service call, and an approx. $117 (labor/parts?). I had a coupon which gave me $41 off so, with tax, my bill was $175.78. Again, the service man was not an issue. Just seems like a lot of money for a couple of screws. But the fridge is fixed, so buying a new one can be put off for now. But buyer beware and next time Ill know.

I paid almost $400.00 to repair a range rather than purchasing a new one. The Sears technician sent out said he could fix the problem of the oven not baking food (raw in center) by replacing the computer board. I ordered the part based on the fact the Sears technician said he could fix it without a doubt. After the part was replaced I called back because it was still not working, and they sent the same technician back out even though I requested a different technician. He said the range was fine and to use the broil setting on the over in order to bake my food... or to wait an hour for the oven to reach 400 temp, that was within Sears accepted perimeters. Sears refuses to reimburse me for the money I spent to this day, even though I said they could credit me the money towards purchasing a new oven from them. BEWARE!!! They will take your money and run!

Service man determined pump was bad on dish washer without checking machine. Came back week later with pump, replaced it and left. Did not run washer to check system. Pump was not the problem as machinehas same problem. This was about the 6th service call on this washer.Sears should stick to their policy, if it cant be fixed, we will replace it.How many more service calls do we need to make to get it operatingproperly.?

I am doing this survey Hoping that my review will help the Sears scheduling department improve the technicians workload,I had an appointment with an 8-12 window. The technician confirmed this at 8 am. but did not advise my placement on his schedule. After waiting 3 l/2 hours, I called to confirm that I still had an appointment, and that I had other business after 12 . My actual appointment ran from 11:45-1:30,This has been my experience with Sears for the last 20 years. I understand that due to the nature of the job, the time to complete a job is impossible to estimate, but the customers place in line could be relayed.Better communication would eliminate this scenario.The technician was courteous, conscientious and worked hard to correct problem during the appointment. I am confident that his late arrival was no fault of his own but the result of Sears overbooking his schedule.

Couldnt fix my problem with my dishwasher, then charged me twice as much as their quoted price on their site. Swiped my credit card, and it came back as a fraud charge and had to deal with my bank afterwards. Was an entire ordeal dealing with them.

Yes. They got my a/c charged. But Sears refuses to contact me regarding the improper installation of the unit even though I have talked with them many times before about it.They say send email to my private email or it will get lost in the shuffle, then they leave, and nothing happens. I call corporate and they have no clue which department to pass me to. Frustrated. Damaged ceiling / subfloor.12/28/2016 - So finally after more than 1 year and 3 service calls and countless hours on my part I get a call from Searss problem resolution partner Sedgwick starting that I must invest even more time by getting 2 repair estimates and providing photos for them to review AND that Sedgwick may, at their discretion, deny the claim. How is that for insuring customer satisfaction with installation services? Theyre essentially saying, If you dont like our product or if our installation results in damage to your home, thats ok because we already have your money.
