Food was ok overall. Clean restaurant but outside was riddled with bees (not their fault). Mud pie was pretty good.

Shared a meal with friends there. The Wildwood observed covid protocols which I appreciated. Their food was very good. Excellent service and they greeted me upon arrival nicely...loved that!

Been coming here for awhile, glad is still open (under new owners/management) Great place, hospitable and friendly (chef owner (Mark) greets you and Ellie served us - they are both friendly people person), spacious, outdoor seating, great smoked, fresh food and the corn bread for a cause was to die for (secret recipe)...We will be back again, next time for Sunday Brunch. 💞

We absolutely love coming to Wildwood! The food is amazing (from the braised short ribs, 12 hour brisket, homemade marinara sauce, etc), the drinks phenomenal, Ellies old fashion is always great & so any other options. We have truly enjoyed everything we have tried. The owners, Ellie & Mark, are the most welcoming hosts and always make us feel at home. We highly recommend Wildwood.

Great soups,, ordered French onion to go for mother in nearby nursing home. They questioned if I paid, check with hostess after I Tis bartender I did, with a tip on to go order. Didn’t seal to go slips in plastic wrap it spilled in transport. Won’t go back, old neighborhood restaurant. Saddened. My mom on hospice liked the soup.

Absolutely loved their pulled pork. Tried taking some to-go on another day but it gets too cold too fast. Best to enjoy it when dining in.

Lovely restaurant and bar with fun drink options and a modern take on tavern food. Service was very friendly and attentive. After noticing that someone in our party hadnt eaten much of their entree, the owner came to our table asking if there were any issues he could make right. As it happened, absolutely nothing was wrong, so it was especially nice. We chatted about the menu a bit, and were made to feel like welcome guests in a friends home. The fresh house-made desserts are difficult to resist, too!

Wildwood Tavern is located in the busy intersection of Touhy and Caldwell. They have outdoor seating, which is nice during this pandemic, but keep in mind of the busy/noisy intersection. Wildwood Tavern is apparently a chain, but I havent heard of the place when we got there.The server was super nice and was very knowledgeable of the menu. The family and I ordered the cheese curds, french onion soup, grilled cheese, a burger, Nashville Hot, and the I ordered the fiesta shrimp tacos, which were fantastic. Everyone really enjoyed their food and I agree.BATHROOM REVIEW: Located near the back, the bathrooms were A-OK and clean.

We had a party of 7 for Fathers Day. The food was really, really good! The server was super friendly! I left my credit card and the owner was so nice that he came back on a day the restaurant was closed so I could get it before I left the next day for vacation! Great food and great staff!

The motel I stayed out was not a great experience, but having the Wildwood Tavern within walking distance made it bearable. The Mac n Brisket sammich was great. Cheesy, smoky, and just the right amount of heat (your mileage may vary.) Very friendly staff as well. Very happy I stumbled across this place.

Awesome place to eat! The staff are very friendly. The food is made from scratch, fresh, and delicious. We enjoyed everything we ordered; nachos, fried pickles, BLT, hot dogs, and fries. The prices are very reasonable. We will definitely be back.

We came here for early dinner after movie. The atmosphere is warm and inviting but you walk right into a big open bar and off to the to the right is seating. Some improvements since the last time I was here theyve lowered the ceiling and added a divider wall between like a party room or an extra room in the back. Since we were there early there were definitely was not a lot of people here and the place was cold. They put the fireplace on but it took a long time for the room to even start to warm up. I mean youre a restaurant expecting guests, I would expected you take the steps to keto your guest comfortable. The staff were very friendly and attentive we did not order an appetizer and you were not served a bread basket either. My husband ordered a hamburger and fries and he had a large ordered plate of fries. I had brisket, garlic potatoes, and the season vegetable which was sweet peppers, zucchini, carrots. I was very disappointed with my sides, my seasoned vegetables were mostly peppers strips and I have to say if I had to put it into a cup it wouldnt be no more than 1/4 of a cup of vegetables and no more than 1/4 of a cup of mashed potatoes so very disappointing. However the food did taste good but I had to go home and eat some more vegetables.

My fiancee and I both had the BBQ chicken, my drink was an Amaretto sour, his was a strawberry margarita on the rocks. Service was good as well as the food.

We ordered a pick up order last night from the Wildwood Tavern. I have one word for our experience...Amazing!! The Supper Club Shrimp were quite possibly the best shrimp I have ever had. The homemade Mac and cheese was awesome with a great mix of cheese with a little kick to it. The other family members raved about their BBQ - brisket, pulled chicken, 1/2 slab of ribs. The sauce was great and it was cooked perfectly. Order pick up and support this family owned business. You will not be disappointed. 5 star experience.

Great place for a cozy dinner with comfort food! I had the Pit Smoked Barbecued Brisket Sandwich and the Bourbon baked beans and corn bread were sublime. Husband had the cheeseburger that was huge.Dim but not too dim lighting, the bar area was very full, Happy Hour Specials maybe? Lots of Tvs, lively crowd, perfect for families, couples, kids or dining alone.

Where I do start. Service time was horrible, we waited over an hour for our food to be prepared and it was only like five guests in the restaurant. The food came out extremely cold. My hot Nashville shrimp was cold to the touch. I was having dinner with 3 other ladies and each of our food was terrible. I asked him to take my shrimp considering I didn’t want to wait to the food was prepared again. Manager/ owner bright shrimp out again and informed him that I no longer wanted. Instead of him saying it’s on the house he actually took the shrimp back while I decided to just eat the cold nachos I ordered since I have not eaten all day. The owner attitude was the worse! I over heard another couple complaining about something being in there drink.I had a very nice waiter, a gentleman it but other then that, EVERYTHING WAS HORRIBLE. We still paid with tip but I will never go back!!!

