I first had my vehicle detailed at Tradition in Newark a few years ago because I was given a gift certificate. I prepared myself that it might not be as good a job as the shop I typically use. I was so impressed when I picked it up however, that I switched for good! Just had it detailed again this week. I was sort of embarrassed how dirty it had gotten... life has been busy! Picked it up at the end of the day and it literally was spotless. Like new again- did not think that was possible. Highly recommend. Worth every Penny.

My check engine light was fixed all under warranty but the great thing was that the service tech Bill arranged to have me transported home to wait for the repairs. This worked out great as they werent able to fix the car till the next day. Bill sent the car out to pick me up, paid my bill as I had other work done while the car was at the shop, and drove home. Thanks for the lift and the car runs great now.

I’m very happy with my experience and would highly recommend. Today’s car buying experience is hard. No one is willing to work with you and most will tell you they don’t have too. No regard for the common consumer. Tradition worked with me when no one else would and offered me the most for my trade. They were very polite and professional, honoring everything they said. They made this very easy and I thanked them for it. They even knew I came an 1.5 hrs away so made sure we got the deal done and drove home with it in 2 hours. We did find some imperfects on the car and they were right on top of it. Also car was missing a third row mat and they cared very much it wasn’t there and offered multiple solutions. With my lease coming up in January, they will be my first call.

Usually I give the highest scores, but on this visit there was an unforeseen breakdown with the lift that my vehicle was on. There was a delay while personnel scrambled to fix the problem as fast as possible. Offers were made to me to compensate for my time. Great people!

They are okay, have my Equinox head gasket replaced there. Have to come back because the car started to leak oil from valve cover but they fixed professionally with no extra cost.Guess can happen to anyone. I will continue to bring my car there.

Long story short. What started out as the single worst car buying experience ever was saved by Chris and the other mgmt team. We waited 6months for our veh no fault of tradition. Unfortunately by the time it came in, the salesman who we had worked with left the organization so we were given a different sales person. The issues regarding this purchase were mostly communication related which caused massive frustration on our part. But the mgmt team stepped up and acknowledged the issues and promptly helped to resolve them. So what could have turned ugly real fast was turned into a happy customer with a new truck.

I had no expectations when I went to the dealership. I was browsing cars in the parking lot and was soon greeted by Jim Bruni. He was very nice and informative when it came to the vehicles. He was attentive to what I wanted and what I was looking for in a vehicle. The process of buying a vehicle, especially during the pandemic, was very laid back which gave me a more comforted vibe and feeling. I would go back to Tradition in Newark in the future!

I was looking for a newer used truck all over the area (around a 30 mile radius), but the prices are quite high. By chance I looked on Tradition Chevrolets website and found a new 2021 GMC Canyon. It was exactly what I was looking for. Extended cab, 4 wheel drive, V6 motor, but otherwise a base model. Went in to take a look. Very happy I did. Friendly staff that was not pushy in anyway. The sales person, Brenda, and the rest of the staff worked with me to get to a comfortable price. Again without any high pressure. I wanted to stay local if possible and it turned out great.

I called a week prior to have power steering pump replaced. it should have been on the shelf for when my car pulled into the lot to put it on. it was not and it took 3 and a half days to get my vehicle back. what good is it to tell you what i need? Do you have oil in stock for a oil change?

Traditions Newark was very quick getting me an appointment to get my van detailed. The service was performed the same day. When I picked it up I was very pleasantly surprised at how well they were able to clean it. Having 4 young children, they really do a number on a vehicle and after Traditions detailed it, you’d never know a child rode in it. Excellent service!

Dont worry about the hard sell on the extended warranty. Didnt happen they just seek it in on the bill . No details about it . Left dealership with no front license plate because there was no holder .I am guessing they must have missed that when they went over the car and inspected it . Waited to hear back from dealership till I left this review .

It was apparent that Jim and his colleagues worked hard in order to get me in something newer that I would like, where other places either denied me or didn’t give me any choices. As far as person to person, I don’t know if anybody treats their customers better than the folks at Tradition.

I had a 11am appointment to have my car inspected. I waited 1 hour and 10 minutes and finally got upset enough to see what the problem was. The car was still on the lift. He went to check and I was told the front hubs were locking up, whatever they are. I was given a loner because they werent in stock. Almost half way home, the low tire pressure message was on the dash. That just added insult to injury.I dont believe they started the inspection at 11 am. It should not take that long to find the problem. I was even told by the guy doing the inspection he heard the noise when I pulled upDont you think that would have been checked first.The whole situation has left a very bad taste for me.The experience was totally unacceptable.

I went to get to get a key made and my new fob programmed for my SUV. The service guys were very polite. My only concern, which is why there are only three star, is that it took 1.25 hours to get it done. I had an appointment. They knew I was coming. I am pretty sure that those two activities do not take that long.

Very nice people, who found me a less expensive way to fix my muffler. Instead of trying to sell me new parts, they were able to weld the muffler back together. They did not replace anything without my permission, and stayed within the estimate. They got my car back to me quick, and followed up to make sure I was happy with the service. Hands down, the best experience I have ever had a a new car dealer service center.I received a recall notice for my car and made an appointment with Tradition. I asked them to also do a transmission flush. Although it wasnt due for another 20,000 miles, I explained that I was feeling shuddering in the transmission and just wanted to do it for peace of mind. When I dropped it off, the transmission tech (Im sorry I forgot his name) asked me to go for a ride with him to confirm the shudder. We did and we returned to the repair shop he explained to me what was happening in detail.Later that day I got the call that it was done. When I picked it up, the service writer told me what had been done and that he was able to get the transmission service covered under my factory warranty. This saved me at least $200.Tradition Chevrolet will be my go-to new car dealer from now on.Thanks for the great service guys!

Drove an hour to look at a GMC Yukon. I worked with the salesman named Austin who was very friendly.The biggest issue I have with the dealership is they significantly lowballed the price of my trade in. After much haggling, and having to go to the “manager” multiple times they finally came up 2.5k from their “cash” offer.Look up your trade, know what your vehicle is worth, and do not accept their first offer.The price on their vehicle was below MSRP, which was great to see.After negotiations were done, the rest of the process went as smooth as could be. There was an RMA on the vehicle so they had to fix a small wiring issue. While rushing to fix the vehicle for us so they could sell it the service tech ripped the zipper.I will not fault them for it because it will be replaced at no cost to us, and they promised to re-clean the vehicle after service too. So that was kind of them. And shows great customer service.The only thing I wasn’t trilled about was the dealer negotiation games. I know they try to make money as they are a business but if you hadn’t just wasted my time over ~3k and gave me a honest price upfront to save time I would have given 5 stars.

Considering the lack of inventory the staff at Tradition were quite helpful. We purchased a new Traverse, which was the only one left, at the time, outside of New York county.

I have been taking all of our vehicles here since 2018. That includes multiple trucks including an F350 work truck and all my families vehicles. All the service team is Great to deal with, especially Josh.I also turned in my 2017 Silverado lease after talking to the GM Finance company and told them the truck had 12k miles on a 2017 and had already bought a new truck and no longer needed the Chevy. I figured they would be interested in getting a low mile flawless truck back and sell it for a good price etc. GM Finance told me no it will be like a repo 🤔🤔 (I had less than two months left, and I told them I would obviously pay those months.So long story short (too late) brought it in to Tradition Chevy, sales team looked at it for under 5 minutes and bought it from GM Finance on the spot for their inventory. Saved me any additional fees and my last payment!! This is a stand up dealership soup to nuts and they actually care about their customers.
