Rude employee. She wanted to charge me priority because of my package, and then when I asked where on my package it said priority mail, she then said dont argue with me. I said I am not arguing with you, I am asking a question. She then said I wanted to argue but all I wanted was more information about why she wanted to charge me priority mail. After the problem was fixed, she threw my package all the way across the room in the bin after the postage was on it. Definitely never returning here.

It is good for the nerves of the people who work there, that they seem oblivious to the lines and to the ridiculous wait. No matter what, they keep the same pace, and breaks are taken at any time. Nothing phases them. Again, good for them.

Monday morning, 10:00 am, Christmas season, line is snaking around the lobby. Only one clerk working. Almost all the label holders were empty, so customers couldnt even speed up the process by helping themselves and having a label filled out ahead of time. I waited over half an hour to mail my package. Next time I should just go to the UPS or FedEx store instead.

The Niles IL post office is terrible. For the last two days-10/05/2020 & 10/06/2020, I have received NO MAIL, yet USPS tracking shows TWO packages as being delivered-left at the mail box. Informed Delivery shows that 17 pieces of mail should have been delivered, I received NONE. THIS IS UNACCEPTIBLE

It definitely ruined our day we try not to let stuff like that get us but how can u have the worst attitude working with customers.

Do not whatever you do mail anything from the niles post office.NOBODY THERE CAN READ MY MAIL WINDS UP EVERYWHERE BUT HERE. THEY DELIVER PACKAGES BELONGING TO OTHERS TO ME. THEY DRIVE OFF AND PACKAGE FALLS OUT OF TRUCK. WHEN THEY GET MAIL FROM OUTSIDE DROP BOX THEY LEAVE SOME ON SIDEWALK. I GET MY MAIL SENT BACK SHREDDED IN A PLASTIC BAG. IF I SAY ANYTHING THEY PLAY THE RACE CARD. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE

The employees customer service skills could use some improvement. The woman asked me what was inside the package, which she doesnt need to know specifically, and when I questioned the price she said, do you want to mail it or not in a rather rude fashion. Id advise taking your service elsewhere.

It usually takes a lot to break me, but I am sad to say that it happened here, today, at my local us post office. I came back from vacation last week but never received my held mail. I wasnt too concerned as I figured surely the US Post Office would keep my mail safe, as they promised to and as is the law. How naive I was. Not only is my mail lost, gone, kaput, they had the nerve to tell me it was delivered to me. I explained that I did not receive it, and all I got was a shrug of the shoulders, oh well, it was delivered. Really? To whom??? As I was starting to freak out, the supervisor walked off, LAUGHING! Her hideous cackling will haunt me for days. Do not trust these people. They broke me, please dont let them do the same to you.

I thought that I would post a positive review to help offset the bad ones. I really haven’t had too many, if any, bad experiences at this post office. Going to the post office isn’t supposed to be the most excited thing in the world. I do not understand why people have such high expectations.

Absolutely the worst. Just recieved checks and a utility billthat were lost for over a year all magically showing up at my p.o box at the same time. Customer service rep completely useless. No explanation whatsoever on why this keeps happenimg.(also happened two years back) and then questioned if it happened, why I didnt report it on the Saturday where the line was out the door. If you want anything to get to its destination, avoid this post office at ALL COSTS!.So here we are over two years later and this is still the worst post office in the area. I get my utility Bills felivered into p.o box either the day they are due OR already past the due date. Well done, people. Ive never seem more incompetent employees in my life.

If I could give this post office zero stars I would. Terrible service. Anytime I go to buy stamps or drop off a package there is a huge line moving super slow. I stop in this office only when absolutely necessary and there is always a problem. That may be why they always have lines! Rude clerks that cannot even explain the “rules” they are following so closely.

Worst customer service. Mailed a package to the east coast and it was lost. When I called they were clueless and could care less. Finally tracked info months later and it said it was delivered, TO ME on the same date I mailed it, it wasn’t . No accountability at all.Would never use this location, the workers are the slowest, they walk out and make you wait they don’t care how many customers are waiting. They purposely work slow and walk slower. I only use UPS now.

Less than one star.do not mail letters here. I have been receiving other peoples mail for years. I have complained to the idiot that runs the niles post office for years. I have observed mail carrier drop mail in street and drive off. I have seen mail carrier drop letter out of post office box at drive up and walk off leaving it on the side walk. I have complained, complained, complained. All to no use. I drive to Morton grove to mail my stuff. Everyone working in this niles branch should be FIRED. they cant read, write, or understand English. GO TO ANOTHER POST OFFICE.

For all the non Niles & Morton Grove residents, if you do not look hard or do not have a GPS you just might miss this USPS location because of its location. If you are like me and drive the Oakton St route you will see it once you come upon Clarence E Culver High School & Niles Village Hall, which it sits directly behind Niles Village Hall.I seem to visit this USPS when it is at its most peaceful times. And it tends to be my last minute weekend life saver when I need to ship ebay items on the weekend due to my work hours, and due to the hours this location is open compared to others throughout Chicago/Chicagoland.I knock on wood when I say this, but I have not had any issues with the clerks nor issues with any of my shippings that I have shipped from this location. My visits are rare, but thats because of timing which makes it more of a last minute resort for me, however best believe I do not mind shipping items out of this location when Im in route to work on the weekends.Thomas G

We do not get our mail. I am at home waiting for the mail man because I have a broken leg. Yesterday I have a letter in the box that is a return to sender because it is not ours, we are waiting for credit card billings and car payment billings. Not only did I not see a postal worker all day, and I watched out my window All Day, but a postal van pulls in my driveway and then goes next door to get a cert letter signed, ignores that there is a letter hanging out of my box and leaves, drives away. Never did we get any mail yesterday.

6977 Oakton St, Niles, IL - I cannot even describe how I was upset when I received back my return that was send by mail back within 2 weeks. I checked the address where it was send and call the IRS to verify one more time and no different address as Post Office stamps on envelope with Red Stamp “not delivered because is no address to be delivered”. I still keep this in my file with wasted stamps and would like to put on you tube, isn’t funny. If I have passed the IRS time and they will charge penalties and who will be responsible for this mistake?I would like to get an answer from Corporate office how they hired careless people. When I went to Rolling Meadows Post office and ask if this can be delivered and add new stamps to the new envelope, because I do not have much time left and at 6977 Oakton St, Niles, IL they reject this letter. The post officer from Rolling Meadows was surprised and told me this is correct address and they made a mistake.Be careful with this location, because people not responsible and will make problems to send out important packages or letters especially to IRS.

The problem with Chicagoland USPS is customer service. They hire brainwashed people (most of them from Asia). 90% of all USPS employees in Chicagoland would have been fired from private sector because they are LAZY. Niles is not better. I would say it is worse than other USPS offices (LAZY SLOW MOVING PEOPLE WITH NO BRAIN).
