Had a huge request for Delaware Express and they delivered! D.E. took their time to understand the expectations before booking our shuttles, sending out confirmations, and following up with specifics prior to providing their services. Toni proved to be incredibly reliable and easy to work with, but the whole team did their part in making sure our expectations were met. Thank you!

Waited over two hours for our shuttle with no correspondence at all from Delaware Express. After we called to inquire about our ride after waiting 35 mins once we let them know we were at the airport we were advised it would be another 30 min wait. Then after the 30 minutes and still no shuttle we called back only to discover they put the answering machine on so they didn’t have to take calls.It’s truly a shame because the Drivers are great. It is obvious the company over extends themselves and books shuttles knowing they cannot accommodate.Very disappointed in Delaware Express and will never book or recommend to anyone.

While I have had exceptional service with Delaware Express in the past, this last time was terrible. I booked a car to take me to PHL at 3:45. At 3:55 I called to see where the driver was and was told he was in Bear and would be there between 4:15 and 4:30. I said I had to be there at 4:15 and was told the recommended time to leave was 4:30.... cancelled the car and drove myself! Took me 35 minutes due to traffic!! I would have been late to check in had I waited! Terrible service!

I booked a round trip to the airport, the morning of my trip the driver was a no show no call or text! So we packed up our car already running late he finally called but it was to late he said he was over worked. We almost missed our flight. Coming home the day before I received a message as a reminder that they had my driver would be there, after my baggage was picked up my husband got a text stating they wanted us to text went we were ready, so we did but no response back we called and waited finally a text that he will be there in 10 or 13 minutes, after a long wait we finally reach someone at the office who said no one was coming and that it was like that all day, but if I want he could call me a taxi! Why would I trust you to call a taxi for me after this ? I want my money back and I will never use them again, we finally got a ride home 4 hours later😡😡😡😡 DO NOT USE THEM YOU WILL REGRET IT💩

Made a limo reservation August 3rd online (and paid). Returned yesterday after a 9 hours flight and 6 hour time change to find our driver left. He sent a text he was there but when we called that we had our bags he stated someone else was to pick us up now. We called the office and found out that the new driver was 30 minutes away with a van!! So we paid for a limo and got a van and had to wait more then 30 minutes for the new drivers. We were told a customer service manger would calls us back, but no surprise no one called.

Delaware Express left my wife and kids stranded in Philly at 1am on 6/20/21. I called when the driver wasn’t there to pick them up and was told by Jake that my reservation didn’t exist. If I could rate you 0 stars I would. And I will see you Monday morning in person Delaware Express. 🤬

Let me first say that Ive had excellent service from Delaware Express in the past. However, recently we waited at our pick-up time and nothing. When I called them, I was told that someone failed to change my revised pick-up time. The best they could offer was for Newark Taxi to pick me up and I could get reimbursed later. I was seething! We ended up driving and paying for long trip parking. My most recent customer service experience was terrible but everyone is entiled to mistakes I guess. You would think they would have made a better offer when they realized their error, or offer a complementary trip in the future....

I booked a limo for 7pm for a 730pm reservation I had in Newark Delaware. After the limo driver was a no call no show at 720pm I contacted the office. The office was unaware that the driver hadnt shown. They followed up with dispatch to get in touch with driver. The driver told dispatch that he was stuck in traffic and would be another 45 mins late. I asked why I had not been told of the delay but was told they would look into it. I ended up driving to and from my event.The owner Ben told me the next day on a call that I would receive a full refund. Im still waiting. Ended up disputing all charges with my bank.

Have used Delaware Express for many years. Over the past few years the service has gone progressively down hill. Poor and lack of communication from dispatch. No indication of pickup location and no one shows up at the airport.

Joe Bonney was great to work with. We were able to find the perfect package for our wedding day at a reasonable price. Our drivers also went above and beyond to make sure our guests (and parents) were happy and the day went smoothly. Cant recommend highly enough!

