I referred a friend for a massage but it was such a bad experience for my friend. She was not able to get the massage because the massage therapist did not show up. She should have been told the therapist was not there. Maxsage Envy keeps part of cleints payment but if the therapist doesnt show up clients get an attitude from the staff just like my friend experience.

This location is the worst of the franchise. We came in (two of us) for deep tissue massage and had the worst experience. To begin, my therapist had no idea he had a massage and was late to my appointment. He then began the massage with ice cold hands which was very unpleasant. Neither one of the therapist were able to provide deep pressure during our massage as we requested when booking our appointments. I asked about 4 times during the massage for more pressure. The therapist would do it for a minute and then go back to lightly caressing my back.Then after the disappointing massage, I emailed them right away, they did not get back to me. After submitting the ME survey online, they finally reached out. They offered to make new appointments for us with a better fit therapist and along with this a free 30 minute upgrade. The best part is that the branch is expecting us (yes, the dissatisfied customer) to pay for a new session to give them a second chance. They are really out of their mind! I hope they come to their senses and refund us for the horrible massage we had at their location. Below is the email they send us, and then they expected us to pay. Be aware of this place.

Wow! I was surprised to see the rating after I went here. I was very pleased with the front desk staff. Especially the gal that helped me. She knew her stuff and made sure I truly enjoyed my visit by making sure I was guided into the right treatment. The massage was spot on. I enjoyed stretching and percussion therapy too. Happy guy, booked again. Thank you.

Why does this name annoy me?Atmosphere well its in Newport Beach and its close 2 family so I go there when I visit,Points for cleanliness and also relaxing atmosphere... Massage therapists pretty good.

Poor staff and bad ownership. The person performing the massage was very unprofessional. I am even left the massage early. I asked to speak to a manager and/or owner and I was very called back which was disappointing. It shows they dont care about their business. I will be going to MASSAGE HEIGHTS off of MAcArthur from now on. They seem to be able to be professional over at MASSAGE HEIGHTS. Maybe next time you Massage Envy people roll your eyes at a customer and not call your upset customer back, maybe you will think twice. Newport has options for this type service; some options far FAR better than this dump. Treat your customers with respect
