I can not say enough about the staff at Iggys. They have and will always be the only place I go for exhaust work. Iggys is the best.

When I came in with in 10 minutes of me being there a gentleman by the name of Pete asks for my keys and pulls my 85 impala in. 10 minutes later they have me come to the back to show how I want my muffler tips to sit. It took a couple of hours but it was a custom job. The gentleman (Danny) who did my exhaust was amazing literally pulled the image from my mind and made it real.Awesome shop will be returning.

Great work on my 2002 Volvo s80. Other mechanics said sell it . they fixed it and did a great job. Center catalytic converter and fuel injector work. Great price for that much work. They saved my car.

Unpleasant visit.The manager (grumpy by the way) I went to him asking if the resonator could be soldered, out of a bad mood he replied no, I asked him how much it would cost to replace it, he told me 250 more labor. Ok I said, do You have a pen to write down the quote? I told him, again in a bad mood he threw the pen at me. I left the place very upset and went to LOWES to buy a paste to sold metal, for only 6 dollars I repaired (in the short term) my resonator and to date it has not been reopened. Greetings and beware of people who just want to change things instead of looking for a cheap solution.

I trust of this company for years so I came to replace muffler and a flange.Couple hours after work was done check engine light came on they said they had nothing to do with their work.So I took it to the Toyota dealer the Friday oxygen sensor when do use electrical welder the current kill the oxygen sensor because they never disconnected the battery so now I’m out another $200 for people that I trust it I guess technicians change I will not use this business again

Honest as they come! Went in for squeaking brakes. They replaced the brakes and rotors the next day and my car was ready for pick up. The price was very fair and they called me an hour before my car was ready for pick up. I will definitely keep Iggy’s in mind if my vehicle should need any future work.

Ive been going to Iggys since the later 70s. I moved to the far N.W. suburbs in Dec. 07, and still drive over 35mi to Iggys because theyre HONEST and very good! Mike, Pete, and Fred are straight to the point, and will NOT rip you off. They do everything from engine rebuilds to fixing your power window motors. And if youre looking for exhaust work this is the place to go because they custom build exhaust systems and have been doing it for decades.

Great Auto and truck repair shop. Have been going hear for 40 years. They used to have a shop on Harlem but have everything in one place on montrose just west of Harlem now. Theyre reasonable and do good work, can get you towed if need be too.

Walked in for a repair. Had read good reviews and all were accurate. Service was quick and to the point. In and out in a few hours. Dealer wanted 1500. Paid 140 for the same repair. Although, the dealer did recommend I bring my car to an independent shop for these repairs. So cudos to the dealer also.

Called 4 days straight, was told were sooo busy, please hold I hung up after 5 mins on hold all 4 days. I guess theyre too busy to take on new customers. Or they really need to hire some extra help for incoming calls. Well just bring the car in one may say but when you need exhaust work done on 4 cars some light work done and some custom its hard to have faith in a place that cant even manage their phone lines.

I had most of my automotive work done by Iggys when I I lived in the neighborhood. Great place. I still suggest this place to people today.

Its really the go to place to get your exhaust fixed, or get custom exhaust done.My one gripe however... I once came here after my exhaust piped rotted out. They changed the piping out but decreased the diameter. I noticed as soon as I turned it on. After waiting 3 hours I really didnt want to go in and fight about it, as I was going to tell the car anyways.

I have been coming to Iggys since the mid 80s for custom exhaust work and brakes. I just had a flowmaster cat back system installed on my dodge truck. In and out in less than 3 hours. Iggys, the best not just in the city, not just in the state but the best in the midwest! I will take my cars and pickup truck there to get fixed anytime. The wait might be long but who cares. You come driving out of there like youre Don Garlits and in a new fuel rail dragster. Amazing work on installing headers and custom exhaust systems. I will bring my 94 Chevy Caprice in again, this time the optispark distributor went out. I only trust these guys to do it and get her running again. The prices? They work with you on price. You wont leave out broke and in a fixed car. Theyre friendly, good mechanics and staff. If you want stainless steel exhaust for a 68 Chevy Impala SS 427 or a regular brake work for a 2002 Dodge Caravan or replacing power steering pump in a 2010 Toyota, or installing a engine in a 1995 Chevy Impala SS, they got ya.

Good mechanics but super busy, long wait

Ive (WEVE) been using Iggys for years. As much a Norridge institution as a car shop, its gritty, honest and knows cars. They rebuilt my Corolla after a flood a few years ago. Found a matching engine with low mileage and called me on it like it was the greatest thing, and it was. Never ran this great!My wifes older Mazda Tribute had the lights in the dash go out. It took a LOT of digging, and some kid there found the short, pulled the board and fixed it for much less than the cost of ordering it replaced (and discontinued).Ask questions; get advice. not always smilin and civil, but real. Ive never, ever heard of anybody getting screwed by Iggys. I knew when the village wanted to put the screws to them to clean up or move and supporters came out to save them. THAT is how cool this is. No body work, but they know the guy down Harlem wholl do it (used em myself).If its a warm day and the lots accomodating, look around for any vintage cars. I did a lot of dreaming over some rusting finds there. This is where locals go to get it done and sometimes sit around to chat. Wont get any more real than this, kid.Feel confident that a young lady can go here and get work done honestly. Just, ya know, dont expect a classy showroom. If you need coffee and a snack, the librarys up the street (Oketo) with a working bakery/sandwich/coffee shop with wifi.
