I agree with the other reviewers that smile exchange staff has changed they don’t communicate with their client about any issues the staff sets you up for appointment and don’t tell you nothing they used to be good. They also have different dentists come in every visit never the same dentist each visit. I thought the last dentist I had was very rude my jaw pops he was impatient with me because I couldn’t open my mouth real wide plus my anxiety was real bad too. So they recommended me see a specialist because what I have was real bad I did but he way to expensive so I didn’t go back. All they want is for to come in and out no communication at all charge high prices! Disgraceful!!!

I had an appointment at 9am and the building looks like it’s closed. Never was told anything? Even got text confirmations about it being Friday at 9 am.

Love this place! My husband has been going here for the last 2 years and I have been since last year myself. The staff is friendly and welcoming the second you walk in. The hygienists and doctors are professional and efficient and everyone makes you feel at ease.Just yesterday we brought in our THREE toddlers (twin 3 year olds and our almost 2 year old). It was the very first time for all of them. They absolutely loved it. I was in shock honestly... I kept my expectations low since you just never know with tots! But wow. Our angel hygienist, Char, made our children so comfortable and happy. They are already asking to go back to the dentist!Thank you, Smile Exchange! We couldnt have asked for a better experience for our littles. 😁

Made an appointment for my teenage son for a cleaning. He said they took xrays and said ok you are done. No cleaning at all. No one explained anything to him. They took him out to the desk made him an appointment for later in the month and he has no idea what it is for. But he here the one tech tell receptionist something about a cavity. So he didnt get the service the appointment was for and then he was not explained to as what the next appointment is for! I will be calling the office on Monday when they reopen to find out what the heck they are doing. I have called my insurance company and told them so they are not charged for services not done. Some how I think you first visit to a dentist as a new patient should be longer then 20 mins from the time you arrive till the time you leave. I wont be recommending this office for sure!

I made the switch to Smile Exchange of Trooper after using the same family dentist for 20 years. Im so glad that I did! I had a double appointment yesterday for a deep cleaning and to have a couple cavities filled. This team is an awesome combination of extremely friendly yet very professional! Regina, the hygienist, is the most capable that Ive come across. The rest of the team including Cherry at the front desk and Janet, the dental assistant are fantastic. They are warm, friendly and truly reduce the stress level of a day at the dentist!

Waste of time. 80$ And never got a cleaning. Just went and was told I needed to pay more for all these other services. Waste of 2 hours. Very disappointed.

I found a new Dentist, Smile Exchange of Trooper!! I’ve had an exam, teeth cleaning, X-rays, filling and a crown all went very well!! Everyone at Smile Exchange has been very nice and friendly! Everything was explained to me in detail and they answered all my questions. They also have a referral program, you send someone there and you both get $50 towards anything!! They have different options for you to choose from, pay for a year or pay as you go etc...I’m very happy that this is my new Dentist office!I definitely recommend it!!!

Excellent experience. Very pleasant staff and the Drs. have Great bedside manner. Had two teeth removed and normally when you have to get numb in the roof of the mouth it hurts like hell, not for long but still extremely uncomfortable. Well my dentist had me numb without me even realizing it. Outstanding job Doctor Patel. I would recommend this office especially to family and friends.

I love the people there but when they tell you youll be there for a max of 2 hours expect to be there for at least another hour. Its frustrating when they schedule you for an hour to a 2 hour appointment and youre there over 3. Other then the long waits after youve already been taken back its a great place.

Before the appointment I spoke with Cherry who was very helpful and let me know what to expect including what obstacles I might encounter based on the information I had provided. Upon arrival they performed a COVID-19 screening and they were very responsible. Both Carmen and Dr. Patel who attended me were very pleasant and listened to my concerns and we came up with a treatment plan based on these. Previously I have been pushed into expensive treatments where there are cheaper and more time efficient alternatives by attending dentists so I appreciate the forthcoming and cooperative experience at Smile Exchange. I will be making appointments for both my children in the near future

Clean and Hygienic for sure. Be careful about the hidden costs which are not told upfront. You might go in there thinking everything is covered under your dental insurance. But they will try to add things on to your treatment without telling you the cost in advance. I am only giving 2 stars because they are not transparent and not upfront. Typical car dealership style, want to upsell services . Good people for sure but definitely bad practices.

I am ABSOLUTELY terrified of the dentist but had a situation where it was an emergency & I was terrified going in, of course started tearing up and anxiety was through the roof. And every single staff member who seen me that way, in some way comforted and made sure I was okay. I recommend Smile exchange to anyone. The ladies on staff today were amazing! To be quite honest, I was terrified walking in those door a today knowing I needed an extraction. Natalie was warm and empathetic as I walked in. My tempature was taken minutes after I walked in and was seen promptly. Carmen talked me through the process and held my hand during the procedure. Everyone worked as a team to see me in comfort and to see the extraction through. I will be heading back there in two weeks for remaining work that I need done.Thank you Smile Exchange staff for being of service during this pandemic for those of us in a different healthcare setting. Today was much needed for me. I am grateful for your hard world and service.

Char Saulino worked on me and honestly hands down she is the best and hardest working hygienist I ever paid. I went in with three cavities, a broken filling, and in need of a root canal; I am terrified of dentist offices but char made me feel safe and calm. My experience here was immaculate and I will be attending this clinic again fear-free because I know that char will be there to help me every step of the way.

