Worst experience ever. Had me fill all kinds of forms and jump through many hoops. The staff at that location was RUDE. After one of their assignments fell through, I asked what was the next step. A chubby woman told me that I had no future with manpower now or ever! I couldnt believe how rude she was in front of other staff. Glad to have found a good job. But I have never been treated so poorly by any agency. Would not recommend anyone to use this business.

EXTREMELY rude customer service. I called a few times to inquire about my application and she answered very rude with an attitude saying to just leave a voicemail next time. Very unprofessional.

I owe a debt of gratitude to both Manpower and, more specifically - Heather. She walked me through all of the steps I needed to take to successfully find employment. I really impressed with her honesty. She reminded me that, while there to help me find work, that ultimately I was responsible for putting in the effort to be available, prompt, professional, courteous, and willing to put forth my very best effort while on assignment. With her encouragement and and belief in me, I went into my first assignment and am very happy to report that I was offered a permanent position within that company. My family and I are sincerely grateful.

Was told that i needed to have my Dr send them a note stating I was capable of working for the meds i take before i could return to work and said that once they have it they would let me know asap. Every other day or everyday i would get harassed about my Drs note. When my Dr did send them the note clearing me to continue working they never called texted emailed nothing stating they received it. When I called my Drs office to get them to send another note clearing me I was told they had to let me go even though they had received my Drs note. Was even asked what time would be best to be called told them afternoon at 9am I get a call from them and wasnt able to answer when I was able to call back I was told i was being very unprofessional just because i wasnt able to answer their calls all thru out the day sometimes being called 6 times a day never giving me any time to call back or email or text but yet lauren wants to tell me Im unprofessional and could be fired for insubordination just because i wasnt able to answer their calls sometimes it would be days and even told her and everybody else at their office

The Manpower team in Newport News is amazing to work with! Sadly, reading through other reviews, the only things that show up are far less than positive...which is both skewed and one-sided. Every interaction I have had with the staff there while working assignments has been positive, courteous, and extremely professional. I have witnessed other interactions while visiting the office and have routinely seen other candidates speaking and conducting themselves in a very unprofessional manner, not in a manner conducive of someone taking the task of looking for employment seriously. The staff goes above and beyond to place candidates. The happiest and most successful people I have encountered through my Manpower experience have been those who were serious about both obtaining and maintaining employment.

When I joined the Manpower team Mrs. Monica was my recruiter and she was wonderful and very positive. Her levels of communication was weekly making sure the assignment was working out and everything was fine however since I have been with Heather I have experienced nothing but her being NASTY AND VERY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. HER LEVEL OF UNDERSTAND AND GUIDELINES OF SUPERVISOR IS HORRIBLE. SHE TRIES TO BELITTLE IN CONVERSATIONS, SHE DOES NOT HAVE THE BEST INTEREST OF THE WORKERS AT ALL. IF I AM REMOVED FROM MY ASSIGNMENT BECAUSE OF THIS POST I WILL TAKE FUTHER ACTIONS BUT SOMETHING NEED TO BE DONE ABOUT HER. SHE IS NOT THE RIGHT PERSON FOR MANPOWER. I HAVE A DEGREE IN MANAGEMENT AND ON ANY LEVEL WOULD I TREAT MY TEAM LIKE THIS. IT IS VERY SAD AND MY BE SHE NEEDS TO REFRESH UP ON THIS. SOMEONE PLEASE LOOK INTO THESE COMPLAINTS TO BETTER THE COMPANY.

Ashamed to say I worked there as a Recruiter. Unfriendly condescending staff and inadequate training was all I received. One tip I can give job seekers is do not call or visit. They hate that. They do not work to find you a job. They work to find jobs and then pull from their pool of registered candidates. Just register and they will contact you if they have a job that matches your skill set.

Was more concerned about getting a recruit on board than advertising the ACTUAL job I was looking for. turns out the position didn’t even exist when I went to orientation. Waste of time.

Best at getting you a job. Dont expect them to do all the work. You have to be willing.

They wrongfully end your assignment. Then when you apply for unemployment benefits, they lie and say we offerd you a job close to your residence and you refused. They have bad morals and no decency. People are not having this at least if you dont want to pay a former employee. Make sure its fair and a real argument won by the correct side whether manpower or former employee.

This is the worst and i mean worst temp agency to work for. They do not care nor do they do anything to protect there employees. I told one manpower rep about a issue that i was having regarding a manager and they did nothing about it at all. Not only that even if u have a doctors note saying that you were in thr hospital THEY DONT CARE AT ALL. So if you are smart i would think TWICE maybe even Three times about working for MANPOWER or CONTINENTAL AUTOMOTIVES THEY ARE THE ABSOLUTE WORST!

Worst temp agency ive EVER worked for .. i had a family emergency over the holidays & i reached out to the agency ...she were upset because i didnt contact them.. they ended my assignment without hesitation .. HEATHER was VERY RUDE & NASTY about my bonus when i inquired about it ..she had no care in the world about my family emergency.. she was only concerned about the job . i asked for a manager to speak to & i haven’t received a call from one yet. I refuse to EVER return to work for them . .

Dont waste the time. Unorganized and gives you the run around.
