Needed new tires in a hurry. They were fantastic to work with. Do research on their website for pricing, usually lower than in store, and they will honor the online price. They were super friendly. Would definitely go back.

Went in for front end creaking and left with more problems. Told them not to touch my power mirrors and was assured the bays are wide enough. I have a bad drivers side power mirror that doesn’t look in. They say they didn’t touch it so it magically is rattling. If they can’t follow a simple request how are they going to fix your vehicle. Run!

WARNING WARNING !!!!!!This is the most poorly run business... I went in and wanted a simple oil change, it was 5 minutes until closing time which was 6 pm. So they didnt do it UNDERSTANDABLE So I raced home the following day just so I can get there way before closing time. I got there this time at 530 PM asked for just an oil change THATS ALL !!! JUST THAT, DONT DO ANYTHING ELSE! STILL TOO CLOSE TO CLOSING TIME. They should change there closing time to 5 pm. clowns!!

They tried to charge me an extra $14 per for a warranty I didnt agree to and an extra $10 per tire than the advertised price. When I picked up the car, the balance of the tires was way off. They also claimed they couldnt do an alignment because my car was too low and said I was a quart low on oil when I did an oil change literally the day before. Stay away!

Gio and his team are outstanding!!! I highly recommend bringing your car in here if you have if you have an issue with brakes or mufflers.

Went just for oil oil change and they deliberately put a nail to the tire and tried to push me into buying new ones for 180 usd per tier! BEWARE they don’t have any customers and trying to rip off anyone who dares to use their service!

Went in for an Oil Change, they supposedly found a nail in my car although my tired were brand new. After reading a review from someone else who also found an nail in their tires, I was reluctant on going here. However, I did see a lot of positive review so I thought It would be fine. The nail they “discovered” was the exact same and in the same spot as the previous reviewer who got a nail after there oil change. 0/10 would not recommend. Pay more and get it done at your local dealership where you purchased your car if you can. I will surely take my own advice the next time.

Made me think my brand new car was damaged. Told me there was a problem with my control arm. Made the appointment with the dealer only to find out there is nothing wrong with the car. It was supposed to be that way. They need to be more knowledgeable.Also made me pay for a new air filter when I didnt need one and never reset the air filter percentage.

They couldnt repair my tire due to safety compromise, witch makes totally since. There was a nail stuck on the inner sidewall of the tire, unrepairable!.Safety is priority for me,I had to buy a new tire.These guys know what theyre doing

I had a great experience at this location. Joe, the manager, took the time to explain necessary information for all the services that i was having performed including the rationale for the work and cost upfront. My car battery was dead and I forgot to leave the car running so it wouldnt restart. Joe and the guys in the shop had to physically move my car but there were no complaints to me, they just moved the car. They did what needed to be done. I found the entire operation to be well-run with high quality work. Definitely recommended.

READ - all ratings before you proceed. This is was my mistake. I noticed something didnt seem ideal when we were LITERALLY the only car they had to work on. Now... I know why. the customer service is impersonal and cold, the service was outrageously lengthy for a simple brake replacement job. Literally, the longest I had to wait for service and THERE WAS NO LINE or any other vehicles in the car docks. Hour(S) - And I stressed the S in hours to change 2 brake pads with 4 men in the shop, (2) of which served the front counter with no customers coming or going and the (2) workers wandering around doing what seems to be anything, but giving our vehicle the attention to quickly and adequately do brake replacements - with autozone 3 or 4 buildings away... I shutter to think why they had to wait so long to have the pads brought in elsewhere.Finally... when we paid and left. One of the guys yelled to the top of his lungs, Get Outta Here!!! as if we couldnt here it. So disrespectful.

Jerry and his associate Jio did a great job with my car. I went there for a 2nd opinion on my breaks and they were able to figure out what the issue was and give me a great price and customer experience. Also, were able to help me figure out the parts which were under warranty to lower the price. Both of them have great knowledge about cars and I had a great customer experience. I highly recommend this place.

Well I was looking for a place to install my exhaust on my mustang and I was checking out a few places. I went to Windy City muffler and they told me two hours and 180 dollars.... Just to install a catback exhaust. So I was familiar with the area and I thought lets go check out Midas. So when I arrived I was greeted by all the employees. The employees were so nice and helpful and they took care of me in only 30 minutes and for a third of the price. I was so very pleased with there service. I would recommend them to anyone. I will be returning!! Great Job Guys!!

