I wish I could give more than five stars. The physical therapist there are absolute magic workers. The gym is clean, their hours are great and knowledgeable. Definitely a Hidden gem

I had several physical therapy sessions there and Kelly is truly the best physical therapist Ive ever had! The staff, for example, Rachel, work really hard to accommodate your work schedule!! The facilities are very nice and very clean. There is never a BO odor.

Since I need work on my knees prior to surgery then I need to go. I have a nice and capable physical therapist.

A lot of these ratings are outdated. I moved from Central Oregon and joined Samfit. The staff is great, the place is always clean, they have excellent equipment and people are usually considerate of one another. The locker rooms and showers are always clean, and if something is broke its usually fixed by the next time I go in. The negative reviews are from a while ago, and I would recommend this place to anyone.

My PT Cliff is always positive and helpful, my sessions are on time and the location is convient.

Excellent people that are very nice and helpful. The therapist are so nice and accommodating to your needs and what you need to do to get improvements of your condition. Very well set up and clean. Also is wheelchair accessible..

Very clean, excellent equipment and rarely crowded. Ive worked out at a number of gyms in a number of cities and states over the years, and this is one of the nicest and cleanest.

It is a great welcoming atmosphere where I do not feel out of place or self conscious about how I look. It is a definite change of pace from the other gyms I have been to where gym douches and ripped junkies walk around looking at themselves in the mirror and act like animals.

Current member, agree there are cobwebs and the equipment is from the previous establishment. They just changed to sanitary wipe dispensers instead of the spray bottles, very convenient. They did change lock and key card configuration, I was notified and there were signs posted. They are remodeling and bringing the gym downstairs with new equipment. Cant wait.

Definitely my favorite gym in Newport! Awesome staff, great equipment, welcoming atmosphere. They have stair masters which is a huge plus! Loved everything about it!

From the other reviews it sounds like it used to be bigger. It is clean, the equipment is new (including a lot of weight machines), and the people were very helpful (the trainer ia particular). My only complaint after a couple of visits is that the treadmill, bike and elliptical machines have internet connectivity but it is really slow and they seem to freeze after a few minutes. I have enjoyed using the facility, especially when it is too cold to be outside exercising.

They ruined a perfectly fine gym. There’s no place to safely lift weights.You can’t have more than 4 people working out at the same time because they’ve just shoved all these machines together.They put the smith machine in front of a mirror but not the squat racks.They got rid of a lot of popular equipment and then didn’t replace it.They didn’t replace the old, rusty plates.They got rid of the one good set of clips for free weights.A lot of people have already left because of the complete disregard for weight lifting.I work for Samaritan and I’m even considering quitting this gym.

Disappointed in the new gym. Equipment is new but the gym is 1/3 the size it used to be and has minimal equipment. They got rid of some of the gym staples like calf raise machine, hamstring curl, and ghd. I think its now overpriced for what it is. Theyd likely get tons more businesses if the remodel would have made it an actual community gym and not just a hotel type gym.

Love to work out here, all new equipment nice staff and new trainers make this my favorite place to be!

Very clean. The machines are always working. The staff is very friendly. You dont have to worry about feeling out of place everyone is just doing theyre own thing!

Love the 24 hour gym great equipment the only critic is during staffed hours its hard to find the staff which there is only 1person, at least keep the phone with you while your not up front. 35 minute waits to sign a person up not ok.

No Scruples!!! I canceled my account with the previous owners and the new owners started charging me because they said we only suspended our account. For six months they charged us through a third party billing party called Paramount. When we questioned the charge and told them the error they insisted we pay it anyways. We paid for 6 months of membership and never walked through the door!!! They didnt even offer for us to use it in the future. Be careful. They might rip you off too.

Great equipment awful environment-cancelled my membership after 5 years because of the on-going construction, its also hit& miss whether your key card is going to work.what used to be the full size locker room is now a half bath with a shower; this place sold-out big time

Awful experience. I was only a member for a few months as it was transitioning into Samfit. The place was always filthy. dirty floors, showers never cleaned (the same glob of conditioner was on a stall door for 3 weeks. - I named him Harry), cobwebs in all the windows, disinfectant bottles always empty. machines were old and dated. the last straw for me was when they updated the door locks without notifying me so I was locked out all weekend, after driving 30 mins to get there. I then changed my credit card # so they couldnt bill me for another month (they want 30 days notice when cancelling) and they immediately contacted me by phone AND email AND text about payment, but couldnt check in about picking up a new door key! Will never return and make sure everyone knows why! $40 a month for poor service is too much to charge.

Pleasant staff, very thorough.

I set up an appointment a week in advanced, I call the day of the appointment only to be told I need to get a referral to reactivate the service, WHY SET THE APPOINTMENT UP IN THE FIRST PLACE THIS HAS CAUSED ME NOTHING BUT ISSUES AND HEARTACHE WILL NEVER COME BACK!

Im getting better, was half paralyzed, walking again
