For about 6 months they provided services with no issues- recycling and trash got picked up on time. Then the ownership of the trash pick-up changed and they stopped picking up our trash. Recycling still came on time but trash was no longer picked up. I was calling to report a missed pick-up EVERY SINGLE WEEK and sometimes, even after reporting the missed pick-up, it would still be sitting on the curb when we got home from work.Finally, I gave up all hope and called to cancel services. It took me ten tries to get through- first I would get busy signals, then it would ring and ring with no voicemail and one time I was placed on hold before I had the chance to say anything and no one ever picked up. When I finally got through to someone the woman informed me that the call volume had been well over a hundred calls since they opened that morning. I asked Is no one else getting their trash picked-up, either? She informed me that the trash disposal had changed management and they were still trying to work out the kinks. Two full months of missed pick-ups and she could not guarantee that the issue would be resolved. I was appalled.I would HIGHLY recommend that anyone considering this company take this warning to heart and choose another company instead. You will save yourself immeasurable frustration.

Were fantastic as G&C, never had to call them once in over 4 years for anything, but since the Advanced Disposal buy-out Ive had nothing but trouble. They generally do ok with the trash pick-up but since August 1st theyve missed at least 7 recycle pickups. Sometimes theyll come back out after repeated calls and e-mails and sometimes they wont. No accountability, no apologies...will definitely be hiring someone else at the end of this quarter!

After using G&C for more than several years, I now am having problems with the crew that is servicing us now. It will be a month after this Friday 5/31 to get them to pick up branches that are bundled up, I put the limit of 4 out several weeks ago, they pick up 3 out of the 4 bundles. Last week they picked up none saying they were to heavy and cheap twine is being used. I told the lady in the office that my wife even picked them up, I later said when talking to her that I carried them to the corner, she said You say your wife took them to the corner. Twist of the words. I just want the service that they talk about. Im not the only person not getting their bulk items picked up in the area.

Despite repeated phone calls (prior to their 4:00 cut off), our trash has not been picked up in a timely manner nor within several days many times in the past few months. Phone calls are not returned and trash is left standing. We no longer put recycling out because it was left every week.Sad to say, but this was a great company before they were bought out.

They come and take your trash... sometimes. Not when your trash can is super full, because its to heavy. And not when it is only partially full, because that would be a waste of energy. Also, if your scheduled pick up day lands on a holiday... you are out of luck, they wont come back until the next week.

G & C Waste Services has not picked up our recycling for well over a month. We have called several times over, with no action on their part to resolve this issue. Obviously, this company cant be bothered to service its paying customers. And, now, with the transition to Advance Disposal, our calls get bounced around. No accountability. Poor performers. So not committed to the environment. If you are looking for a new recyling / waste management provider, do not hire G & C Waste Services / Advance Disposal.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Constantly missing pick-ups. Every month at least 1 and more likely 2 times a month, I have to call to complain. And this is not the worst part-The last 2 weeks we caught them dumping our recyclables in with the regular garbage in the truck!!! This is totally unacceptable. Going to cancel our service.

It is now called advanced disposal, just called for a bulk pickup (entitled to one a week, free) it is scheduled for Saturday morning.Other then the 10 minute hold time on the phone everything seems to be fine, we will see on Saturday morning if the patio set is gone

Not worth the aggravation. Not sure why anybody would use them. All the pervious reviews apparently experience was the same as mine.

3 months in a row now, they have not picked up trash on trash day, calling every afternoon of scheduled pick up, they state will send someone, will sit till next week again... Horrible service.

G&C has the worst service. Our commercial dumpsters were left for 2 weeks without being emptied. After being cited by the borough, we contacted them and couldnt get through to an actual person. Was immediately put on hold and even hung up on. Cancelling our commercial contract today.
