Staff are fantastic and really go the extra mile. Check-in is organized and clean bathrooms. Paid parking in the street is good value and you can refill on the mobile app; the parking garage is $2 per 20 minutes. The boats are pretty slow, but not like speed is needed just cruising around the channel.Prices are quite good for a big group.Will be back!

It was fun and relaxing bringing the family out for a tour of Newport Marina. You see beautiful homes and Balboa Island, as well as the ferry that takes u to and from. The boat seats about 13 people comfortably, which I was concerned at first sight. It looked smaller but once aboard all 12 passengers fit and there was plenty of elbow room. The ride lasts 90 min. and anyone in the party can drive the boat! Staff is helpful and friendly👍🏽

I work for an assisted living facility. We rented two boats from Newport Fun Tours and I can not express how lovely everyone was to the seniors and myself. First time on a Duffy boat & I choose Newport fun tours and it did not disappoint. After all the research they offered the most time in the water with the most searing for the perfect price! The check in was soooo easy. I booked online and they provided the waivers online so I had that all completed before the trip so when I got there all I had to do was check in and enjoy the boat ride.The boat ride was amazing so peaceful and so easy to get around the harbor. We got to take our own food and drinks and had the freedom to ride around the whole harbor. I will definitely be booking again! Thank you Newport fun tours!

This is the most amazing experience in Newport from beginning to end. Booking is super simple and the agents are extremely informative and helpful over the phone. When checking in, the process is well-organized and the staff are fantastic. The dock staff are lively and fun. The cruise around the harbor was awesome and we even saw a baby dolphin near the jetty! If time allows, go on the two-hour cruise anytime during the day or up to three hours if you are going before noon!!! You will not be disappointed! This is the third Duffy boat rental company Ive used over the years and it is by far the best. They were organized. They took all the covid precautions that were necessary. They provided a perfect map for the tour and we had a blast! Highly recommend using them. The one thing that would be nice is if they would validate the parking which was a little pricey.

We had a great time with my friends from Scottsdale . Our ckin and departure was seamless.We brought our adult beverages and snack foods to enjoy our 2 hr cruise. We brought a BT speaker incase they were out.Our Duffy could use some TLC paint touch up. The awning was new.Terrific time.

Once again I used Newport Fun Tours to rent a Duffy boat. The crew is very organized and they get you on the water right on time. No waiting!! The boats are very clean which is important. The crew member that put us in our boat was through in explaining the boat and safety measures. He also was the crew member that met us at the end of our rental. The staff was very professional, reviewing the boat operations, and recommending routes for the 2 hours we booked. We would definitely use them again and highly recommend them to anyone else.

Everyone was very helpful and friendly. Nice kayaks. However, the public parking garage in this complex is rather pricey: $15 for two and a half hours. It is super convenient thus worth it. But adds up for multiple cars in a group - friends should consider carpooling or ride sharing.

We had a great time! We did a 90 minute rental at 4 pm on a Saturday. There were 9 of us so we rented a 12 person Duffy. We were celebrating the 28th anniversary of some friends with all our kids. We took a cooler on board with drinks and charcuterie boxes as well as our own bluetooth speaker even though you can use one of theirs. There was a bit of a traffic jam when we returned. No one was ready to navigate us back in so there were like 5 different Duffys hanging out near the docks and we almost crashed into a couple boats. But it all worked out and would definitely do it again. Highly recommend for any occasion or just because.

Wonderful experience! We rented a 12 passenger Duffy Boat for my moms 70th birthday and had a wonderful time! We brought cheese, crackers, chips, drinks, candy, wine and cake abored our little Duffy. We enjoyed the beautiful homes, listening to music, and just being able to hang out in a different way since were limited with Covid. Our check in time was 7 pm so it was obvious it was going to be dark and cold. We just layered our clothes, bundled up the kids, brought blankets, and everyone was fine. However I want to mention because its dark its a little harder to see the boats and buoys. Theres no lights, or warnings indicating that theyre there, so its best to stay focused, and maybe have a lookout. Other then that, the ride is great, relaxing, and the scenery is beautiful!.....As far as the staff goes they’re all amazing and helpful! From booking with Nicole, to checking in with Bri. Nicole was very accommodating, detailed, and sweet. She helped make my reservation an easy process. Bri couldnt have made it easier to check in, and also had a great attitude. Javier, and Luis were very friendly, and upbeat. They were on top of everything, and engaged in great conversation with all of us. Very cool guys, and we all had a great experience! My mom really enjoyed her party on the water lol. Definitely recommend!!