My family of 4 ate here. We were seated promptly. Excellent and friendly service! The food was extremely mediocre and pricey for what we got. We won’t be returning for dinner. May give their brunch a try.

I’ve been meaning to write this review for a long time. Last night we visited wildwood tavern for the 3rd time since moving to the area. The combination of great food, relaxing atmosphere and attentive staff makes this place our favorite restaurant by far! The owners, Mark and Ellie are amazing. Everything is made from scratch and smoked in house. Last night I tried their signature cocktail infused with their signature vodka! I don’t normally have cocktails but I’ve had one or 3 every time we visit because they’re so good. I highly recommend the Mac and cheeses, any one you choose will hands down be the best you’ve ever had. THE CORNBREAD, wow. I’ve also ordered the Burnt Ends 2x and last night ordered Tie the Knot (soft pretzel and beer cheese), the softest pretzel I’ve ever had in 27 years. I could go on and on but point is, if you love comfort food, bbq, a HUGE bar, and appreciate hardworking, passionate staff, look no further!

The Nashville hot chicken sandwich is my favorite! Great service, prompt delivery of food. Also their take our orders are incredible as well as their cocktail package to go. Their NYE dinner package is such an amazing deal and it’s like it was made right before we got to the place to pick it up. Always my fav spot to go in Chicago when I’m there.

Wildwood was a delightful experience. The food was dynamite, outdoor dining comfortable, they took so many precautions due to COVID, still with a smile and appreciation for the business. It was ok, Patrick the Waiter was very good. The burnt onions on my steak were absolutely horrible, but the steak was good. I thought that $39.00 was a lot of money for a Skirt Steak. I was really hungry so I paid it. If you are looming for a good Steak this is not the place

By far the WORST place I have EVER been tooIt felt like twilight zone”The waitress was the owner the busboy the cook everything it took 35 minutes to get a cup of coffee.I Ordered nachos they came out and looked like dog food and tasted spoiled....The pulled pork was gruesome I have never tasted anything like it in my life I am surprised he still have a license to serve food...This place needs to be shut down ASAP!!!!

I took my family and mother here for lunch and the food was fantastic. Great high-end quality and preparation for the prices. The burgers are all GMO, antibiotic free. My arugula salad with a lemon dressing and salmon was awesome. Im always a little hesitant getting salmon on a salad but this piece was very fresh with great flavors. The big surprise was how good the pizza was. Cracker thin with cheese, pepperoni and onion and its among the best thin pizza anywhere in the area. Think Barnabys (which I love) with an artisan touch. Just killer. Ill order the pizza for takeout ahead of a lot of regular pizza joints.

This spot offers excellent service and tasty menu. My favourite spot around here. The drinks and food served quick and the rates are reasonable. I recommend this place.

I attended an event at Wildwood Tavern (October 2020). The staff was great, the pizza delicious, and the ribs were the best I have had. I look forward to my next visit at Wildwood Tavern.

Nice place, I’ve never ate here before but heard they had recently remodeled. Spacious restaurant with two out door seating areas, one is a screened in porch the other is a outdoor patio. Large rectangular bar in the center of the restaurant anchors the interior space.We ordered the tots to start, they were good, 5 on a plate, I’d probably order 2 portions if it was more than two people. Potato cheese and bacon with a spicy ranch style side sauce. Can’t go wrong.My daughter had Mac and Cheese with broccoli. She said it was ok, nothing special.I ordered the brisket sandwich with fries. At best it was ok. The brisket was cooked well, not over cooked nor was it under cooked. It was lacking in smoke in my opinion and the dry rub wasn’t very good. Also, it was supposed to come on a pretzel bun but mine came with brioche. Presentation was bad, just my sandwich and fries on a huge white plate, not appealing to the eye at all. The sauces were not to my liking either. Sauce is hard, everyone has a favorite style and some places try to replicate all styles and fail miserably. They had two and both were “ehhh” ok.The good: nice place with lots of outdoor seating, huge bar and convenient location.The bad: The food isn’t “wow”, it’s not terrible but I needs to be better. If they could figure that out this place would pop.I’ll give it another try, if nothing else have a few beers in the sun before winter.

We had brunch here last Saturday. Everything was awesome. We all had breakfast entrees, but we have been there for dinner many times. Some of our favorites are Burndt Ends, Skirt Steak and the Onion Soup. The patio is really nice in a beautiful night!

Doesnt deserve a star! Waited forever there was 3 table in this place, not the servers fault but the food was so awful I thought I would try this place out, please dont waste your time and money soooooo over priced

Went there today for St. Paddies day and grab something to eat. Had the fried pickles and chicken wings to start... they were good. Then ordered the skirt steak, with mashed potatoes. Whats weird is you can only order rare or medium, not medium rare. The only way to eat skirt steak is medium rare, but went with medium. It was dry and not very good, the burnt onions where dry and also not very good. Also when the mashed potatoes came out, they had a white gravy on them. Never saw a white gravy before, but tried them and they werent very good. The waitress was very nice and asked if she could get some something else. I got a baked potato, but at this point wasnt hungry anymore. Give it a 5 for the waitress, she was great. Would give it a 1 for the main entree, very disappointing.