These guys are very knoweldgable, honest, and do good work. Ive been taking my car here for years, and recently had a major issue with my transmission. They could have have upsold me for things I didnt need, but were true professionals and told me to walk away after giving me a clear diagnosis.

Go in for an oil change at 11:30am, one hour later still not done... Then dude tells me that the technician accidentally drained the transmission fluid ... Because the oil pan plug and transmission plug were next to each other... They didnt have the tool to replace my transmission fluid, so they had to run and pick one up... Its now 1:25 PM and they still are not done... To top it off, they are 3 dollars more expensive than jiffy lube and 15 dollars more than Audi Fletcher Jones. I will never be back here again, Im going to Audi next time. Huge mistake to come here!

Manager will lie to you! Run flats (Pirelli) have manufacturers warranty they just have to send a claim form along with your damaged tire and youll get a prorated refund check. Dont let them SCAM you!

These guys rock the house. Its Christmas Eve, 3;30 PM, and my left rear tire is nearly flat. As I am driving up Milwaukee Ave. from Chicago to Niles, I am noticing that EVERY single auto repair and tire shop is closed for the holiday. I pull into this Midas location, as I see the lights are still on, and ask Barba Basilio, head mechanic, if he has time to fix/repair a flat. He said they actually planned on closing at 3 PM, and were just finishing up last customers car. However, he realized how bad it would suck to have a flat for the next 48 hours, as everybody is closed for Christmas. Thus, he put it on the rack, and there are 2 nails in the tire, both in different parts where repair was not possible. The shop had no tires on hand that matched the size. Basically, I was screwed. However, Barba reached out to a sister shop to see if they had any in stock. Turns out they had two, and could get them to Niles in 30 minutes. By this time, its 5 PM. Regardless, Barba and crew waited for the tires to arrive and install them; while at the same time not rushing the installation. The owner was there as well, who most likely gave the approval to stay late until the job was done. I cant say enough about Barba and company truly going above and beyond. I thought Id be without my car for Christmas, and these guys made sure that wouldnt happen. Not to mention...great price on the tires! Thanks fellas. Seriously. Thanks

My exhaust system started to rumble. I knew it meant I had a leak somewhere. I brought it in to the shop and Gabriel was able to get me in first ( it was 8A and they just opened so that helped). Mo raised it up and took a quick look to see what the problem was and found 2 areas that were a concern at the flange joints. Mo fixed both of the leaks, secured my loose heat shield and I was back on the road within the hour. I needed to travel and they got me on the road with no problems. Thanks guys!

Had 2 experiences with this particular shop.The first one was when they tried to convince the wife to do an oil change, when in fact it was not nearly the time to do it.The second was today, when I stopped by and asked to scan the error code due to check engine light. The response: we charge $97 for full diagnostics, end of conversation. So I crossed the road and had the code read and reset in the local repair shop, took 3 minutes, and turned out to be gas tank cap, ending with my How much do I owe you, Bob? - Dont worry about it.I guess, not much business will be coming from me towards Midas.

Stay FAR away from this shop. They use shady, old school tactics to get you back in the door. I brought my vehicle in for suspension work. They did their full inspection and did work as recommended. A month and a half later, my car sounds worse than ever before. The struts were already completely worn. I brought it back to the shop and was told it wasnt their fault and that I needed addition strut work. All i wanted was a refund for the poor work they preformed, but of course they refuse to take responsibility. DONT EVER GO THERE!

If you need any type of car service think twice before you go to this place. They are rip off place, UNPROFESSIONAL, unpleasant and dont care about customer satisfaction. I had very bad experience with them and wont go there again for sure. Wait time at Midas is ridiculous, 4 hours for tire service, take them off, clean them and reseal it. Just need it to make sure my tires dont loose air, had to wait 2.5 hrs (as they sad) to be done but it took them 4 hrs.I was in rush and did not check closely what they did, thought it was simple fix. When I got on the highway car was so noisy I thought something was gonna fall off. I check it and they did not put the tires back the way they were. I had newer tires on front and older on the back. Can you believe it, they did not bother to match them. Different brands, different treads, and when I got back today to complain they were mad at me because I was pissed and mad because I was wasting my time. Guy was surprised when I told them that tires not supposed to mismatch. SO UNPROFESSIONAL.On top of that, like everybody else they put paper cover over floor mats to protect it but no one cares about nasty dirt on the steering wheel from dirty mechanic hands. They complete the job and sit ind the car with dirty and oily hands and drives out without cleaning after all. When I showed it to them they just walked away on me.Unbelievably poor customer service and professionalism.DONT GO THERE and if you do make sure you have wet cleaning wipes, hand sanitizer and make sure all the wheel bolts are in. Good look!!!