My sister used to live in a small town in Maryland, and she used Delaware Express Shuttle for all her trips to/from the Philadelphia airport since 2015. The drivers are very professional and always on time. She has also used the one-day tours to New York from Delaware, and they are absolutely great, you cannot beat the price for a comfortable ride. As you can tell, we will be using Delaware Express from/to the airport to our hotel in Maryland, and we are also so excited to be able to take one more trip to New York during our stay! Yesterday my husband & I went to NYC With DE Express to see the Radio City Christmas Show. The seats were excellent. The Show was fantastic! And the bus ride was smoooooth! And we had time to go to the Top of the Rock (great 360 degree view of NYC) and eat and drink out. What a spectacular trip!

We used Delaware Express to take us to/from the Philadelphia airport to Wilmington the first week of May. We were picked up at 7am quite promptly by our lovely driver, Matthew. He was absolutely wonderful! Full of joy, and a pleasure to talk to. I would highly recommend him! On our return trip, we were again picked up fairly quickly at the airport. However, we felt our driver could have gone a bit more slowly during our time on the road. We were sitting in the back of the van, and could feel every bump that the driver sped over. We shared the ride with 4 other people, and were the second to be dropped off. Although we didnt mind it too much, we felt that it was probably worth the extra money to have a DE Express private car pick us up next time.Overall, we definitely recommend this company, and will be using them again!

I dont often leave reviews. Id give zero stars for the customer service I received on the phone, but my driver was nice which is why Im giving any stars at all. I have never used a shuttle service so honestly I didnt really know what I was doing. I called and I wasnt prepared with all the information I needed on hand. The lady on the phone was very rude and impatient. I understand I was an inconvenience to her but it is her job to help customers, especially confused ones using a service for the first time . She rudely told me I wasnt being proactive and to call back when I figure out what Im doing. Ive never been treated like that while trying to use a service. I found it extremely unprofessional. Once I called back and got my shuttle, I asked for a receipt via email and never received it. Not happy and wont use again.

Ive used Delaware Express since they opened and highly recommend them. Comfortable vehicles and courteous drivers. I would suggest that you request pick up 15 to 30 minutes before the time they suggest to allow for drivers running late and/or bad traffic.

Wow. I cannot say enough good things about Delaware Express. We hired them for our wedding in Philadelphia. The entire process exceeded my expectations. Starting with Joe our sales manager, professional, responsive and flexible. I know I threw some curveballs at him due to changes in our plans and he went out of his way to ensure that our needs were met despite some disorganization of my behalf. Thanks Joe. Our driver, Matthew is an incredible man. Extremely friendly, exceptionally professional and of course a great driver. Thank you Delaware Express. Your business did an excellent job. They have the best Sunday choices around always reccomend them to friends and family. I got the apple pie Sunday its my current favorite. The always popular banana fudge Sunday is great too. Want to try the swedish fish and the mango water ice and vanilla soft serve combo is killer. Good spot to take family.

I am very happy with Delaware Express. Ive used their van several times when my family travels. This time, I was very happy with the nice driver David. I made a reservation yesterday after an international flight and my driver is David. He was very polite when he picked us up and tried to help as much as possible. After a 12 + 2 hour flight, we were so tired and forgot our big black backpack when we left the van. We didnt even realize this until 5 hours later. I quickly called Delaware Express, the person who answered my call was very polite and ensured me that they would call me as soon as they found my bag. Rest assured, only after a couple of hours, I got a call from Gary in Delaware Express, and we picked the backpack up from their Newark office. Gary and David were both there and we are so grateful. I would highly recommend Delaware Express, especially for PHL airport.

I waited at the airport for over 2 hours before being picked up. This service claims that it was suppose to be there within 20 minutes. I had to call multiple times to get an update to see when my driver was coming. When they finally arrived, I had to wait another 30 min for him to pick up other passengers. Told the cust service rep to have the manager give me a call but the call never came. That will be the last time I use this service.

