I found Dons business online, and I called to get a repair checked out that the dealership found. The dealership gave me an outrageous quote, and when I spoke with Don, he found minimal issues. He was able to repair the issue for a low cost and assured me hed be there to help if it needed future repairs!

My family has been going to Don for years. When I called him and explained what was going on and asked to take a look at my truck he told me I dont get into peoples problems like this that he wont work on my truck with an irritated attitude. I just want to know what the cause of the humming noises when Im driving. Ive already had my wheel bearings replaced. I know its not my tires. It has something to do with the 4 wheel drive system. when Im in two wheel drive the humming noises there, when I put it in 4 high the humming noise goes away.

I’ve been to Don’s twice. Both times I’ve been treated kindly and have had my car fixed quickly and at a good price. The people here are honest and they know their stuff. As a young woman going into a repair shop alone can be scary, but the people here are trustworthy. If you are a person who doesn’t know much about cars, like me, you do not have to worry about being ripped off or lied to at this place. As long as I live in this area, only Don’s will be working on my cars.

I recently took my vehicle here for a second opinion on a rather expensive repair that was recommended by another local repair shop. Don evaluated my vehicle and told me that I did not need to get this repair done saving me an enormous amount of money. Don is an honest man. They are amazing. So I had a bad experience with the dealership and a franchise auto brand. I called Don and he took care of my issue promptly. Great customer service. Great prices. They DO NOT try to manipulate women and raise the prices like other chauvinistic auto shops. Don always makes his customers laugh and I swear I had a great morning hanging with Shawn, Don and the other mechanic. (I forgot his name but he was funny.) As long as I live in VA they will be my mechanics. I can not say thank you enough!!!!

Horrible customer service. Called to schedule a appointment to do engine work, he said it was too hard? So I’m assuming he only does easy jobs like tires and brakes since working on engines is to hard even though it’s a mechanic shop. Never heard a shop say that.

I have used this shop for years!!! Honest Trustworthy Genuine. My Mom say: Tryna find an honest mechanic is like tryna find a needle in a haystack... well, Don & Shawn are those needles! I have had to go to other shops when they did not inspect & it has always ended in a nightmare of idiocy! Theyve always had my business - now that they inspect, they have my business full-circle forever! In fact, my car is being fixed as I write this.

Basically, the mechanic shop you wish you had found years ago. I have three vehicles and I used to bring them each to different dealer shops hoping that the expertise was worth the effort.I finally ended up bringing each of the vehicles to Don and now Dons Auto is the only place I will take them from now on. He has always told me exactly what was needed and they always get the job done faster than I expect them to and for less cost than any place around Ive dealt with.

Don replaced my engine in a 2003 Grand Am. He was very honest, came in $2000 under other offers. He stands behind his work and has been great to deal with.

My mothers vehicle was left parked in the same place for a whole day before they began to work on it, therefore the vehicle was not finished when they said it would be. Their was no difference in the price for labor considering all of that either.

I called to ask for a quote to install some fox 2.0 struts and he immediately said no that it was too difficult. He clearly didn’t understand how to install them and told me to do it myself. He also asked why I wouldn’t just do it. One of the reasons was because I didn’t have the tools like a torque wrench. He laughed and said I didn’t need a torque wrench. Which is absolutely not a good idea at all and dangerous as well. If you want to break bolts from over torquing or have your car fall apart from under torquing bolts then sure go here. I was not impressed with the lack of understanding how to install struts or the complacency of not using a torque wrench.
