Bob Carters enthusiasm for his profession, and sharing as much knowledge of that profession as possible, was absolutely amazing. I learned more in three hours than I have from weeks worth of research. If you are considering Voice Over work, character acting, or even just looking for a voice coach, this is the studio to begin that journey.

Not only did he make it fun and deliver a great experience in the studio but Bob knows the ins and outs of every aspect of the business. Highly informative and would highly recommend trying out for anyone who has ever thought about it. I am planning to continue learning through the cycle workshops he provides as well. I am really enjoying my voiceover journey and look forward to keeping the momentum going at the Neighborhood Studio. I started off by doing the Beginners Voiceover Workshop and was hooked ever since because Bob Carter didnt try to sell me on his services. He showed me and the others with his knowledge, skills, and work history. Yes, he is currently a working voiceover actor and his former students are currently booking jobs. He also didnt guarantee employment and stressed that development is a marathon and not a sprint meaning you have to put in the work to learn and to master your craft. This is not easy and you have to want to become better and you have to learn how to market your business. Bob also shows you the basic of how to market your business and how to craft your letter. You can really tell that Bob and his wife, September Day took the time to make a great introductory program because it really does include everything a new talent needs to get started. He even shows you what equipment to get and where to record at home on a budget and supplies the websites and links. Currently, I have completed two cycles of his three cycles of voiceover classes. Each cycle is three classes. I start my third cycle in June. Yes, I bought the whole enchilada because I could see my growth after the first cycle but more importantly, so could my wife and my peers. I still have a long ways to go but I am loving every minute of it because Bob makes it fun. Bobs resume is deep like the Grand Canyon because he took his craft seriously and it shows. So, visit his website and signup for a class or two and put in the work. Ill shut up now. No Bob has not paid me but he has coached and taught me well and this is just the beginning!!!! Enjoyed my time with Mr. Carter this past summer in learning about the art of voice over work. Very insightful, very inspiring, and a very fun experience. I always wanted to learn this since I was a kid. This is highly recommended. I look forward to more sessions in the very near future.

His coaching skills are amazing. He gives clear direction paired with honest feedback, all while maintaining a comfortable learning environment. The Neighborhood Studio has a lot to offer, and Im really happy to have gotten to watch it grow over the past few months! They offer yoga classes, voice acting/editing lessons, and I think Ive also heard them talk about self defense classes! There is a ton to do there, and they often try doing open houses to give people a feeling for the place. Both of the Carters are amazing people, so I definitely recommend checking them out!

Bob and his wife, September, do a fantastic job with their little studio. I recently went in for their voice over intro workshop and despite my nearly 6hr round trip to drive there, it was well worth it. I learned a lot, despite having done a lot of research of my own, and Bobs experience in the industry gives you a good, realistic outlook on things. If youre looking to pursue this field, Id absolutely recommend his workshop!

Highly recommend going here if interested in doing voice-over work. I went to the introductory voiceover Workshop this past Saturday. I learned everything I wanted plus more. Bob and September give you all the details and probably more than a lot of people will tell you about getting into the business. Also a bonus, is the comfortable atmosphere of the studio. Just being there for the one day you leave feeling like you just been hanging out with a long time friend or family.

Just finished the Voice Over Vigilante Beginners Workshop. It was fantastic! Gave a very realistic view of what to expect while getting started. Learned several things that I would have overlooked on my own. Also gave me a great gameplan and direction on how to get started with everthing from equipment requirements to types of Voice over gigs to pursue first. Bob and September are Great instructors with the patience and personality of true professionals.