The drivers are great and safe. Customer Service is atrocious. I just waited for 1.5 hours at the airport. Had to call customer service several times and it’s futile because they don’t communicate with the drivers apparently. Get them some flip phones at least! Do yourself a favor and avoid this company.

Horrible service. Never though I would be one to leave an unfavorable review but the extent of the poor service and lack of business ethics has compelled me to do so. Traveled with family including elderly mother so I paid a premium to make sure I could book private ride service. Travel to the airport was uneventful, but the return was poor and only got worse. When we connected with driver, he already had a passenger in the front seat. Not one to embarrass anyone, I mentioned to the driver in a nice way that I had paid for private service. The driver said he did not understand what private ride actually meant. I calmly explained that Delaware Express like most airport shuttle companies have private ride and shared ride and what it meant. He dropped off the other passenger first, 20 minutes further away than we live. I dont think it was drivers fault so I gave him a tip and he told me to make certain I phone the Delaware Express office to tell them what happened. I phoned on the Friday and explained the situation to the supervisor on duty. She promised me a phone call back later that day from the office manager. I never received a call. The following Monday I called back and they claimed the office manager emailed me. I checked, he did not. However, during this conversation I got an email from the person I was on the phone with and signed by the office manage. I noticed right away it was a boiler plate email they send to everyone that experiences this situation. It became obvious to me that this is a normal business for Delaware Express to give a shared ride even when a private ride is booked and paid for if they are short of drivers at that particular time. If they receive a complaint, they email this standard letter that reads they will refund the difference between private and shared ride, whilst ignoring and inconvenience they caused the customer. I wrote a letter to the business manager who apparently is a part time accountant for Delaware Express and also the owner Jerry Frenze. Neither had the courtesy to call or email me back. Will never use again. Poor business ethics.

I was very pleased with my experience with Delaware Express. I have used them twice and both times were very pleasant. The latest trip was to New York City, specifically to the New York Botanical Gardens. Staff interaction from emails to the actual bus trip was informational and professional. An electronic receipt was sent immediately after purchase of my ticket. An itinerary for the trip was sent two weeks in advance of the actual trip. It was very helpful to know the details of the trip for planning ahead, which includes times, drop off/pick up spots, and other minor details of the trip. It is good to read over the companys policy on refunds since there is a cut off time of when a full refund can be made. Only 4 out of 5 stars due to a mix up with the actual pick up time that caused a delay but otherwise a good trip. Definitely would use their services again.

I would like to give a shout out to Delaware Express. I had a great experience with this shuttle service as I was trying to get from the Philadelphia airport to a Wilmington DE hotel. I booked the trip and then proceeded to have delay upon delay with my flights. They tracked the delays and provided a driver for me at 1 am (4 hours after my original ETA). The driver, Adam, was so very kind and efficient and my time from plane landing to the time I arrived at my hotel was minimal. I so appreciate the service I was provided and recommend Delaware Express to anyone!

We used a shuttle for our guests at our wedding. The prices were competitive and the driver was on time and polite. They were flexible with our shuttle routes. We will say you should call and check in with them again before your event/service to ensure they have the information/ correct details.

After waiting for another 15 minutes I called them again and a very rude lady hang up the phone because she wasn’t happy about my complaints. I have used them 3 times so far, to and from the Philadelphia International Airport, and each time they were on time, professional and very courteous!We book them online and Ive never had a problem with them.In fact, one driver named Sam was so honest that he brought my cell phone back to me at the airport after I absent mindedly left it in the shuttle! He even came back later to check on me, knowing how upset I was at myself earlier.I will happily be using them again!

I live in southeastern Chester county, 50 mn away from the airport. The shuttle took us through Delaware and it took me 90 mn to get to the airport. Back to PHL, i call Del Express as i can’t see the shuttle. The person on the phone hangs up on me. I call back and she tells me to wait for 20 mn and hangs up again, leaving me no time to ask any question. The previous time I took Del Express, we had to wait for a customer for 30 mn by her house and I was late for my plane. This is it. They lost another customer to Uber.

