This Trek Store is exemplary in customer service, friendliness, and professionalism. I always drive out of my way to go here because I KNOW that the experience will definitely be enjoyable and the staff will be glad to go out of their way to HELP me - and they just don’t “Help”, they have a genuine desire to help as if they were helping their most beloved Grandparent. I am so very thankful for this staff who work at this store and all that they have always done for me. The atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant. If they don’t have an item that you would like they will go to the ends of the Earth to get it for you. They have done this for me on many occasions. I have visited other stores in the area and none are even close to the experience of shopping here. I always go to the Trek Store in Newport News and don’t bother with the stores that are very close to me - it’s exciting to drive down the interstate knowing where I will be when I arrive! I always encourage my cycling friends to go here and see and experience the absolute delight it is to shop here. Even if you are an hour away - it’s worth the drive. It’s so clear that the management is fantastic because they have positively affected their employees. I went for my first ride on a new(to me) bike and popped the inner tube on my back tire. I went to the store with the old tube and was met at the door by someone who had the best personality for me. I am new to biking and I do not know the correct terminology for things. He got me a new tube and spare. I will be going back for a fitting and possibly a better outter tire so I won’t have a flat on every ride. They were very knowledgeable and eager to share tips and tricks with a newbie. They didn’t make me feel uncomfortable. I will be going back to this location for all my biking needs.

Great place to go for any of your biking needs. Ive been taking my bike here for service for a couple of years now and the staff is always very helpful and knowledgeable. They are patient and always willing to answer all my questions/concerns before I leave my bike. Ive been wanting to upgrade my 27.5 MTB to 29 for awhile but wasnt sure on exactly what parts were compatible. They were able to find me all the quality parts I needed and at a great price.

The staff was exceptionally kind. Everyone I encountered with knew their stuff when it came to repairs. So happy to have chosen them to take care of my bike!

Careful. Purchased three new bikes and was told to bring them back after 50 hours and they go through them to ensure all is working fine. Their intent is to sell you on everything when you bring them in. This is not a benefit to the buyer. Its no different than bringing any other bike in for that matter. They have a good quality bikes, but this aspect I thought was disingenuousness sales tactic.

I writing this review to commend Chris and Michael for a fantastic experience while shopping at local Trek stores. Chris works in Newport News, and Michael works in Williamsburg. Simply put, each of them epitomizes superb customer service. They are knowledgeable, personable, professional, and sincerely care about each customer’s experience while shopping at each Trek store.Chris disassembled, serviced, and reassembled my Trek hybrid bicycle as if it was his own. The quality of his craftsmanship is top-shelf, as was his explanation of the work performed. There is no doubt in mind Chris is a master of his craft. Also, Chris went above and beyond to ensure I had every component I needed for my bike, even if he had to pick up a component from another store personally. Furthermore, Chris exercised incredible patience when he helped me outfit my bike for traveling. Chris stayed with me more than one hour past closing to ensure he meticulously documented every detail and upgrade of the service.Chris, you are an asset to the Trek team, and I am fortunate to have met you. I wish you all the success in the world. You understand leadership, and it shows. Thank you, sir! It was a pleasure meeting you.Michael also stayed well past closing to help me purchase a pannier and a MIK bag. Incredibly, he reengineered the bag in a manner that joined both products. In other words, he ingeniously merged both items in a way that allows me to easily mount, carry, and disconnect both the bag and pannier simultaneously. Michael went as far as locating new bolts, laboriously grinding the bolts to the correct size, and manually connecting the products. Trek should consider speaking with Michael as he may have ingeniously created a future Trek product.Michael, you are a resourceful young man, and I appreciate you! Trek is lucky to have a problem-solver like you onboard who willingly accepts challenges head-on. Thank you, sir!If it weren’t for Chris and Michael, I would merely be a customer of Trek. Instead, I am more than just a customer because of Chris and Michael’s exceptional customer service; I am a loyal fan.

My local store called this store and they had the bike I was looking for. I went down right away and received excellent service and a great consultation from Chris.We locked in the perfect ride for my daughter and I was able to come pick it up two days later. We made a couple of last-minute upgrades for leaving and made it absolutely perfect for her.Looking forward to hitting the trails!

I was in the market for a used bike and found one from a private seller. Before heading out to look at the bike, I called this store. The salesman looked up the bike model and year for me and searched similar models and let me know the details of the bike and if it was a good deal...which it was. The salesman (Greg) was extremely helpful and certainly was not going to be making a sale as the store does not sell used bikes. My Trek bike is awesome and will be visiting this store if and when I need repairs, upgrades or information. I very much appreciate the customer service, even though I was not a customer. I will be in the future.

Honesty. Fair price. Took my bike in for a last minute inspection before my first long ride of the season the next day . I had called day before my ride and they worked me in same day and called me with assessments and strategy for saving money on the fixes. Glad I came in as I had both tires worn down to steel at rim. They replaced those, adjusted brakes and must have adjusted the gears a little too no charge as it was effortless to switch gears . Im going in for a little more work.this week before a long weekend of riding in July. I have had my Trek fx WSD for 7 years so it was long overdue!

Ive only been once, but the individual who helped me was fantastic. Got myself measured for a bike, given advice on how to purchase a bike, trail locations, and an explanation on types of bikes. Very knowledgeable and sociable person even amongst the situation 2020 has provided for us. Highly recommend and will return before I leave VA.

They had bikes! Expensive ones but they had them.It was a nice show room. The staff were knowledgeable.The cheaper bikes you still need to pay for and hope they come in soon but better than the other shops around Newport News as far as obtaining a bike.The nicest staff and place is Village Bikes but they had no bikes....This was a close second in my opinion.

