I personally have been fortunate to come across nice, informative and helpful employees here. Ive read the reviews. Im sorry you have had a not so pleasurable experience. Remember we all are human not robots and have bad days. I understand while working w public no excuse. If you find youre not getting anywhere you go up the change of command and if you get no where w the top then you are able to call the state n give them your concerns maybe attorney general.. I have had nothing but good experiences while working with Sandy at LCJFS. She has helped me several times with issues on my dad’s long term healthcare case and was a complete joy to work with. I had reservations when I first went there but Sandy quickly put me at ease and helped me navigate through all the red tape. Could not have done it without her and I’m pleased to say she is one of the kindest people I ever met

I highly recommend not fostering through Licking County Job and family services. I have found through personal experience that they are very dishonest and lack any integrity. They spin stories to best suit them regardless if they are true or not.Even with voice recordings, text messages, emails and other clear and blatant records of multiple lies from multiple caseworkers and investigators nobody is willing to look into their deceitful practices. They are operating with out checks and balances and our community is suffering because of it.I recommend not fostering or supporting them in any way.

They illegally take special needs kids from the wrong custodial parent then hide them from the one that has every legal right to them. Then laugh and say good luck. If I were you I’d download their policy and procedure manual and memorize it. Come to find out the teachers at school were causing the bruise marks and yet they didn’t go after them. If I could give a 0 star rating I would. And if your case worker is a Woman with a four letter last name, god help you cause she is dirty and will do nothing to stop and get your child.

It seems that you get your number but they are always allowing people who dont read the sign that says pick a number and have a seat end up getting helped before the people who are actually doing what they should be doing and also allowing children to run around and be noisy when people who maybe hard of hearing CAN NOT HEAR THE NUMBERS BEING CALLED .AND AGAIN TODAY I HAVE TO GO BACK AND HAVE THINGS SCANNED THAT ALREADY HAVE BEEN BECAUSE I HAVE THE RECEIPTS WHERE THEY SCANNED IT BUT YET NO ONE CAN FIND IT IN THE SYSTEM AND I ASKED TO SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR AND I AM TRANSFERRED TO ONE WHO WONT BE IN UNTIL THURSDAY. Someone needs to retrain the staff and remind them that they are employees of the government. OH Thats right they work rather just get a pay check but fail at doing the JOB Correctly

This is an office full of wasted tax money. They dont offer any services. Dont have social workers or case workers to assist you. Are very rude and cold hearted. Basically they pay a building full of people to tell everyone to go to a website or call a phone number. There is no help of any kind to be found here. Job and family disservice is more accurate.

Since separating from the military, their veterans employment specialist has helped me land every job Ive had. They have great resources and leads if you are willing to follow and use them.

Edit: I would like to update this after the response from the owner- I only wrote this review after calling in to see what can be done about the numerous poor experiences I have had with lcjfs, and the person I spoke with was not interested in these issues so my review is an unfortunate last resort to making my voice heard.How is this place legal??? I’ve been told on multiple occasions people are sending me paper work, updating my profile, taking care of everything, only to call back weeks or months later and find out no one ever actually did their job. I’m about to see if I can score a job there, knowing I won’t ever actually have to do any work!

Some of you people are very rude and unappreciative. You are not owned anything. These government workers and overworked and underpaid. If you think it is so bad at this office, try going to Franklin County where the office you go to is decided by where you live. You have to get there at 7am and average length of time you will spend there is 4-7 hrs in order to be seen. If that is not enough for you try the BMV where you could waiting 2-4 hours to just get tags for your vehicle. Enjoy your day !

I thought they did great. I was in and out, they answered all my questions and did exactly what they said they were going to do. You people think this Job and Family is bad?! Head down to Vinton county and get back to me.

The ladys there have always been very kind to me.

I, like many people was lured into this office of deceit and lies with the promise of assistance when life got hard. I recently lost my job and have never had food assistance before and having found myself homeless I very much need the help while getting back on my feet. According to the liars as this office my card was mailed 3 weeks ago. Lie after lie I was told, being led to believe that I would be having food in my belly for soon. Now I am being told that I need to attend classes and do community service for the assistance I am receiving. However they have given absolutely no assistance. This government program is using homeless people to do labor and then leaving them without any of the promises they made fulfilled. Do not trust these people to ever do what they say they will. They are deceptive and misleading and have made my Christmas one without a hot meal.

Why are they so rude? I go in and get yelled at for asking about my unemployment when theres no unemployment office. I call about my food stamps and theyre even more rude and very short with me. If you hate your job that much go find a new one. Just because the people you deal with need assistance and you dont doesnt make you any better. Stop being rude to us!

The people down there need to be more professional .they should own up to their mistakes i think that office needs to be monitor because there are people in that office you may no and they will sit around and talk about you and if the are childish they let their personal feeling get in the way of their job..i had a friend that told me she talk to a lday from the agency they thought she walked out the building and she didnt she heard them talking about her..they also need to learn how the new programs they ae given..i went two yrs without any asst..me and my family had not money at all not a cent..they told me they couldnt help me it wasnt until three months before my retirement came i went back down; there and the new manager told me i was eilgible for asst..i tell you if you feel that you are being disrespect and talk to like trash..etc you should reach out to someone outside of the agency

There is so much crap I could say but it would take forever .. this place 100% sucks when you call for one they dont answer or if they do you get PUT ON HOLD FOREVER *_* there also rude I try my best not to have to deal with this place..