The worst service ever. After waiting for more than an hour and a half, I was picked up in a van with 10 other people. I did not arrive home until 5 hours after my plane landed. The ride should be around 45 minutes. The response from customer service was that they were very busy, but would be happy to cancel my trip (and the manager would call me the following day). The phone call never came. It was the last ride I will ever take with them.

Update 4/4/19- once again Del Express has failed to pick me up for a prearranged appt. This will be my last review because after more than 4 years of regularly giving them my business I quit them. They have systemic issues that leadership has failed to address. If you need travel to airport, choose another business. Zero stars!While most of the drivers provide great service, the dispatch operations are poor and inefficient. Picked up again today in F terminal at PHL. You would think all riders would be on by then. But no, the driver has to exit airport and go back in and pick up another passenger. They do not care about the riders but more about collecting fares. Disappointing!

Our School Hired Them To Take Us To Washington D.C For 6th Grade Class Trip Our Driver Ralph Was Awsome. He Definitely Knows How To Drive That Bus. He Was Very Professional And New The Area Great He Even Helped Another Driver Who Had To Wait A Little Longer To Leave With Directions To Avoid Traffic Which Helped Them Arrive Back At School Not Much After Us. BEWARE! I did not try the direct limo but the shared service. Ended up arriving in Philly at 2:30pm. Was originally told would get me to my destination by 3:30pm. I made a reservation at the destination for 4pm. We circled the airport, picking up more passengers.Each time the driver would try to leave, he got page to get another. We did not leave the airport until 3:45! I could have taken a taxi. Took the driver an hour to get me to my destination. Will never use again!

This my third Red Clay School District field trip using Delaware Express and each time we have had a bus break down. Delaware Express does not have reliable equipment at all! I don’t recommend using them as a charter service. On one field trip to Washington DC we ordered 4 buses and only 3 showed up. We were told that a bus had malfunctioned, and because it was a busy time of the year for them, there were no back up busses. Last month on another field trip to Franklin Center a bus suffered equipment failure in the middle of our field trip. Tonight we had 3 business rented to take Cab Calloway students to Dorney Park. Our buses were supposed to leave at 9 pm but we were told that bus #2 is no longer working. All passengers had to get off the bus but there would be no replacement bus. The Park is closed. We have no other transportation back to Wilmington. Delaware Express’s solution is - we can’t get a bus to you so 3 bus loads of passengers must now fit onto 2 buses. We have 3 students seated in 2 seats to cram everyone in. We don’t mind doing this at all because we want everyone to get home together but this is incredibly unsafe for all of us and we are fearful that an over capacity bus poses a severe safety threat. Delaware Express clearly doesn’t care about our children and its customers. If they did they would not repeatedly send faulty equipment out on field trips or fail to have reserve buses in the event of emergencies. I wish that the owners and management of this company would treat our students and families with the same level of care that they would give their own families. My son just asked me if we could give them less than 1 star. Sadly we can’t, I wished that ZERO was an option.

This service is horrible. Weve used them multiple times and they are always late picking us up from the airport. They claim 20 minutes until they pick you up but tonight (for example) they were an hour late. Next time just using Uber. Gave them 2 stars since they did eventually come.

Do not use this service!!! They do not honor their price quotes and instead stick you with an expensive bill at pick up when its too late to make other arrangements. I ended up paying several hundred dollars in additional costs for a 10 passenger round trip between Delaware and JFK. Although I tried working it out with them given the fact that they screwed up and I failed to spot their screw up, they refused to do anything except credit me $23. Buyer beware!!!

