First time was ok, I was greeted and told a I have to wait 30 minute, so I did and have a great haircut by a lady. She gave me her card.Second time, I called to see what was the wait, they told me 10 min, so i went in, waited about 25 and had a really bad 1 hour haircut. I really didnt care about it, bad haircut happens sometimes.Third time, i had a different guy, haircut was not the best but it was better than before and took about an hour. He kept taking too many breaks in between.Fourth time, I asked what was the wait since i saw nobody waiting, they told me 30 min, I waited 1 hour and 10 min and left. It seems that those kids only care about making enough money to run out and get another Tattoo, or taking 5 minutes off to answer his friend on the phone, or changing the hip hop station or rap cause it wasnt vulgar enough.

Please for the love of god dont go there. I give it 1 star cause I cant give it 0. I have nothing else to say.

I have to say a really great barbershop from the first time I walked in until now. My first experience was very welcoming didn’t even get to take a seat before someone asking me do you have an appointment or would you like one of our barbers to take of you. So many options and they take care of you as soon as they can. Plenty of areas to seat down and be comfortable and a TV at ever corner with bottles of water if you’d like. I highly recommend this barbershop.

They offer you bottled water while you’re waiting & if you’re a walk-in like I was they try their very best to fit you in without rushing the haircut (best fade I ever gotten)! The shop itself is clean and neat (including the bathroom) I already scheduled my next appt.

I moved from Queens to West New York last summer and searched for a new barbershop on Yelp. Off The Top was a highly reviewed shop so I checked it out. It impressed me because it was very clean and organized inside. The barbers are friendly and welcoming. And they play great music. Lisa has been cutting my hair for the last year. She is consistently good. Lisa is thoughtful, considerate, and very punctual. I am very grateful to have them in the neighborhood.

I get my haircut with Lisa and shes pretty cool. She will let you know if she thinks the cut you ask for wont look good, but she is always on point. The rest of the staff are friendly and very helpful. You will definitely feel like youre with family when you first walk in and the whole time you are there.

I moved from Jersey City to North Bergen two years back and sadly had to leave my barber behind. I spend a few minutes online searching for local barber shops and even tried two. Off the top came up one day when I needed a quick fade. I called as a walk in and was greeted by a friendly voice who said to come in and ask for Lisa. I did, and am very that I did. Not only is Lisa amazing at what she does but she offers a great customer service experience. Remembering what I do for a living and talking and joking about different topics every visit. Lisa is FANTASTIC barber and is a credit to the shop. The shop itself is very clean and well maintained as well. All the barbers are very friendly and you can definitely sense a great and positive vibe. All in all i highly recommend Off The Top and any of its fine staff, with a lot of extra love thrown Lisas way.

BEST BARBERSHOP IN HUDSON COUNTY! I’ve gotten a haircut with almost every barber in off the top and never left disappointed. They go above and beyond and their customer service is unheard of in a barbershop. They offer you a bottle of water and have gotten complimentary hot towel shaves which is awesome. Amazing service! The young man who cut my sons hair (toddler) was very patient. He didnt rush and do a half done job. My husband really liked the barber who did his hair aswell. Definitely will be coming back here again. We moved from Nyc to Nj and live half an hour away from here but the trip here is so worth it!

So i went there to get my sisters hair cut, they were so nice and the barber got the style she wanted done correctly. The owner was so nice he gave her a cut for free. I don’t know if it’s because it was her first time there or because it was the day after New Years. Either way i will be back again and I’ll be spreading the word! 🙂

Awesome place ! Meli gave me a fresh cut and was super dope I highly recommend going to her. She’s friendly and funny and is very attentive. Unlike most places where they rush, and do a messed up job, she took her time and made sure I looked cleaned up before I left. Walked in, asked if anyone can cut hair like mine (nappy hair), then I basically begged them not to give me a flat top, and when my hair was all said and done, I basically left with a flat top.One of my sides was used with no guard, the other with a 1 guard.The back of my head looked RIDICULOUS.Long story short, after paying them to mess my haircut up, I had to spend another $30 bucks to have another barbershop fix my hair.They dont listen to their customers. They only doncuts that theyre used to, and comfortable doing.The 2 stars is for the location. Very cool location.

People here do not know how to cut hair. Beware! Twice with two different barbers. Complete screwups. Don’t expect a straight hairline if you go here. Also your barber won’t listen to you. Ive been looking for a BarberShop to go to since I moved to North Bergen. Found the perfect Shop and person. Freddy cut my hair exactly how I wanted, lines are very precise and he shields my eyes from the Spay-cans that BarberShop use, which most people expect you to close your eyes. Hands down the worst haircut Ive ever gotten, or half cut as after over an hour I had enough and told her to stop without finishing the top. I understand people need to learn somewhere, but thats not what I was expecting. Ill find somewhere else to finish the job .

I was looking for a barbershop in the area that dealt with beards. I made a few calls and the places I called were to expensive. I called OTTB and Alex picked up the phone, I told him what I was looking for and he said he would call me back. 15 minutes I received a phone call and Alex said I have the right person for you, Courtney. I went to OTTB soon after and I met Courtney. I told him what I wanted and he delivered. I was happy and so was my wife and girls. Now I walk in there and Courtney says What do you want to do today? My response is Youre the barber, figure it out, but dont screw up and get rid of my greys Since we met he has given me his contact number and when I text him he responds quickly and fits me into schedule, he even came in once on his day off. Thats a great barber. Went in yesterday for a haircut everyone was very friendly and accommodating. I was pretty excited because of the great reviews online. Unfortunately the barber I had had no idea how to cut my hair type. The moment he touched my head I realized he was very confused where to start even after showing him a picture of a short pompadour and explaining the same thing a few different ways. I told him to shorten the sides and leave the top after I sensed his hesitation. I also got nicked really good on one side after he used the straight razor (with only water - no shaving cream or shave gel) walked out bleeding. My entire neck and side burns were really irritated when I left as well. Pretty sure the barber was good at cutting short and curly hair but I left with a completely uneven haircut and thin side burns when I requested other wise. Not thrilled.

Its a good barber shop. I have had 3 haircuts here so far and I plan to return. The only issue I had was the last barber I had.I didnt like the haircut and and he didnt accept credit cards, debit or cash. He only accepted cashapp and Venmo. In the middle of my haircut he had to phone a friend to ask for help to my cut hair. Almost finishing my haircut he asked for help from the other barber who told him part of my haircut was uneven. The guy at the end then tried to convince me that it wasnt a big deal that it was even. Finally I felt like the guy was trying to overprice himself when he was clearly new as a barber and then all of the sudden told me he didnt accept anything but cashapp or Venmo. I dont think I even had the apps.Aside from that one experience Ive had really good experiences with this place I just now know to be more picky with who will cut my hair. I really liked the other 2 haircuts Ive had and plan on returning.

This place is phenomenal. I recommend going to Shaney. My brother came in and he has very long thick hair and a beard. He also had messy misaligned long hair from a previous barber who messed up my brothers hair. Shaney was able to trim up and even out my brothers hair. Shaney also perfected his beard where it looked natural but cleanShe’s a master with clippers and scissors.Plus the atmosphere is very homie and cozy.Everyone in there is respectful. And absolutely kind. Can’t beat the prices either. I recommend this place to anyone.
