I have been using Jimmy for 10 years or more and I wouldnt go anywhere else to have my car worked on. Jimmy is honest and trustworthy. Hes by far the best mechanic Ive ever used. He knows his stuff and will not use cheap parts, because he knows that the problem will just arise again, so when he fixes your car...He really fixes your car. Needed car inspected to transfer plates. Called and was able to get in right after leaving DMV. Friendly and fast.

Does not follow NYS Inspection guidelines. Refused to inspect my car (which is illegal) because I have a tinted window exemption. Was extremely rude and chased me out of his shop. He would not even allow me to show him the tint exemption. As per #10 you can see he did not follow protocol. Turned away because I have an exemption due to a disability. So I would say not only horrible customer service, but uneducated to his line of work. And discriminatory towards individuals with disabilities if unwilling to inspect their cars. (He was the owner). Long story short the next place I went gave me no issues, saw the tint exemption, and gave me the legal NYS Inspection needed.Window TintNote: If a windshield or a window, through observation, clearly meets the required visible light transmittance standard, it is not necessary to use the tint meter. Vehicles displaying a valid MV-80W.2 “Exempt Tinted Windows” sticker need not be inspected for window tint.Model year 1991 or older vehicles:(a) Inspect the windshield for proper visible light transmittance.(b) Inspect all side windows for proper visible light transmittance.(c) Inspect the rear window of any vehicle that is not equipped with dual outside rearview mirrors for proper visible light transmittance.Model year 1992 or newer vehicles:(d) Inspect the windshield for proper visible light transmittance.(e) Inspect all side windows adjacent to or forward of the driver’s seating position for proper visible light transmittance.(f) Inspect the rear window of any vehicle that is not equipped with dual outside rearview mirrors for proper visible light transmittance.(a) Any part of the windshield below the top 6 inches allows less than 35% visible light transmittance.(b) Any part of the window allows less than 35% visible light transmittance.(c) Any part of the rear window allows less than 35% visible light transmittance.(d) Any part of the windshield below the top 6 inches allows less than 70% visible light transmittance.(e) Any part of any side window adjacent to or forward of the driver’s seating position allows less than 70 % light transmittance.(f) Any part of the rear window allows less than 70% visible light transmittance.

Jimmys auto care is a great shop to bring your car, they are honest and fare. I brought my car in because my exhaust system was hanging to low, and he had me in and out in minuets. I would definitely recommend that you bring your car here, I know I will be back again.

The honesty and integrity showed to me by these folks, well there really are no words to describe the weight of the burden that was lifted off my shoulders when I dropped my car off. They treated me better than family and fixed my car as if I were driving their children in it. And when my last car wasnt worth fixing, they were completely truthful about it, as opposed to making me pay for things that werent really going to help the car in the long run. I would, and do every chance I get, recommend the Contis to anyone...

TOTAL GYP!! This man charged me $50, just to tell me what was wrong with my vehicle! The information he told me was info that I already knew. When I first dropped it off he says, “I won’t charge you ANYTHING unless I call you first and give you a quote.” He has the audacity to call me at work to tell me that he did a diagnostic and gives me this whole list of what’s wrong with my car and then tells me that Just for him pulling all the plugs out of my car would cost me $50 and then says if you want everything else fixed it will be $400!! First off he knew that I am a struggling young woman, also that I don’t know vehicles like that so he wanted to charge me what ever he could get out of me!! DO NOT CHOOSE THIS SPOT! GO TO AN AUTO STORE LIKE ADVANCED AUTO PARTS OR AUTO ZONE! At least they will help you figure out more info on your problems genuinely!!

Jimmys is the ONLY place I will bring my vehicle! Hes honest, fair, good pricing for great work. Ill NEVER go to places like Monro ever again, theyre ripoffs! Wish I had room to share my stories why! He does not cheap out on parts, unlike some others claims here... in fact hes talked me out of doing that (remand parts) 1-2x, BECAUSE he cant warranty the part... He WANTS your car repaired properly, the first time! And to stay repaired. My car is 17 years old, and I know he wishes Id get newer, because he truly feels bad when I have to have larger work done (eg, cv axles). If you want an honest, hardworking, CARING mechanic, then this is the ONLY place to go! Wish Id found him for my previous car!
