I have contacted social security on different occasions to schedule appointments, today I have tried several times to contact a representative only to be mistreated. After providing all the information to verify who I was representative Mrs Mortimer would not assist me with rescheduling my appointment for my sister who is disabling and unable to speak, when I was the person that schedule the appointment in the first place. How can you allow me to schedule the appointment and not let me reschedule. What’s going to happen when the day came for the appointment and no one will be there to answer the call. When I asked to speak to another representative she would not transfer me or get a supervisor on the line. That she would have a supervisor call me in 3 days. The appointment is scheduled for within 3 days. Called back to try another representative only to have them answer the call and disconnect before they even said hello, the third try representative verified my information when she was able to which the line to an interpreter the call was disconnected. I would definitely like to hear from the supervisor for an explanation on how this type of service can be acceptable from their representative. This was an horrible experience and I feel bad that the seniors that don’t have anyone to help them and have to deal with this type of service. God help us all if this is who we have to depend on when we need social security assistances.
I dont know how those people are getting hired for government institutions,I called 2 times, both times, just because they did not have any knowledge on information they just hang up, they have zero knowledge, how? please tell me how they work there without no clue or any kind of knowledge on information they have to provide to people, lady was so rude, did not know a single thing and just hang up on me, ridiculous!!!! I wish I knew her name, just because she needs to be fired

Went here today for social security number. I was told by a security officer that this place is not a Social Security Admin Office but a U.S. Customs. He gave me a piece of paper with printed address of the office on Broad St.; I assume lots of people came only to find that it is a security office no more. If you have anything with Social Security, you need to go to the following address:SOCIAL SECURITY970 Broad St.Newark, NJ 0710210th floor