About a month ago I stopped in this Midas to see if they could tell me why I was getting such bad gas mileage. I spoke with Josh the Manager who had a mechanic look at my car and run some tests. The main problem was something called an oxygen sensor. They gave me an estimate and I had them do the work. While they were doing it - I called the Honda dealer where I bought the car. They wanted almost $200 more than the Midas bid. They (Midas) finished ahead on time and since then I am getting the gas mileage I used to get. They did exactly what t hey said they would do - quick and for less than I would have paid elsewhere.

I know Midas is known for their brakes, but I just wanted to stop in and get a head light bulb replaced. They quoted me $40, so I took my business down the road to autozone. They charged me for the part $13.95, and put it in for free, (literally took the guy under 2 minutes) he also showed me how to do it myself for future reference. Seems a little ridiculous to charge someone 25 bucks for 2 minutes of work. Also, makes me wary of where their quote would be on a larger job.

Worst mechanic service I have ever experienced in my life. Staff was very uneducated and not helpful at all. If you are looking to get even the smallest amount of work done, I would look for a different shop. Beware of this place.

When I worked for this company people told me the quotes for brake jobs were more then the dealer at times it makes sense since they made me get the cheapest brakes for 15$ and made me charge 85$ for them when Midas corp expected me to get the 30$ ones from Napa. quotes normally exceeded 500$ due to under qualified techs being hired who dont know how to cut them so they recommend new ones even when cutable. Wound never go to a Franchised Midas after working there made me sick to my stomach. Go to a corporate owned one those are fair cheap owners like this ruin the company name.

Not a good experience.I brought my car in to get my muffler fixed because it was in really bad shape. I was far from my regular preferred car shop, they were close, I didnt have many options.They charged me roughly 245% more than my regular shop on the new muffler/labor. When I pointed out this huge difference, the manager, Chris, said that Midas uses all true OEM exact parts and this other shop was probably using a refurbished muffler. Weak, try again. They just believe in keeping customers by not gauging them.After they finished that work, which I was regretting the whole time, they say they have to show me something. Everyones favorite thing to hear when they are at the car mechanic. I go into the shop and they tell me that the radiator is done for, its cracked and leaking coolant and MUST be replaced. Ive had no sensors come on to indicate overheating or low coolant, but the way theyre pitching it, this car wont survive the drive home, citing the pool of coolant that had leaked since they were working on the muffler. And by pool it looked more like 6 drips max.I foolishly buy into their fear mongering, going into panic mode. Oh no, what am I going to do...I just dropped a ton on a muffler, I need this car..okay go ahead and fix it. I was later reminded that there are a number of things the car will warn you with before any serious damage can be done from overheating. First being that low coolant light, which never came on even in the moments driving up to the shop. Oh and this job was roughly 180% more than my regular shop would have been.When I did finally bring the car back to my regular repair shop, they playfully gave me grief for going to a chain, as they always do. They also listed out some of what it would have cost to go through them. Finally, they made fun of the hack job that Midas did on wielding the muffler. Go figure.The only reason they have 2 stars instead of one is that I could have easily come to my senses and said, you know what, I know Im being ripped off, dont touch anything, Im getting a second opinion.Chains like this, its their job to get as much money out of you as possible. You could drive a brand new car off the lot into one of these chains (Midas, NTB, ect..) and theyll cite 4 things that are due.It has been a few months now, so this review isnt an immediate rage at Midas because I spent a lot of money with them. I just wanted to share my experience with fellow shoppers.In closing, I didnt feel like they were being honest at any point, I didnt feel like I was getting in even close to a good value on any work, and I didnt appreciate the fear mongering high-pressure nonsense. (and apparently, none of their work was even of high quality)I was wondering why they had exactly 3 other customers the entire day (7 hoursish) that I was there.

If you call, they hang up on you. They do not take the time to answer you questions and they do not even let you finish.
