This is the auto repair shop you need! They are the best. I had been having trouble with my turn signals not working and was told at another shop I needed my hazard switch replaced. Well, I had that done and my signals worked...for about a week. Took it back to this other shop and after replacing the hazard switch once again...signals still didnt work and they didnt have a clue as to why. I found Guaranteed Auto online and decided to give them a try. I am so glad I did. I dropped off my car and they gave me a ride home. Within a few hours they called me and explained in detail what the problem was. My car was ready to go the next day and they came and picked me up to get it. Cant say enough good things about the staff here. They are just great people! Very rare these days and I thank them so very much! I went in for my state inspection and they made the time to fit me in even though it was so late in the day. I called several shops trying to get my car calibrated. When I called here, the gentleman I spoke to was very polite and professional. He gave me all the information I needed to make an informed decision. When I arrived I was immediately greeted and assisted. I was offered something to drink (which I accepted) and even a snack. Harry and Chuck and Teddy were so helpful with me and my car. They are fast and affordable! I am still fairly new to Hampton so it was hard for me to make a decision on a helpful auto shop. Best decision to take our vehicle to Guaranteed Auto! After an unpleasant experience at another shop, I was hesitant to go anywhere else. As life happens, it was time for our inspection. These guys were super helpful. Got a bolt in my tire that needed patching. They were extremely busy but made sure all my tires were inflated and gave a great recommendation, that was close, on where to get it in time. They did what they could but made sure they gave direction the best possible.

5 Stars is not enough for Guaranteed Auto Services. [Condensed version- Take your car here you will not be disappointed. Good honest people that choose to do the right thing!] My daughter is a student at Christopher Newport University and she was set to come home, but her car would not start. I started the search for a repair facility that was over 100 miles away, if you have ever had to do this you can appreciate my concern. I called around to a few places, but I wasnt getting that warm and fuzzy feeling I needed to have in order to trust sending them to meet my daughter and tow her car. All my concerns and worry were gone when I called Guaranteed Auto Services. They had the tow truck on its way in 30 minutes, called me and my daughter to let us know when they would be there and arrived on time. The tow truck driver was a gentleman and did not alarm or cause any concern for my daughter. They towed the car to their shop and called me a few hours later to tell me what was needed to repair the car. I had several conversations with Harry and he was extremely helpful, courteous and kind. He explained everything to me and provided a quote. The part that was needed had to be ordered as it is not a typical part to go bad on this car. I, of course, thought OK here it comes he is going to tell me this part cost $500.00, nope not at all, the part was $37.00. I know there are places out there that would take advantage of this situation, with a daughter over 100 miles away at school, car wont start, and she needed to get out of her dorm by the end of the week. Harry let me know that they would handle everything and not to concern myself with the car, Harry was right. They did an excellent job on the car, fixed the starter and the quote was accurate too. And they washed the exterior of the car to boot. Absolutely unbelievable!!

Last week I took my wife’s Nissan Altima to Guaranteed Auto Service in Newport News for a VA State Inspection & Oil change. This was the 2nd time I have used this shop since moving to Hampton July 2020.When we moved to Hampton, I immediately began searching for a family owned & operated auto repair shop. I have not been disappointed!This shop is laser-focused on providing great customer-service, and top quality work at an affordable price point. They are not going to perform unnecessary work. They treat you like family (a friendly greeting & cold bottled water when you walk in the door; free car wash before you pick up your car and Thank You Note on the seat). You just don’t find many businesses like this nowadays!Mr Barr & his great team will get ALL my auto repair/routine maintenance business in the future. When someone asks me where to take their vehicles for maintenance & repairs needs, I am sending them to Guaranteed Auto Repair in Newport News!

I was recommended to this mechanic from a trustable coworker who has been going here for years . My car shut off on me and I was stranded and they came and towed my car in less than twenty minutes. All workers were very nice, courteous and professional. They were able to work with me as a college student which could have been potentially been a huge burden for me and I greatly appreciate them for all their kindness! They also left me a thank you card from them which I thought was a nice and personable gesture. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone

So very thankful for these honest professionals. My family went on a trip, without me, and their SUV broke down on Sunday afternoon. They were able to get a ride to their hotel in Va Beach. I found Guaranteed on line and saw excellent reviews.We towed the car to them and they discovered a broken drive shaft and other significant problems.They were very helpful and ended up having to shift from their original diagnostic to a different one that they managed to get done by the time my family had to leave.It was reassuring to know my family was in capable hands. Im not a car guy but my brother in law is. He builds his own race cars. He talked to the mechanics and told me he was very comdortable. Apparently they talked racing and my brother in law could tell they were expert.We are from Pa and i know we could have been easily taken advantage of but I checked their prices and they were in line.These people were great!Thank you Guaranteed! When I came in, I came for my speedometer to be calibrated, and everyone was very friendly and welcoming just walking into the office! They got me taken care of super quick and had a fair price, definitely better than other places around them! If I wasn’t moving from Virginia, I would definitely be coming back here!!

Googled For state auto inspections in Hampton Roads and found them online. They offer access through their website portal, so I filled out a request for my dad’s car. Company representative called me back the next morning, offered a 7:30 appointment the next Monday morning. Although the company doesn’t communicate via mobile text, their representative offered to send the an email with the address and time, which he did (I’d called several other shops and couldn’t remember where they were). As the shop is near the Newport News Shipyard, dad insisted we arrive early at 7:10 am. Shop Owner Mr. Barr was there, invited us in, offered coffee, water & snacks as we waited. Mr. Barr and his staff were very solicitous of my dad, offered him a senior discount, checked the air filters, which definitely needed changing. While we waited for servicing, others will given rides to home or office for pickup later today. Best auto service shop ever!

Wanting to get the best deal on work performed on my 16 year old Lincoln, I shopped around, knowing this repair was going to be quite expensive. There were many other problems that needed to be addressed. I took it to a dealership that specialized in this particular make first. I was blown away by the outrageous cost!!! I knew the repairs were going to cost more than the value of my car and felt I was going to be forced to purchased another auto. A family member did some research on the internet and after talking to Cindy at Guaranteed Auto, he was so impressed with her understanding and knowledge of what needed to be done, that he called me immediately. I was immediately greeted by everyone in the room. It caught me off guard because I have never had an experience like that at any auto shop. They also did an excellent job with my 2010 Cadillac CTS. I got coolant, brake, and transmission flushes, as well as a front brake service and fuel injection. It is riding very smoothly now. I will be returning for all my maintenance.

Then they go above and beyond with shuttle service (provided by the owner, no less!), they cleaned the interior and exterior of my car, remembered my name (and pronounced it correctly!), suggested maintenance service plans that make sense while watching my budget. I called in a complete panic, brand new to Virginia from Florida, my car had ran hot and im far from home and here working a crisis for the state hospital, this shop really saved me, I was able to make arrangements over the phone for them to tow my car from the hotel im staying and get it looked out and handle without having to miss any kinda of work, and I must say I laughed all day about the man named ike said dont risk for the biscuit about attempting to drive my car to there shop, they would just come get it, lol complete life savers.