Absolutely one of the best shops I have ever visited. I went there twice during a one week period (once to buy a pump and once to get my bike repaired) and both times the staff was extremely nice and knowledgeable. The best part is that they will help you find what you are looking for (even if they dont have it), which is a nice refreshing from a usual feeling of you must get it from us that I have gotten from a few similar store before. In addition, the staff was able to talk me through all I needed to get done without any issues and helped me learn about my bike (considering that I am a person that knows very little about bikes it was nice to get some information from the pros. I would absolutely go to them if you need your bike fixed!!!

I bought my first bike here in 2015 andit now has about 10k miles on it. It hasntneeded anything other than normal wear items. Whenever I brought it in for service,they were always helpful and prompt withwhatever I needed. The bike converted meto Trek, but the people working here have always been the reason I visit this shop foreverything I need for that bike and why Ibought a mountain bike here 6 months ago.They also work on all makes of bikes, andare very knowledgeable towards solutions forany problem you may have with your bike.A good local bike shop is worth a lot morethan the 5 bucks you can save online in myopinion.

Brought in my bike with its blown out pedal threading (thanks moving company). Its not a Trek but they found a new crank set and held the bike until the new part arrived.

I really appreciate you set up my new bike that I bought online, which was not a Trek, correctly after taking it to a different bike shop first who did not set it up right. My front wheel no longer wobbles, my gears shift smoothly every time, & my brakes work very well. I went in to purchased my first pair of shorts and I had an awesome experience today. The staff was very friendly and patiently answered all of my questions. Good service, but....I live in Columbia, SC and had to drive 6 hr each way to buy a bike because they would not ship a bike. I would recommend this for someone living in NN VA, but not Cola SC.

I called prior to my visit in search of an XL bike helmet (these are hard to find). The customer service that I received was excellent. When I arrived within the hour to purchase the helmet, the associate was very friendly and helpful. My shopping experience was quick and seamless.

I took my bike in to get checked prior to big rides. They were very respectful, explained all the checks they would accomplish. They finished ahead of schedule. I was about to purchase some accessories and they informed me on what would be better for my level of experience.

I came in this past Saturday looking for acruiser style bike for my wife. Needless to say,there were none left in stock, but Cameron wasmore than happy to talk to us anyways andshow us around, even though there were otherpeople waiting to be helped. Well to make along story short, I wound up coming back a fewhours later to buy my first Trek! Great service and friendly people, I originally got a Marlin 6 in large and after a bit of riding around decided I probably should have gone for a medium large and maybe a bit nicer bike for tougher trails with friends... So exchanged it with zero hassle under the 30 day policy for an X Caliber 9.

Even under stressful and uncertain circumstances (the great Covid-shutdown and subsequent bicycle rush) i received incredibly courteous and thorough attention. I brought my bike in for a tune up to get ready for the season. They offered to do everything on the spot, including a new chain, adjustment, and fixing some parts. They did a great job for a great price, and I was out the door quickly. Ready to Ride!!

Manager is very nice. Son took a tumble first week with new bike. He was bummed seat was ruined. I called to buy new one. Manager replaced with one from bin (same seat) at no charge. Will definitely purchase next bike from them.

The store was well kept, open, and well lit. The product selection was large and the product placement was spaced well enough from others that shopping here isnt cramped, but refreshing. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Not simply with the product, but with information about the area and its cycling. Definitely will return for business.

I love my Trek WSD bike and have always received excellent service from the Bike Beat Yorktown store, now known as Trek. I had my bicycle serviced last week in a timely manner and the manager, Chris, is wonderful. I know this is a transition period, but it seems this Trek store definitely needs additional employees/mechanics to keep up its good service to customers.

I have shopped at Trek Bikes Yorktown (formerly Bikebeat) for many years having purchased a number of bikes for both myself, my wife and daughter; never have I felt overly pressured to purchase a bike beyond my needs. While there are several bicycle shops in the area, I have found the staff at Trek Bikes Yorktown to be the most professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. Not only will I continue the support Trek Bikes Yorktown myself, it is the only bike shop that I recommend to friends and coworkers.

Ive been coming here since 2013 and have been quite happy.If you are in the market for a new quality grade MTB or road bike, check them out.Also, Ive had my bikes serviced a couple of times and they do quality work. A little overpriced IMHO, but not too bad.If you are considering becoming a serious cyclist, IMHO, you should stay away from the Dicks sporting goods stores, etc. and start using professional-grade niche cycling stores like this place. The quality difference is unmatched.Personally, I am a Trek Rider, but other professional grade cycles like Specialized are other brands to consider. But as always, I recommend Trek.

Bruce Pully did an excellent job in overseeing all aspects of my bike repair.. He diagnosed that my Madone Trek 5.2 head tube bearing needed replacement, he ore-ordered the part and set up an appointment to have Mark the mechanic install it. While there I asked Bruce do some research on an unrelated question I had concerning compact crank options for my bike...Bruce got back to me quickly in the ensuing couple of days with an answer. When I dropped the bike off at the shop at 12 noon, Mark did a quick evaluation and advised replacement of the chain which was just in tolerance...thus saving the cassette from future unnecessary wear. The shop had the bike back to me by 3 that afternoon. One of the sales associates.... Elizabeth checked me out and suggested I do a scratch off on one of your promotional cards, she provided me a coin to do the scratch off and just like that I saved $10 on the $120 repair bill. She also suggested I provide my email for money saving coupons. The following weekend I did the 58 mile timed route at the Armed Forces Challenge in Arlington Va and my bike performed flawlessly. You have an awesome staff at your Yorktown, VA TREK store...Im looking forward to seeing them again soon and using the coupon you subsequently emailed me.
