I came here hoping for a shorter haircut with layers, and Mrs.Latasha delivered!! The work was amazing and the layers were perfect!! She did an outstanding job and we hope to see her again for future haircuts!
Marie is the absolute best! She did my highlights for the first time last year and they were absolutely awesome and cute! Today, I asked her what she thought would look good since my hair was already light from being outside. She recommended a balayage with highlights at the roots and it turned out so beautiful! I highly recommend this place! It’s very clean and professional! Everybody is so kind and very amazing! Can’t wait to go back!
I love coming here, Tasha is my go-to every single time, shes very sweet and always gives me suggestions and tips on what goes best for my hair!! If your thinking of getting a service done here I recommend her 100% ❤!!
Tasha gave me an awesome haircut and color. She listened to what I wanted and she is top of the line. I love her personality. She is the best!!!
I enjoyed my visited the environment was pleasing. MS.Peed took very good care of me and her work area was clean.I appreciate how they were cleaning after each customer that was very important to me. Good job and thank you
Brittani has been cutting my hair for over 4 years, every other month and I have never been disappointed! She will cut your hair the way you request but still makes suggestions to make your style even better. I wear a short pixie haircut, am very picky and Brittani nails it!
I got my hair done with Marie. She was a bright individual who obviously loves what she does! I had come in for a bayalage (my hair had never been colored before and I didnt understand much about hair coloring). She and I figured out exactly what style we were aiming for (I ended up getting bayalage highlights). Marie did an excellent job with bleaching and foiling my hair! I had almost fallen asleep! As for when it came time to color, the first shade was not exactly the color I was looking for and she did an excellent job with helping me choose the correct shade and color! I would highly recommend this salon! (P.s, I am not paid to write this review, as one review had stated all the positive reviews are paid people! I live in a whole different state and came to Hampton, VA for vacation! Thank you Marie!
This place is the absolute best. I called for an appointment at 3 and they were able to get me in at 6 with Annie. I showed her a picture of a shorter hairstyle with color and she did not disappoint. My hair was very long and I needed a change. Annie was super sweet, professional, and helped give me a shorter hair style I do not regret. I highly recommend this place and Annie!
Tasha is a talented stylist, who works hard to keep up with trends and techniques. She is also a wonderful person.
Clean. Convenient. Henry is excellent! Great hair stylist and excellent customer service!
The floor boards are discolored and sticky, the ceiling tile above the wash stations have dust and mold growing on them. And every time I go in, the price of a hair cut has increased. It is $46 now but nothing has been added to the experience and then you have to add the covid cleaning fee. Hiring a cleaning crew could go a long way.
I think I had the same hair dresser in the other comment with the red hair and I was nervous because I read the reviews prior to going but.....she rocked it! My Mom and I both went for color and cuts and she took us both at the same time. She did well with time management making sure we were both taken care of. The color she did was beyond amazing, the cuts were beautiful too! She even took the time to style our hair before we left. I have thick curly hair and she took the time to straighten it which is not an easy task. I felt so pretty when I left. She gained two new customers for sure! See ya soon!❤
I have come to Annie for a good year now. She is Excellent! Great listener and great skills! I come in there looking like a hot mess and she always puts me back together. I let her pick my finishing style, its always a new one and she teaches me how to do it too. She is a great gem for this hair salon.
I’ve had positive experiences in the past, but today my daughter and I arrived for our appointment at 1:00 to get her done done for prom. When we got there, a man named Sal informed us that the girl that was supposed to do her hair was waiting for her ride to work and that she was still at home in Chesapeake! There was only him and one other person working and both of them were booked. There didn’t appear to be a manager or anything and Sal just kept saying he was glad he wasn’t in charge. He did offer to call down to Regis to see if they could fit us in and thankfully they could, but I was extremely disappointed at the lack of planning and how it was handled. I would definitely caution anyone who has an important event against going there.
Every time ive gone, everyone has been very kind and friendly. They always listen and have always done a wonderful job
I went in for a trim, and left in tears. The stylist completely destroyed my hair. She wasnt even looking, and chopped off a HUGE chunk of my bangs! My hair was below my shoulders, and now its almost chin length, and my bangs now go all the way back past my ear! Its going to take at least a year to grow and fix the damage she caused. If youre thinking of going here....please dont. Choose anywhere else, but dont let this place near your hair.
I like everyone that work there and I like the way my hair is cut most the time. And I also get my color there and they make use it the right color for me I think I been going there about 4 or 5 years and I will kept going.
Horrible place. All the positive reviews are paid. You cant trust them. No set prices and the charge whatever they want.
