Weve used Shepards before for repairs done through our insurance company. Theyve always done a great job no only on the repair but also in dealing with the insurance company. I took my newest car for an estimate to fix some scratches. They spent 15 minutes cleaning up the area I was concerned with to the point where I dont need what would have been an $800 repair. To say I walked away happy would be an understatement. Nicely done, Shepards!

I totally trust and love Shepards Auto Center. I have bringing all of my cars there for years! They recently repaired a key scratch on my new Outback. The car looks great and the service was wonderful even during these pandemic times!

When a speeding, out-of-control driver sideswiped my Mercedes coupe, ripping off the front clip and causing thousands of dollars in damage, I drove it straight to Shepards. Working their magic, as usual, they completely restored my car back to its formerly pristine condition, and my 2014 E Coupe looks brand-new again. I dont know how Shepards does it, but Im glad they do!

I have used Shepards Automotive over the past 10 years. This past time was particularly appreciated after having my car damaged after having been stolen while visiting my family out of state. They took care of everything that was involved, from having my car brought back to Mass, repairing the damage, arranging for detailing, and dealing with my insurance company. They helped reduce the difficulty involved with such a stressful event. I highly recommend them, and will continue to use their services if needed in the future.

I’m new to Newburyport and recently got in an auto accident. Shepard’s provided exceptional service throughout the process. Unfortunately my car was a total loss they gave me expert advice and handed everything. I highly recommend Shepard’s.

Horrible communication. Deceptive charges, began work that was unauthorized both by myself and the insurance company despite being explicitly told by me not to. Infact they didnt even perform the work, they just took a side part off, broke the tail light in the process and replaced the tail light and billed me $1000 for that, separate from the money they were given for performing the actual repair on the car. Throughout they communicated with me via text messages stating I owed $0 and everything was covered by insurance. Only to find out the day they called me to pick up the car that I owed $1000 out of pocket for an accident where I was hit from behind, due to their incompetence and inability to follow directions. Very deceptive and money extorting practice. Stay away from these daylight thieves.

I have had all body work done over the years at Shepherds from a small parking lot dent to major work resulting from being broadsided. They are always friendly, honest and punctual. I am pleased to recommend them without reservation.

Shepards Auto Center is fantastic. Theyre a place of calm in the stressful scenario of collision repair, and their staff is personable and communicative. I went to Shepards for a no-fault fender-bender (my first), and they walked me through each step of the process, filling in unknown information with quickness and allaying my worries about liability. They even turned around my car 4 days earlier than the initial estimate. Great staff (with a nice old dog at the entrance), and professional all the way through.

I have been doing business with Shepards Automotive Center for at least 30 years as the business has passed on from father to son without a change in the high quality of work. When my cars have needed repairs, Shepards has provided superior service. They work extremely well with my insurance company, too, which minimizes my worries about payments. Most importantly, my vehicles look as good if not better as when I first purchased them.

I cant say enough good things about Shepards Automotive Center in Newburyport. I needed auto body work twice in the last 6 months (once my fault, once not my fault) and both times the staff was helpful and friendly, and the turnaround time was better than expected. Another nice thing about Shepards is that they are located right across the street from Enterprise Rental Car, so you can drop you car off at Shepards, then walk across the street to get your rental car while your car is in the shop.

They did a nice job with the auto body work (I think most shops do though). What sets then apart is the people, everyone in the office is friendly and helpful. I worked with Joe and he was very friendly and helpful through the whole process. He knows how to handle the paperwork and insurance companys. I didnt have one issue through the whole process.

Shepards was truly the best customer service in this area. I called multiple locations who wanted to charge me just to run a code or to even walk in the door. Shepards welcomed me down literally the next day and provided a thorough estimate and explanation of the work I needed done. They were totally clear about the parts and cost. Would recommend to anyone.

Process was easy. Did a nice job on my Subaru Outback after a rear-ended collision. One odd thing: website has incomplete pages regarding warranty and other info, and when asked over email about warranty and other questions, reply was quick but invited me to come in, rather than answer my basic questions. Everything turned out good, though.

After or collision we got top notch service. There was a significant delay when we got warranty work done. The problem was not their fault but the delay was. I will return next time I need body work.

Dealing with an auto repair problem (mechanical) or as a result of a collision, is always stressful. The owner and staff at Shepards Auto Center could not have been nicer. Since dealing with cancer and often times not able to communicate after my frequent surgeries, I find/found that Shepards went above and beyond the call of duty. They repaired my car to near perfection. They worked with the insurance adjuster directly so that I didnt needed the added worry and concern.
