We hired Synergy Consultants for 3 reasons:1) Our restaurant opened in 1984 and while we are profitable each year, we felt we had a bit of tunnel vision and lacked perspective when it came to current culinary trends and procedures. We needed to become more efficient and contemporary without drastically changing a proven concept.2) We were seeking a creative way to combat minimum wage increases rather than just raising prices.3) The development where our restaurant is located is going to get remodeled soon. They delivered much more, the final project included a Concept Book, a Financial pro forma and an updated restaurant concept for my FEC business plan. They were always professional, had extensive market expertise and had a lot of patience with some of my crazy ideas. I will forever be grateful for their help.

Absolutely TERRIBLE. If I could leave zero stars I would. I found Synergy Restaurant Concepts by way of a Google search query. I was looking for a team of consultants with experience in new restaurant concept development, menu research/development. Initially, I called the (888) phone number on their website and the directory requests you to state your name and takes you through weird prompts as if they are a 3rd party company outsourcing your inquiry. No one picked up and I was prompted to leave a voicemail (I was leery of this considering I called during business hours). I followed up and submitted an inquiry on their website with my contact information and details regarding my new restaurant concept. Hours later, I received an e-mail from Mandy DeLucia a Project Coordinator at Synergy who wanted to set up a call for Dean Small CEO of Synergy. We confirmed a call time for 10:00am two days out. Fast forwarding.... Dean called me 2 hours after our scheduled call, which he left me a voicemail stating he had meetings all day and was tied up. I never received communication stating this. COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL & RUDE... Needless to say, I called him back the same day and everything went completely downhill. I imagined the call to be an opportunity where he introduced the company, I introduced my plans for opening a new restaurant and him suggesting services to best fit my needs. Then, us moving forward to execute. Instead, Dean asked me questions about me and my business partners background (which are both very relevant to our business concept) and shot our whole idea down consistently in saying the restaurant business is hard, and he can never see us making the amount of money required to maintain. As mentioned at the top of this post, TERRIBLE - from start to finish. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Save yourself the headache from unprofessionalism and being talked out of your own business concept/ideas. Typically, I dont reach out to businesses who dont have practical reviews from users to leave honest opinions such as Yelp, etc. but I went out on a whim with this company due to their clean and concise website. I sure do wish I there were HONEST reviews posted about this company. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