Such a great experience! All three of the young ladies in the salon were very nice! I believe the stylists name was Tab that did my hair. It turned out exactly how I wanted it! She looked at my pictures I liked and gave her input. I did all over highlights and lowlights along with a cute layered cut. I will most definitely be back for trims and color touch ups! Also, while I was in... All three ladies handled a rather difficult customer very well! He was erratic, and all over the salon. They were extremely professional and I was really impressed. Way to go ladies!
Tammy is so awesome, great customer service and I love my hair. Thanks so much!
My hair was a mess and Becca fixed it...such a great experience...she fixed my botched asymmetrical I had done elsewhere..gave me extraordinarily beautiful color. Its chic! Thats all I can say...chic! Plus she is great company and totally funny..it was a pleasure..recommend her highly!
I came in and was lucky to be seen right away by Francisca (Not sure I spelled that correctly) with no appointment. I told her I wanted to have heavy blonde highlights and a cut. The highlights are cute, but not as blonde as I was hoping. My grown out highlights were actually much lighter than what she was able to give. Still its cute. The cut is where Im most disappointed. I told her to take about 3 inches off. She cut isnt terrible but the layers are horrifying. They actually are very uneven and very obvious when I part it the way my hair prefers to part. I will have to have get that fixed. Overall- After tip it cost me over $200. I really was expecting better and just unfortunately didnt get it. I wont cross Mia and Maxx off my list but perhaps give a different stylist a chance.
I get awesome cuts here. Sal has been at it for a while now and knows what he is doing
I am soo impressed. Very welcoming & very attentive to what you wanted to get done. Ms Jacqui did amazing job. Just WOW!
I came in to get a blonde hair dye. The first time I came in I sat in a chair for six hours with my head burning so bad I couldn’t sit still. When it was done my roots and middle of my hair were bright orange and some of it was patchy silver. I called to fix it and went in and a different woman tried to fix it. She tugged so hard on my hair I still have sore spots. And my hair turned dark brown!!!!!! I told her I wanted blonde and she told me I was blonde. This is the worst service I’ve ever received.
One star, wish I could put none. Dyed my hair THREE times in TWO days and never got my hair right. Went in with black hair, wanting a lighter brown. Diana started the process... First time, roots were way lighter than the body of my hair and my ends were barely dyed, still black. Dyed again right after and it was patchy, blotchy, had lines in my hair, uneven and different sections of my hair were different colors of brown, almost warm, orangey-blonde! Went in next day because ran out of time the day before, Diana was LATE so Becca tried to fix it but the color grabbed (not Beccas fault) and my hair went back to dark brown, looked almost as dark as it was when I first walked in the day before... It was even, finally...but not the color I wanted! Very bad experience, was beyond disappointed.
My hairdresser was the redhead and she’s awesome, she helped me select a color and toned it to correct color. Definitely recommend!
Was turned away with 45 minutes until they closed. Just needed a simple trim and after skulking and avoiding eye contact a couple of employees approached me at 8:15and explained that they closed at 9:00 they couldnt help me. Guess they should advertise that they truly close at 8:00.
Im honestly not sure how this salon has any good reviews, I had the absolute worst experience. Here it is:I went in for my scheduled appointment, asked for a specific color and cut with reference photos. The hair dresser rarely said any words to me, never asked to see the photos again, which I thought was odd but I brushed it off, whatever, long boring day at work, I get it even Im tired and not talktative. She began working on my hair, cut first. All seemed ok, I couldnt see what she was doing to my hair so I thought to myself that it was fine. Next this particular hair dresser began the coloring process. During the entire process (2 hours or so) she thoroughly, intensely and very literally STABBED my scalp with the brush she was using to apply a 30v mixture. Kind of hurt but I thought nothing of it because shes a hair dresser at a salon that has good reviews and came recommended, so again, I brushed it off. She didnt actually tell me what she was using on my hair or doing to it (I overheard later when she was asking someone to mix her more 30v) so I just let her do her thing. So after that I get up, get my hair rinsed, etc. all that good stuff. She dries my hair with a blow dryer, and then begins to style it, which I didnt want in the first place and was an awful style job as well. While sitting in the chair I see some of my hair color during the unnecessary styling process and realize its not at all the color I wanted. After showing me the cut and color job she did, I realized she completely butchered my hair cut (a cut Ive had stylists do to perfection before) as well as the color. It looked and felt like she was rushing and didnt even actually try...The most serious problems with this entire situation are that I now have intense chemical burns on my scalp that hurt a ridiculous amount when I shower. The other stylists sat around and WATCHED her do it and said NOTHING (again, I couldnt see it until the end). I have a bruise on my neck from her neglecting to make her client comfortable while rinsing hair for upwards of 20 minutes. My hair is damaged to hell after two years of not touching it. The cut is awful, and the dye job looks like I went home and personally bottle bleached it and added random scraps of brown dye to the bleach, so that it mixed together to make an orange hue (I had her add brown but she did so WITH the bleach, not what youre supposed to do there for that reason..). None of this was, even in the least, looking like what I asked for.Now I know I asked her for a color that was to the point that it may not have been possible for her to achieve for me, however, if she knew that, and being a hair dresser had to have known that, she should have said something.Im a non-confrontational person so I paid the ridiculous $200 or so price for the BS of a color and cut I had done by a woman who seemingly doesnt know what shes doing at all, or doesnt care, and left to go on my way to buy products to fix my hair myself because I cant show up for work like this, and apparently I can do a better job than a trained professional for less than $80.Never going there again. Never going to a salon again in general since I can do my own hair but thought a trained professional could do it better. I definitely do NOT recommend this salon unless you have practically no hair to work with as it is. If you choose to go, go at your own risk.
