Hands down the best place I have been in years. I won’t go anywhere else for a haircut as long as these guys are here. Spencer does a great job. The shop is always laid back and welcoming.

Best place in Licking County to get a haircut by far. Started coming here and getting cut by Spencer a few months ago and I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else now. This definitely beats the hell out of going to Great Clips lol. 3 high class individuals and very skilled barbers running this place. Come check it out, it will definitely not disappoint.

City Barbers is an excellent Barbershop. Very Clean, Very Welcoming and they have a great Team! Ben is an undisputed champ when it comes to cutting hair. I would highly recommend him. City Barbers are Best in Class!!

They totally nailed what Theodore was asking for and treated him like one of the guys even though hes three, and that makes him so happy. Theyre patient with him asking how everything works, not holding still well, and have even worked him in when he once cut both his and his cats hair.

I asked for my bangs to be eye level and they cut them 2 inches above the eye they also messed up the sides I went in for a trim and basically had nothing left when I walked out

Definitely not worth the price! Go to hickmans barbershop. This place is for hipsters. They take way to many breaks and are constantly distracted.

My boyfriend went in to get a haircut, his first time being there. As he entered, everyone looked at him but no one greeted him. He proceeded to wait for 30 minutes,As head after head gets cut from apparent appointments(Which is fine) but atleast could have told me there was a wait before he say through several people getting cut ahead of me. Or one of them could have maybe said welcome to city barbers or something lol

Aaron did absolutely wonderful with my 18 month old son today... I will absolutely be bringing him back from now one.. it was his first haircut and he freaked out and Aaron handled it wonderfully!👍Ps.. sorry my baby freaked out lol.. definitely recommended!

Very unprofessional went in for a haircut with my son and as soon as I sat down they asked if I had an appointment. I told them no and they said we arent doing walk ins. Didnt offer to make a appt or anything just noted the only Black barber that works there wasnt in and we can come back when hes in....... I left feeling undervalued to say the least

I’ve been going to another shop for years and today decided to give this place a shot. I’m glad I had, They did a great job my sons and my hair. This will be our new place we go for hair cuts.

Best place for a mens haircut in town, hands down.

Since I first went here soon after they opened this is the only barbershop I will go to. Spencer does an outstanding job. The shop itself has an old school atmosphere while still being clean and modern in a way which is great and the quality of the work done here is exceptional. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

I will fully detail why, so you do not think it is out of spite.I had assumed you was from the area and asking $20 for a haircut, is steep. You are downtown Newark not downtown Granville.You also stopped cutting my hair at least 20 times to talk to another customer about possibly moving your shop, different business ideas, how to make more money off of your customers. You also bought a jacket in the middle of my cut.You were so distracted you had missed a patch on the bottom of my neck and my beard was not even.To answer your question, yes I gave you a 2 star because of your price. You get a 1 Star because of the service and the fact I paid $30 for a haircut that had flaws and took an exceptionally long time because you took multiple breaks. And then you took some more breaks. And then a few more.Again. A great place for hipsters.

Took my grandson there today. Taken right back at appt time. Place looks great, and smells great inside. Partitions are up between chairs and barbers wore masks. Can make appointments online. Great service, well definitely be back.

The best experience I’ve ever had getting my haircut. From the modern atmosphere, to the free water and coffee. Even my 6 year old Son enjoyed the mini arcade room that they have available. Kept him happy and quiet lol On top of all that we left there feeling like a Million. Those guys know how to cut hair and clearly care about giving back to families and to the community. Absolutely recommend!

After years of going to clip joints I decided to go back to a real barber...what a great experience. I had forgotten what it is like for a barber to take their time, had forgotten about shaving cream and a straight razor on the back of my neck, had forgotten about a hot towel afterward. I wont be going anywhere else from now on...wonderful Aaron cut my hair and did a great job.

Great group of guys that work here and are very professional and good at what they do. Atmosphere is awesome and if you have kids its very kid friendly with the old school arcade games. Highly recommend these guys!

Best shop in town!

Spencer has been cutting my hair for over 7 years. It’s always a great cut. This new shop is sharp and clean and the atmosphere is friendly and positive. There is even a room for kids (or adults) to play free arcade games while they wait. These barbers care about doing it right!

I took my 7 year old today and we will definitely be back! We loved the atmosphere and left loving the cut. My son said he didn’t like it...he LOVED it!