The staff was super friendly and the price was fair. However, the boat was in pretty rough shape. I wasnt entertaining or anything and was just with the family, so it wasnt a big deal, but if I had been using the duffy as an outing with guests, it wouldnt have impressed. I suggest Newport Fun Tours do a once-over on their fleet. Cant beat the scenery and the weather was perfect. All around it was a great day.

Waited 5 minutes or so while they prepped the boat. Jason helped us on-board, explained the controls ( including the Bluetooth audio system) and his instructions were clear and unhurried. Sailed the bay and had a great afternoon. Restrooms are super clean. Would go back just to enjoy the serenity of being on the water.

When we arrived it was very busy but they took us down to our duffy with a short wait. The young woman at check in was super friendly. The young man that helped us onto and off the boat was also very friendly and knowledgeable. The boats are comfortable and easy to steer. We will be back.

There is a current Groupon deal for this lovely harbor cruise.90 minutes was not enough for us to make the full circuit, so we had to turn back sooner. You will be charged a penalty for each minute you are late. It was a beautiful day and a relaxing getaway.

Amazing Fun! Crewmembers were great! Excellent customer service skills. The boat was a little worn out which is to be expected due to being constantly booked. I really appreciated that they took notes of minor damage and allowed me to add my own. That way we don’t get charged for something that we didn’t create. We were allowed to bring our own alcohol and food. There was a Bluetooth connection on the boat. Highly recommend going during sunset. It was beautiful. They told us to download a map which made navigating the waters super easy. Amazing time and we will definitely book again!

Absolutely wonderful experience on the water! However, not great service. This is now the second time I have had a Duffy boat ride through this company. My first experience was much different from the last time. In my first experience, we rented a Duffy boat to celebrate my fiancé’s graduation. We were given a physical copy of the map and boundaries of where we could drive, and when we boarded the boat we were given a brief explanation on how to operate the boat and hook up the Bluetooth speaker inside. None of that was given this last time around. My interaction with two of the employees was nice and welcoming, but they gave zero instructions. The lady at the front desk did not inform me that I needed to scan a QR code see the map and its boundaries. After I had informed her that my whole party had arrived, she gave me my papers and told me to go ahead and wait on the dock. As my party and I get down on the docks, we were immediately told to leave the dock and wait up top for our boat to be ready and that we will be called down when it is ready. Well, as we head back up, my scheduled time for our boat was at 12:30, and we were told by a dock hand that our boat was being prepped. There were 4 other boat hands on the dock, but no one was prepping a boat. In fact, these boat hands were taking their lunch in the boats. It was not until 12:55 that we were finally let onto our boat. We waited an additional 10 minutes for a dock hand to give us the go ahead. He gave no instruction on how to operate the boat. For many of the people in my party, most had not been in a boat or driven one before. Once we had pushed off and started to drive around it was a lot of fun, and I had a good grasp on how to drive the boat thanks to my previous time out. So in all, I write this so others can have a very fun experience on the water, but if you are booking with this company make sure to ask lots of questions when there. To ask for the map if not told (even though they should tell you right away). Most importantly, ask how to drive the boat!

I unfortunately had a poor experience before even getting to use their boats. I called in advance to purchasing a Groupon and was told to move forward with purchasing the Groupon and even was given instructions on how to book a day for my ticket redemption. So I proceeded with the purchase and come to find out, there was not a single day available for reservation, two days said sold out and every other day was not even an option. I checked their availability on their website prior to purchasing, and it said there was plenty of availability. I called them back and was told that they only have certain boats designated for Groupon purchases and they sell out fast. They did not offer any sort of support or apology for the inconvenience. Then I had to go through the whole process of contacting Groupon customer service to request a refund and was only able to get credit in Groupon bucks 👍🏼 Disappointed and kind of a waste of time.