I am so disappointed by the service I received on the phone with this company just a minute ago. Im so upset I had to right my review immediately. First off I am in the service business so I know all about customer satisfaction and what I just received in the phone just now was a disgusting. I am currently looking for a company to escort me, my daughter and four other fathers and there daughters to a father and daughter ball this Saturday. I call this company on the phone and the woman who answered the phone acted like she hates her job. I asked her how much is it for service from Bear to the Riverfront, she rudely says its 131 we are not a taxi service. I said no Im calling for a limo how much for the limos. She says how many people I say 10, she says well our limos holds 8 people I said thats okay she told me no you have to get a 15 passenger party bus I said no I would like a limo for the 8 people please. With a attitude she says make up your mind do you have 10 people or 8 people?? I said you know what I cant do Buisness with people who have attitudes like this. She said whatever who cares. Wow. I cant believe they have people answering there phones like this for there Buisness. I would not recommend a company who doesnt listen or care about the clients needs nor says they dont care if they get Buisness. Beware of this company. I will never ever use them for anything. Period.

Stay far away from these guys. I had a reservation for them to pick me up from PHL last month to bring me to my home in Middletown, Delaware. Due to a flight cancellation my travel plans changed and I was to come into BWI. I called Delaware Express to notify them of the change and a very nice representative not only changed my car reservation to pick me up in Baltimore for the new flight, but also sent me a written confirmation of the change. All seemed well and that evening I took my flight to BWI.Upon arrival at BWI I followed the instructions on my updated confirmation and called the dispatcher to alert them to my arrival. The dispatcher tells me it will be three hours before the car can pick me up. 3 hours. Its now 8pm (my scheduled arrival time) and I have to wait another 3 hours for the car I had a written reservation to pick me up at arrival. Not good.The dispatcher isnt the least bit interested in my troubles. But as it was now almost 8:30 pm, there was no way I was going to wait 3 hours to be picked up after being in meetings all day and then a flight for 2 hours. I considered a rental car but returning it in Middletown would be a challenge and it was cost prohibitive. My only other option was Uber.Middletown, DE is not exactly close to BWI. Have you ever tried to get an uber to take you from BWI to Central Delaware? Of course you havent. Because its a ridiculous thing to do. No drivers wanted to accept the trip. The fare was $120+ but they didnt want to drive so far with a guarantee of a long drive back with no customer/fare. After an hour of trying I finally found an uber driver willing to make the trip.I called the dispatcher back to let him know I wasnt waiting for their car. He let me know it hadnt even left yet anyway (at 9pm). So this tells me they were never planning to pick me up at all. I registered my displeasure and he promised me someone from management would call me in the morning.$150 later (including a tip for the driver who took pity on me) I finally made it home at midnight. I landed at BWI at 7:30 pm for the record.The next day I received no call from Delaware Express. Finally in the late afternoon I called them and was connected to the Operations Manager. To say he was unapologetic is an understatement. He blamed me for the entire incident - apparently I shouldnt have changed the original reservation and the confirmation of the change that his staff had emailed me was inconsequential. He laughed at me when I told him of my struggles hailing an uber. He found the entire situation much funnier than I did.Only when I mentioned that I worked for a very large firm in Philadelphia did he begrudgingly agree to look into a refund. I also told him that he could either cancel my future reservations or agree to comp the next trip. He agreed to the comp (not sure why I put myself in a position for more abuse) and told me Id hear back from him early the next week.As you can probably guess, I never heard back from the operations manager or anyone else at Delaware Express. I disputed the charge with American Express. As you can imagine, I was pretty frustrated by now that I never heard back from Delaware Express, so I opened a Better Business Bureau case. Only then did I receive any response from them, They responded they were still working on a refund and that I would receive my next airport trip free. I did get my money back soon after but not due to any action of Delaware Express, American Express refunded it as a result of my dispute.Fast forward to this week. I flew into PHL and used my free ride to get back home. Can you guess what happened next? They charged me for the ride. Unreal. Currently opening my second American Express dispute.Use anyone else for your transportation needs in Delaware. Customer service is a foreign concept to this company.