Fast and affordable dentistry. Easy to schedule and they are great about reminding you about your appointment. Also great hours, each day is a bit different but they accommodate early mornings and evenings.

This is the best dental office Ive ever been to. The entire staff is so friendly, personable, and highly skilled. Additionally, Ive been able to book late appointments, which is key for me because with my job I dont have time to go during 9-5 hours. The people that work there are very nice. The office boasts state of the art equipment. They have a plan that allows patients with no dental insurance to still get good dental service.My only complaint was the x-rays. The tabs they used were so big I had difficulty closing my mouth around them and afterwards, my mouth was sore. Other than that, a very good experience. I just had my cleaning today. The dental hygienist was very thorough and very gentle I can actually say I didnt mind getting my teeth cleaned. She also gave me some great tips for better flossing.

Superior dental experience. You know you are in good hands immediately. Their attitude is not like any other dental practice I have gone to in my 55 years of life. This is a relatively new office in Norristown. I have been a patient for 2 years now. Great staff. Accepts most insurance plans and they have a reasonable one that they offer as well.

I needed to have my bottom partial repaired. The staff at Smile Exchange of Trooper made that happen for me quickly, professionally, with friendly service. I am going back next week for my 6 month cleaning. Strongly considering making this location for detail and referring my husband there for his dental care.

This place is simply amaaaaaazing. From the individuals at the front desk to the actual dental team, everyones super informative and kind. My experience at this location was just purely great hands on. The dental hygienist(Christie) who helped me was super sweet, knowledgeable, and answered all my questions and concerns in depth. All in all, I would highly recommend this location due to the affordable prices and the wonderful service I received.

The staff was very nice and the facility itself was immaculate and State of the art. However, their pricing was ASTRONOMICAL. I had 2 teeth in which fillings had broken, i was in a lot of pain. They proposed my treatment plan, according to them the cost of treatment would be $11,000. Which seemed quite high but I’m not a dentist so i gave them the benefit of the doubt. I told them that there was absolutely no way I could afford to pay that so I began to inquire about payment options and an alternate treatment plan. The hygienist then suggested me getting one root canal and a temporary filling which would still have costed me over $2000. I was in so much pain I ALMOST pulled the trigger and agreed to this option. The hygienist clearly noticed i was having trouble making a decision and became more pushy. Ultimately i decided to not have any procedures done because I just felt in my gut that something was off. I went to another dentist today to get a second opinion. I handed her the printed treatment plan from Smile exchange and her jaw almost hit the floor! They boast discounted prices on their website and advertisements but their prices were more than DOUBLE the going rate for these procedures! They told me that my root canal and temporary filling would be over $2000 and the dentist i went to today charged me $575 for the same services. I was in her office for about an hour and had my examination, X-rays, root canal and temporary filling done. I was at the smile exchange for 3 HOURS and had no services done because of their pricing. I don’t recommend this place unless you have money to burn. I could not believe how high the prices were until I went to get a second opinion. I feel that they were absolutely trying to take advantage of patients in a vulnerable position and adding unnecessary procedures to my treatment plan to maximize their profit. They weren’t interested in helping me and my situation, they were interested in making as much money as possible off of me and I’s SURE I am not the only one they have attempted to do this to.

I finally discovered a dentist where the first thing they do is put everything in black and white on paper with dollar amounts. This alone allows you to manage your budget as well as set expectations for yourself. You always know the plan.I always had issues when if I needed to set up an appointment outside of my normal dentist office, for example with an oral surgeon. Smile Exchange does everything, cleaning, scaling, extractions, implants, etc. I never understood why I had to go out of my comfort zone and go to a second dentist who I might see once or twice.The Doctor, Assistant, Hygenist and office manager. Many people make excuses, have dental fear, never understand what the doctor is doing...at Smile Exchange of Trooper you will never think or feel that way again. Awesome. Awesome, AWESOME!!!

I am normally very fearful of the dentist. These ladies put me at ease and even made me laugh. I have been putting off necessary treatment and I finally made the commitment to go forward with my dental work. Such a great group and looking forward to getting the best treatment.

I got nine teeth taken out today(JUNE 27) my appointment was for 12:30 and I was in the chair at 12:35 out by 2 pm didnt feel a thing but pressure and still no pain and its now 8:45 pm wow l love and recommend SMILE EXCHANGE cant wait for the end results

Went there needing a new crown to replace a chipped or broken one. They charged me a $157.00 to tell me it was going to be $1874.00 to fix the crown. Cut my losses and left.

This place is great everyone is super friendly and they do fantastic work. I recommend them to everyone.

I called 24 hours prior to cancel my appointment because I have to work and they want to charge me $50 because it is not 48 hours notice. I asked if I would still be charged if I rescheduled & they said yes. I was not aware of this policy when they called to confirm my appointment. I think that is ridiculous and I will no longer be back.

I have some pretty bad anxiety when it comes to going to the dentist. So much that it had been quite some time since I had been to one. A chipped tooth that had an existing filling it forced my hand into going to the dentist. Overall the experience was great! The women in the office make you feel welcome and talk you through everything they are doing. Needless to say I definitely will be returning for a cleaning later this year to stay on top of my oral health. I would highly recommend The Smile Exchange in Trooper/Norristown for anyone that has a fear or pretty bad anxiety about going to the dentist!!!