We have been uising Newport Fun Tours for over 10 years. We come in every couple of months. We bring our dogs ( which are in their system ZERO hassel). The guys on the dock our super great! Dont forget to tip them:) Parking is the best part of their location ! Cleanest bathrooms and during COVID they have been very careful. My mother who is older didnt want to stay in the line, they put her on the boat first. Cant say enough about this place!

The staff was fun, but the speaker system on the boat didn’t work to accommodate that they also gave us a bluetooth speaker which died as soon as we pulled off… So we didn’t have any music to listen to… smh

They have the worst and oldest boats and I do not recommend this place at all! Worst price and service! You will definitely have the worst experience with them.

Overall, my experience was not great. I have rented from many duffy locations in Newport over the years, and my experience with Newport Fun Tours was my least favorite. Their system for getting into your duffy is quite stressful (long line, unsure of when you will be called). Once we got onto our duffy (20 minutes after our reservation, even though we checked in 15 minutes prior), we asked the employee helping us whether there was a Bluetooth speaker for us to use. He blatantly ignored us and we had to actually call over someone else because he refused to answer or speak. Our duffy was extremely basic (little table space, dirty, no plastic covers to pull down). At the start of our ride, we could tell the boat was struggling to go and made very loud noises when the gas was pushed. About an hour and a half into our reservation, the forward drive function broke. After restarting the duffy a multiple times, we were able to get the drive function working again, but it was a very scary experience considering how crowded the water can get on a Saturday in the summer. The only reason that this review is not lower than 3 stars is because the cost of our reservation was refunded due to the drive function incident, which was appreciated. Unfortunately, I will not be using Newport Fun Tours in the future.

Best prices. EASY reserve, excellent cancel policy. Easy parking (fee) w/elevator, clean bathrooms and handicap access. FAST checkin and boarding. Two 91 year olds boarded safely and easily with help from charming, careful dock masters who helped depart from a tight slip (don’t forget the tip box!) Boats are well-used but clean and get up to speed quickly (remember, they’re electric). The 1 1/2 hr route represents all aspects of the harbor well, but you need 2 hrs, which was easy to extend via cell phone. (They graciously start the clock when you actually leave the slip.) The route map was adequate, but might add dock and dine locations with info. Upholstery was good, interior clean, life jackets new looking. No firstaid kit that I saw. The table was slanted with cleats on the tabletop, causing spills, but not a deal breaker. Bluetooth speakers provided, but we enjoyed the quiet of the boat moving through the water. We have rented the Duffy boats for years and this was the first time we have had windows. They were just filthy and when we told the worker, he said it was the plexiglass. We own a Duffy with windows and not stupid, we know the difference between dirty and scratched. He reluctantly wiped only one of the windows as he realized we were right, and did a bad job at that.

After taking my money with Groupon they never had available time to book a reservation, I tried 7 different times and dates within 2 months but they were always booked, Even though the slot showed its available to “BUY” but was not available for Groupon customers to book... In their Groupon page they say it is available on those time and dates (before you pay) but they change their mind after they get paid. They were really rude on the phone too. They’re all about money and want lots of it but their boats are all old and slow. I do NOT RECOMMEND them!!!

Whaaat an ordeal?!? I purchased a groupon for an 8 person boat with a Monday -Thursday restriction. It was 110$ for 1.5 hours( normal price is 185$). When I went to book the reservation through the groupon website, for a Tuesday, it stated that the company was comepletely booked through 2021 so no reservations were available. However, when I went to the Newport Fun Tours website, there were times available on the Tuesday that I wanted, but only for full price. I get it, they want to maximize profit but I had already purchased the groupon. I called 10 times to speak to a human just to explain my situation. No answer what so ever. Then I received a txt saying, “sorry we missed you, what was the purpose of your call?” I explained my situation through text and they basically said I’d have to get a refund from Groupon although they did actually have times available, they just refused to work with me. I proceeded to navigate the complaint process with Groupon and finally recieved a refund but just know that the customer service at Newport Fun Tours is NONEXISTENT!! There are plenty of other places to rent Duffys and I suggest you skip the hassle of Newport “GIVE YOU THE RUNAROUND “tours. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