Alea did a great job on my hair from the very first visit! My hair is thick and difficult to work with - she tamed it! Loved the experience!
Went here twice when I lived in Newport news and lived it both times.! Had different ladies each time I went. One for a cut and the other for color. I would recommend to any and everyone.!
When Im old and rich Im going to take my hairstylist from her, with me. Absolutely the best
Completely unprofessional! I was completely humiliated and wanted to cry. She also cut me me with the clippers and complained about the other stylists that work there the whole time. Upper management needs to monitor these ladies more.
Fallen From Grace - The Long VersionYears ago, back in 2005-2006, i used to frequent this salon at the suggestion of a friend. Since then, I have followed the stylist as she moved to other salons in the area. However, tonight February 24th, my wife had scheduled an appointment for a hair cut, no wash, since we were not able to schedule an appointment with my stylist on such a short notice. We arrived and a stylist saw us. She took her time walking over. She had red/orange-ish hair, wore glasses, and looked as if she couldnt care less what was going on.My wife went with her and sat down to tell her what she wanted: I stood nearby. She just wanted to have layers in the front and to shorten the back an inch. The stylist then escorted her to the back for a wash. My wife told her, but i dont want to wash my hair, I just want a cut. The stylist insisted that she had to, so that she could cut it properly. Reluctantly, my wife went with it. I later found out that during the wash the stylist had her hands all along the edges of her face, messing with her makeup. After the wash, she brushed my wifes hair out, roughly I might add, and without a concern if she was hurting her. She cut her layers in, and shortened the back.Afterwards, the stylist asked, do you want to blow dry your hair, or air dry it? That was by far one of the most nonsensical questions Ive heard in a while. How are you going to soak/wash a persons hair, then ask if they want to leave it soaked?Of course, we were going to have it blow dried. I could tell from my wifes face that she was in pain. Apparently, the stylist kept the blow dryer at the hot setting and holding it on one spot of her head for long periods of time. After telling her it was too hot, she turned it down, and proceeded to do the same thing. We told her once again that it was hot, and she replied I cant make it any cooler without making it cold. So, she continued making her head hot to the point of my wife telling her to just stop altogether. My wife thanked her, and the stylist said nothing with her face blank as it was the entire time.We paid, I gave her a $1 tip that she didnt deserve. We later found out that her hair wasnt even cut straight and in her front layers there were stray pieces of hair that were uncut. The temperature and methods from the blow drying incident also left my wifes scalp tender, and sore.I will be speaking to the manager in the morning. The Short VersionAvoid this place (or that particular stylist) at all costs. I do not know where she was trained, and she clearly could care less about her customers. I can only hope that the rest of their personnel have talent as stylists, because this one has none. She would serve better as a torturer than anything else.Save yourself the trouble.[Edited Sept. 2020 for grammatical errors and typos. I seem to have been annoyed when I wrote this years ago. No, weve never gone back since this incident in 2017]
Lovely environment. Fast service. Beautiful results.
Been having a great experience with Becca and first time I went in I want to know how much it cost but but fit in before the closed
Great staff. Very skilled. Color a specialty
Been waiting for a hour and one of the employees brought their son and making a mess of things terrible places I recommend to go to another place
I have a simple haircut but yet many places manage to screw my hair. I went here having no expectations and I must say Im happy with job they did.
Sam was really nice and helpful and now my hair is gorgeous! Thanks Mia&Maxx
This place saved my hair. I had damaged hair but it is slowly getting better with their help!
Sal has been cutting my hair for 13 years.
Gave this place a shot and walked out with a butchered haircut.
Excellent
